Olympic, olympics are trademarked by the IOC so you should remove them.
Apart from that, maybe you could add in amphitheatre seeing as you have both UK and American spellings of theatre/theater. 29

For anyone deleting files from Adobe, note the following clause in your contributor agreement:
"6.2 Managing the Work. You may remove any Work from the Website at any time, provided, however, that you do not remove more than 100 items of Work or 10% of the Work, whichever is greater, in any 90-day period without 90 days' prior written notice to Adobe." https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/content/dam/cc/en/legal/servicetou/Adobe_Stock_Contributor_Agreement_Addl_Terms_en_US_20240216.pdf 30
General - Top Sites / Re: Envato/MotionArray graphics in stock footage?« on: March 30, 2025, 06:13 »
The license from Envato may allow you to use the content commercially, however you also need to look at the contributor agreement for the sites you are submitting to, and I think you will find that the answer is no.

Adobe Stock / Re: what comes after "1 year ago"?« on: March 21, 2025, 16:59 »
I agree with this theory. Mine that have got stuck in review have location keywords that the bot probably didn't understand and may have flagged for IP concerns. When I re-uploaded them without the location names they were accepted overnight.

A relief to be heading back up again after a slump in January. $$ 84% better than January, 25% better than last February.

General Stock Discussion / Re: istock exclusivity no longer a simple choice, now needs application?« on: March 18, 2025, 05:13 »
Based on my image sales I would seriously consider Image Exclusivity with them, but I doubt they would accept me because I don't "shoot lifestyle". I would not go back to video exclusivity with them as their video RPD is ridiculously low.

Adobe Stock / Re: What's your weekly ranking and how many images?« on: March 05, 2025, 22:35 »
@cobalt
It makes sense that you are supplying the standard 25fps PAL/European frame rate, because it sounds like the type of videos you're shooting are going to mostly appeal to buyers in Europe. Can't you shoot in native 25fps though? Do you only have cameras that can shoot 30fps/29.97fps? There are a few ways to convert 30fps to 25fps but I think most stock sites recommend sticking to the native frame rate. The simplest conversion method will cause choppiness because one frame in every 6 is dropped. 35
Adobe Stock / Re: What's your weekly ranking and how many images?« on: March 05, 2025, 16:25 »I record in 4k at 30 fps or 29.97 depending on camera. Just wondering why you're converting your 30fps/29.97fps to 25fps and not keeping the native frame rate? 36
Adobe Stock / Re: Do you submit images from Firefly?« on: March 04, 2025, 05:34 »
I don't do much AI but sometimes I do a thing where I use Firefly to generate the main focal point of a planned image, then I take that into Photoshop and paste it into a larger canvas and gradually outpaint it with generative fill in 1024x1024 blocks for max quality. It works pretty well for wide angle landscapes. At the end I downscale the whole image a bit. Haven't had any rejections.

General Stock Discussion / Re: MASSIVE ACTION NEEDED - we are closing stock accounts of image thieves« on: February 24, 2025, 18:27 »
Is Shutterstock possibly starting to take a tougher stance? I spotted this article in the contributor dashboard:
https://support.submit.shutterstock.com/s/article/Why-was-my-content-rejected-for-Previously-Submitted-Content?language=en_US "Shutterstock does not accept duplicate content If your content was rejected for Submitted to a Different Account or Previously Submitted Content it is because the content has already been submitted to another contributors account. Submitting content you do not own or control violates Shutterstock's Contributor Terms of Service. Shutterstock reserves the right to terminate your account if it is found that you are submitting content that you do not own or control." Note: This of course does not apply to me personally. (Just in case someone reading my post interprets it that way!) 40
Shutterstock.com / Re: SS removed the legacy uploader« on: February 24, 2025, 04:15 »
I used Chrome instead of Safari today and had no issues with the new uploader. I suppose I could alert SS support about the Safari issues, however often in the past when I have reported bugs the support staff were extremely polite but nothing ever got actioned.

Shutterstock.com / Re: SS removed the legacy uploader« on: February 22, 2025, 06:11 »What operating system, computer hardware, browser? We shouldn't have to guess? Honestly no one can give you an accurate, intelligent answer, without knowing what you are using to connect. I never intended for anyone here to troubleshoot this for me! I can contact SS support for that. But fyi my operating system, computer hardware, browser are Mac OS 14.6.1, Apple M2 Studio, Safari 17.6. I will try with Chrome instead next time I upload. 42
Shutterstock.com / Re: SS removed the legacy uploader« on: February 20, 2025, 05:37 »
I tried to use the new one but after I entered my description, keywords, category and Illustration file type and tried to submit, most of what I had entered disappeared! I tried doing it in different orders, and saving multiple times during the process but no matter what I did I lost my inputs and couldn't submit. I ended up using the suggestion above about getting to the legacy version via the keywording tool and was able to submit that way. Can anyone advise how to use the new version successfully?

So the keywording tool is only available in legacy? I really hope they don't remove it!

Well, Adobe Stock does have the most responsive algo, where files that have been downloaded move up in search results almost immediately. Whether this is the best algo or not, idk.

General Stock Discussion / Stock video maximum file sizes on different agencies« on: January 22, 2025, 05:37 »
If you're submitting video in Pro Res 422 or Pro Res 422 HQ it can mean quite large file sizes. I made this list of maximum file sizes for myself, and maybe it is useful for others too:

iStockPhoto.com / Re: December stats are up« on: January 18, 2025, 05:50 »
I was happy with the month. It confirmed what I was predicting, that I have revitalised my port enough to take my annual revenue back to above pre-2017 levels. One thing that's a bit disappointing is that I have a vector best-seller that seems to be approaching the end of its lifespan. I got randomly lucky with the algorithm and it peaked at 80 DL's per month in April 2024, but now is down to 24 downloads per month. It's still has very high visibility though - it's still on page 1 of a search for "pattern background", so maybe the decline is due to a lot of subscribers having already licensed it, and there not being enough new subscribers?
