Coupon code - why not add this to your "thank you or purchasing email"  then refund them if they use it.   On my other site we use these a lot, not automated but in wit their parcel and not once have they been used, even with repeat purchases

Not quite sure I understand how you do it.

My idea of the purpose of a coupon code is not to say "Thank You" for a purchase that has been made already but to trigger a purchase and set a time limit for it.
For instance running a "special" with a coupon code that gives you XX% discount when you order within XX hours/days.

Symbiostock - Development Area / Release status publishing?
« on: July 21, 2013, 08:09 »
With all the great new plugins/theme upgrades popping up, I'm wondering if the issue of being able to publish the release status on the image page has been addressed yet.
Or maybe there is an easy fix or workaround for it that I'm not aware of?

I think it's important to show the potential customer if there are model/property releases available or not.

Also, another nice feature would be to add coupon codes to the shopping experience.

I do not have anything at all where you are showing the line in your demo image but changed the other line using the information above so it reads like this http://stockimages.kerioak.com/image/

I know where to change what you are referring to.
But I meant the breadcrumb item.

229
Awesome, Thank you so much.

230
Very nice. Love the image widget.

This "Royalty Free Images" is starting to drive me crazy.

I've activated "Breadcrumbs" in YOAST SEO for better SEO performance. It's working great with the one exception that it will show "Royalty Free Images" on every image page (see picture).

http://picbreeze.com/image/young-pregnant-woman-stretching-joyfully-while-standing-in-a-field-of-tall-grass/

Does anybody know where YOAST is pulling this term from and where/how to change it? It must be some kind of category, I guess.

And for Leo, I don't know if this is asking too much, but is there a chance to substitute "Royalty Free Images" with "Stock Images" since this is causing a lot of trouble for people who don't want to sell RF images only?

Just a side note, you really need to get rid (or change the appearance) of that cookie banner on top. It hurts the design and functionality and it's hard to recognize since it has the same color as the browser bar.

It goes as soon as you click on it to agree to cookies

It probably does but you can hardly see the request to click and not many people are used to "accept" something before they can browse a website.

Congrats, Martha. Feels good to something accomplished, doesn't it.

I agree with others. An unobtrusive, simple logo would please more. Have the purchasable product (your bird images) make the impact to the visitor. Also the separation of "Birds A to M" and "Birds N to Z" might be too much. Keep it as simple and as user friendly as possible.

Other than that it's a really great start. I love the pleasing gray shades.

I grew up and spent 35 years of my life in Germany, I know the European culture pretty well.
Some of your comments really are offensive, rude and intolerant. No matter if you see it from a European or American perspective. Maybe you're lacking the perception to notice it in your own posts.

Over and out.

@JPSDK
From reading your offensive comments I sometimes get the impression that your writing is faster than your thinking.

Nobody expects you to share a culture. Sharing a little courtesy and respect might help though.

If in doubt, shutting up might sometimes be a good idea, too.

Found it. A tool called Goodsync will do just what I want after setting a filter to include JPG files only.

238
I'm not sure what O/S you are on, but in Windows you can do a search at the top-level directory for *.jpg, then select all (Ctrl-A) of the results, and then paste them as shortcuts (Alt-E, S) into a new temporary folder.  This new folder will then contain shortcuts (or pointers) to the original files.  You can then use this temporary folder to upload in FileZilla.

Thanks but I want to keep the folder structure.
I'd like to have the same folders created on the webspace because the titles contain information I need to locate files.

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: related images widget

Do you know how to install/activate a widget in general?

You need to pull it where you want it to appear.

To make the Related Images widget work you need to activate the "Related Posts By Taxonomy" plugin first.

240
Why not sort them by type so you can easily select the jpgs

Because it's too much work.
I'd like to select multiple folders and simply drag them to the webfolder while hoping that Filezilla will create all those folders but upload only the JPGs in it.

241
This doesn't have anything to do with Symbiostock but since we have very tech savvy people here I hope you don't mind if I pop that question anyway.

I'd like to pull a local file folder with at least one sub folder into a web folder inside Filezilla.
However, I want Filezilla (or any other recommended client) to filter the files to be uploaded and only upload .jpg files while ignoring raw and xmp files.

Is that possible? Any suggestions?

I extended my stock plugin here:

http://ajotte.com/stock-plugin/

Maybe it will be useful for someone :)

Very useful. Another awesome contribution to the SYS community. Thanks a lot.
Works like a charm. http://picbreeze.com/image/american-navy-concept/

Can you send me your function.php file? I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly.

Do we have to use "==" or "=" to compare?

Why don't you just use the plugin by ajt? It works out of the box and this way you don't have to mess with any code.

I could send you my functions.php but there are already other functions in it that might confuse you even more.

I agree with cidepix.
However, one possible way of cooperation I see is when a group of contributors uses only one SYS site, like a mini agency. That would probably help those people a lot who don't feel knowledgable enough to run their own site.

You don't need the term_id for the category but the term_taxonomy_id which is a different one. I made that mistake when I tried first.

Got it running, just still customizing text and appearance a little bit.

I hope you don't mind but I have used your style/wording on my image page.

Don't mind at all. Still grateful for your help.

Sorry a dumb question. How do you copy files in the server? Which software do you use?

The easiest way to copy a file if you do not do much development work is probably to download the file using an FTP program and then upload it to the new location.

Few more question:
1) Do I just paste the code at the end of the file?
2) How do I know the id of my Editorial Category?

1) No, you paste it at a position where you want it to appear. Usually underneath the image.

I've placed it under this line:
Code: [Select]
<?php do_action'ss_before_img_page_description' ); ?>
2) I looked it up in the database (phpMyAdmin) but I'm sure there is probably a more convenient way to find it.

248
isn't is simpler to go to your Author Options in the Bee Menu and Change:

Append Text to Title: to what ever you wan it to say

and then tick the Update all images and save changes?

No, that's not the same.

249
Awesome. Thanks a lot guys.

The image archive every SYS user finds at http://yourSYSdomain.com/image/ shows a headline "Royalty Free Images on ...".

Any idea where the "Royalty Free Images on" part is coming from (where to change it)? Not all images are RF.
