Add to the above I couldn't submit monthly poll vote either. Tried twice and it just took me back to an unfilled page for February. Obviously a few site issues tonight.

Just talked to someone at Adobe, they are reading this thread and seems like they are listening to the concerns posted here ...that's a breath of fresh air. hopefully Adobe Stock (contributor) Portal will evolve to a lean & mean insight machine for all of us contributors.
If Adobe are reading this they should now that their Uploaded Files submission page is very buggy especially if you multi select files.
The 'Recognizable people or property?' buttons are not working properly. They work great the first time and then they break. Even when 'No' is already selected you have to click on 'Yes' and then 'No' again.
The 'Auto Keywords' always messes up when you multi select. It adds auto keywords whether you want them or not. It does not remember any keywords the file may already have.
Got caught by this too. With a single image the auto keywords came up and I just deleted them and pasted in my correct set. When I multi selected several images I didn't see any auto words appear and just added mine and submitted not knowing the auto words were there. Which is why I now have Greek island images pending with handy keywords such as Turkey and Jordan! I'm hoping data can be amended if accepted? What I really want is a way to just permanently disable that auto keyword feature. Anyone found if that's possible? Experienced keyworders probably don't need or want it and new people (who might find it useful) are poorly served by having random (wrong) countries ascribed to their images. That said, I actually liked the upload page and found the process simple and intuitive (auto words apart).

Maybe it works differently for photographs, I am an illustrator and I got several custom work requests through shutterstock (I put my e-mail in my profile description).
I don't do any other marketing, no website or FB or insta just a twitter account for doing automated tweets whenever I had work accepted. Some customers also contacted me through that.
Hi, how did you manage to connect twitter for automated tweets? Can't find it in the profile. Thanks!
It doesn't work anymore. There used to be this option on SS to set up automated tweets or fB posts, for accepted images, or sales. I think it stopped working a couple of years ago.
More like six years ago! https://forums.submit.shutterstock.com/topic/74782-shuttertweet-and-facebook-connect/?do=findComment&comment=1441351

Got a payout last October and then manually deleted my (mainly editorial) 2400 images before asking them to close my account. Commission cuts, low sales and images pending review forever made them not worth the bother. Shame, a few years back they were a decent selling, fair paying, mid tier agency which I was happy to support.

It's a partner deal with Canstock. You get commission on print and product sales or a 25c subscription sale for the 10x8 free prints that FreeArt offers. Here is the thread from when it was first announced http://www.microstockgroup.com/canstockphoto-com/exciting-announcement/ . Anyone that has no intention of selling direct through an art site like FineArt America may welcome the extra (potential) sales. Otherwise you can ask to be opted out of the deal (I did and they did it promptly). Regards, David.

https://www.shutterstock.com/license From what I understand from here it requires an enhanced image license.
It certainly looks like an Enhanced license is required but see the retail price of the T Shirts - $10 or $12 or so. That certainly doesn't allow for paying for the license and the production costs of the T shirts themselves yet alone a profit margin. Perhaps someone who has their designs being used should contact Shutterstock for clarification. Regards, David.

Just did mine yesterday so it is still fresh in my mind. When you go into the Tax Interview it gives you a list (country by country) of what number to use if you are not based in the USA. For example, here in the UK, you put in your National Insurance Number. Suggest you go back in and see what is listed for Canada and then use that. Hope that helps! Regards, David. On a side note I also did my Adobe one yesterday and was impressed that the moment I hit Submit, I got an email back saying my form was validated

Any sense when the royalty info will be out? Still can't access it!
Don't expect anything before Monday. None of these 24 hour, Seven days a week hi-tech companies seem to do anything much at the Weekend other than to run on auto pilot. Today Is 24?

Contributor site back up in the UK. Tried uploading a single file but it vanished into "your file is being processed". Obviously not fully back to normal yet

Asked and answered on their own forum -you get paid for the free downloads as normal. It is their promotion at their expense.

Deleted my pending editorials which had been sitting there since December. I stopped uploading anyway after their latest commission cuts and I'm just waiting for $5 to reach payout then it's goodbye 123rf. There clearly is no "good news for contributors" coming as they stated.
On a related note (which nobody has mentioned I think) their sister company - macro agency Inmagine has closed down as a separate site with buyers being re-directed to the Evo (premium) collection at 123rf. This might be another reason for low sales as Inmagine had a Value RF section populated with 123rf images. I have no idea how many sales came through that but it must have an effect - not all Inmagine buyers would just automatically start buying through 123 instead. Whether this move was cost cutting or streamlining is open to speculation.

Also, after I fill in the keywords (cut and paste from notepad, words separated by commas) the words don't appear as separate blocks with stars and askerisks on each side
This. Where are your keywords that you pasted in? Are they still in the narrow box labelled "add new tags" ? As Noodle said you then need to click the + sign at the right hand side of that box. Your keywords will now move below that box and be in seperate blocks. Until you've done that you haven't added your keywords and the image won't go on sale. If you think of any additional keywords type them directly into the "add new tags" box and click the + sign again. Best of luck with Alamy! Regards, David.
Correction you just need to type the words separated by a comma and hit enter.
If you are using a keyboard of course
Thanks Sammy, I didn't know that!

It's the logo for Imagine China a major photo agency which handles images for a host of other agencies. Google it and you will get a list of some of them (though I didn't see any micro sites listed). Hope that helps.

Steve - the Yay Images site is just for buyers. You can still log in and access all your contributor information/sales reports at the old Yay Micro site and that is also where contributors upload to (should they be so inclined). I just emailed them the other day asking them to close my account (no response so far) but in any case I have opted out of all "partner" sites including Yay Images (if that makes sense) so I have nothing for sale with them now. Shame, they were a good little agency at one point (pre 2013) and always very responsive to any queries I had. Hope that helps! Regards, David.

Here's a thread that covers this. Just contact Canstock support if you want to opt out of this (I did because I already sell on POD sites). They replied very quickly and confirmed my opt out. BTW opting out of this doesn't affect their other partner sites. http://www.microstockgroup.com/canstockphoto-com/exciting-announcement/

Checkout this thread http://www.microstockgroup.com/canstockphoto-com/exciting-announcement/ . When it was announced they offered an individual opt out (for just this partner site) and hopefully still do. Those of us selling on POD sites like Redbubble and FineArt America are, obviously, not interested in getting 25c for a print sale and opted out.

I wouldn't worry about it. It is just an automated measure of how many keywords you have used compared to the maximum allowed of 50. If your keywords are accurate and appropriate for your image that's fine - don't start adding on irrelevant stuff just to change that Poor Discoverability tag. My whole port there is "Poor" but show up fine on keyword searches - try it for yourself with your own images.

Don't know if this is still the case but when it launched they offered an opt out from the Free Art site (without effecting opt in to other CS partners such as Fotosearch). I sent them a support ticket and was opted out within a couple of hours. In my case I sell direct on POD sites like FAA and Redbubble so it wasn't an attractive deal for me. I guess if you've no intention of ever selling direct on art sites you could see it as a bit of extra income. More information from when it launched here http://www.microstockgroup.com/canstockphoto-com/exciting-announcement/

Top left of the ESP submission page is a box that says Istock creative submission (or something like that). There's a drop down on that to change it to Istock Editorial.
When I'm logged into ESP, there's no drop down option on the iStock Creative Image tab.
Well it IS there so you may have a browser issue. I'm using Google Chrome and can toggle between Creative and Editorial. Try from a different browser. Good luck!

Getty Connect income isn't for "sales" of images. It's a share of advertising income from ads appearing where somebody (blog etc) has been allowed to embed your image from Getty. Their argument is that these embedded images only go to uses where somebody wouldn't normally have purchased a license for images and, therefore, is extra monetisation for your work. Just Google "Getty Connect for contributors" and you should get the full info. It's a bit like someone coming to my blog and clicking on one of the Google ads there -I get a penny or so per click.

In the "My Content box" on the home page click "upload and review content", then click the green button "+new submission", it will generate and show you a new tab titled "Submission batch istock creative image" with "upload files" in it, drag them on there or click the + and you can upload away
I still can't work out how to mark submitted images as editorial.
Top left of the ESP submission page is a box that says Istock creative submission (or something like that). There's a drop down on that to change it to Istock Editorial. BTW they have recently posted that editorial submissions no longer have to an exact format for captions. You just have to have all the relevant information in your caption (e.g. Who/What/Where/When etc).

Thank you for the explanation, but, been that I can't see my portfolio on ESP, if I upload new images, where do they go? This was my concern...
Your portfolio remains where it always was on Istockphoto.com (which is now the site for buyers). Think of ESP as an upload and account management platform. To see your portfolio click on Account Management (top right) on ESP and scroll down to Portfolio where you will find a link to our port.
