Hello,

I have learned lot over the past 10 years! I have shot in hospitals with my drone, out of a hot air ballon, at a fire station and the list goes on and on. My income has not been climbing even as I have produced a lot over the past year and so now I am moving on to other pastures. I have been very blessed to have done stock video as a living for the past 10 years and I have zero regrets!! It has been fun and amazing but I can not sustain my family just doing stock anymore! I have a degree in radiology from Kettering so I am going to focus on medical needs outside of the medical field. I will be selling health books that have impacted my life and I believe people will need in order to stay healthy in the future! I will still dabble in stock here and there but am shifting my focus now to health and wellness. Thanks to all here for the encouragement and discouragement :-) the forum can be a wild place. I have spent the most amazing 10 years with my family doing stock!!! Good luck to those who are in it full-time still and a final and happy farewell to all of you!  Crafted Shutter aka jjneff

People need to realize just how bad this deal is! and if you think you are good now welcome to January!! When their Staff takes a 50% pay cut in January then they can come talk to me! Yes, I deactivated all my photos on SS and have not uploaded any new content to them. Pond5 and Adobe are are best bet in town. I am very willing to take some pain
for long term gains. The way SS is going video will be at 25cents per download very soon!

Some of you may have heard by now that Jason left Pond5 in May for a new opportunity. We reached many milestones under Jasons leadership and we wish him and his family all the best in their new venture!

Taking on CEO duties will be Tom Crary, our CFO for six years. Many of you have met or spoken with Tom during his tenure here - either on the phone, in our office or at industry events like NAB. This is not an official press release, so I wanted to give you guys my unfiltered thoughts on this. Tom is someone who understands clearly that artists are the core of Pond5s business. He is a sleeves-rolled-up kind of executive who has been in the industry for a while and knows our business inside and out. Hes got a sharp mind and a big heart. In working with him for six years Ive often been surprised to see him personally taking calls, pulling data and explaining initiatives to individual artists, regardless of how large their portfolios were.

Tom understands that the Pond5 brand is intimately connected to our artists and content. The team here is energized to have him at the helm. So please join me in extending a hearty congrats to Tom. Heres to moving forward together!

My images are gone from SS. I just wanted to say to everyone keep up the pressure, companies bank on it dying out but where ever you can on social media give them some love. I just commented on an SS ad on FB. Everyone is doing great! Keep in mind post people give up or quit right before success.
