GLStock / Re: GLStock is not paying!
« on: February 03, 2021, 05:42 »
I had the same problem last year. It took literally months to get them to pay up after loads of emails only some of which they bothered responding to. Best of luck, I hope you can get them to pay!

P.S. Good to see you on the forum. Hope business/ life is going well!

Oh they will pay! :) It's just I wanted everyone to know that it's not business as usual over there.

P.S. Thanks! Life is as good as it can be with a very active toddler ;)  Business outside microstock is ok, while earnings on all sites keep going down.. Hope things are well for you too. I haven't been able to spend time on these boards as I used to.

GLStock / GLStock is not paying!
« on: February 01, 2021, 08:07 »
I have got $57 in my balance and requested payment in the beginning of January..

Now almost a month later, they still haven't processed that payment.

Anyone else having issues with their payouts?

StockFresh / Re: StockFresh is closing
« on: September 27, 2020, 02:16 »
One additional wrinkle in this story.  I just sent SF the following message:

Quote
I attempted to request payment of royalties on my account.  You now require a Certificate of Residency.  As a US resident, the cost of such a certificate is $85, which coincidentally is the amount of money owed to me.  Additionally, processing of the certificate and mailing it will likely take longer than you plan to be in business.  Is there any less onerous way to demonstrate my citizenship/residency that will satisfy your requirements?

Thank you for your attention.

you don't need to make it as complicated for yourself.. just a utility bill will do..

DepositPhotos / Re: Deposit Photos
« on: May 23, 2020, 04:46 »
For me. DP is turning into one of the best sites, After Adobe and SS. a strong #3. Very proud of them.

glad to see you are trying to recruit new competitors for yourself...

do this more often and it won't be long before deposit photos turns into crestock for you..

iStockPhoto.com / Re: iStock Login Issues?
« on: January 13, 2020, 19:52 »
I'm into the iStock esp site, not sure if that's different, although it says Getty Images.
(The dls ytd are up at last!)

Mind you, I don't log out from there, so maybe it would be different if I'd logged out, or been logged out. Nope, I logged out and logged in again and it was fine.
Hope you get sorted soon.

thanks for your input  ;) yes istock esp..

very weird thing is now that I tried, I could actually login on my mobile phone, but I still can't on desktop version of chrome.

iStockPhoto.com / iStock Login Issues?

I am not able to login to getty esp site even though I haven't forgotten or changed my password..

anyone else having login issues on getty esp site?

I too am still using the original version.

Last time I updated was a few months ago and it still works well.. (I am not on the latest version of WordPress yet)

As Jo Ann pointed out, it's not the WordPress version that breaks it; it is php 7 or later php versions. When I switch to php 5.x, it is business as usual.

The problem with this is when you search for a raster illustration vectors don't come up in the search results, even though they should, as they all have raster versions available.

It's not spamming if contributors want to be included in raster illustration category.

VideoBlocks / Re: Storyblocks Member Library Populated by Thieves
« on: September 10, 2019, 05:19 »
If they refuse to take it down, simply publish it on social media, if people find out that the Storyblocks unlimited membership library features stolen content, it will be bad for their business. I'd be happy to share/retweet it.

Thanks. Oh I know they will take it down.. I just want it to be an example here for a while.

the bad thing is: the thief's profile is hidden so it is not easy to look for other stolen images.

It's not enough if they take these down.. after they remove the image, agencies usually leave the uploader alone and that's why they keep uploading them whenever and wherever they can.. It's better advertised here for a while..

VideoBlocks / Storyblocks Member Library Populated by Thieves
« on: September 10, 2019, 04:55 »
This is my original which I have drawn in 2008:
http://www.cidepix.com/image/various-colorful-abstract-icons-and-logo-shapes/

and these are the screwed up versions uploaded to storyblocks member library:
https://www.storyblocks.com/stock-image/logo-set-h1jg3rv4qobj6glvc0d
https://www.storyblocks.com/stock-image/logo-set-skabvn7d-j6glvc36

after all; "when you are a thief, you don't mind how bad the deal is: you prefer a few cents rather than nothing, and storyblocks' member library seems like a good idea to you!"

I remember this thief because I had sent take down notices for these images before and they were removed from other places, but I guess he(?) will keep uploading them as long as the agencies let him do it..

Haven't posted here for a long time..

I just wanted to come here to say that "I am also suspending my uploads to shutterstock"

This is beyond ridiculous

PhotoDune / Re: Anyone unworthy of Photodune yet?
« on: February 07, 2017, 15:52 »
I am out too..

but I knew it since the original announcement as they had already said that there would be no illustrations..

it's going to be a "photos only" marketplace..

Leo, you should send those to graphicriver or 3docean.. they sell much better than photodune anyway    :)

38
btw I got the same email "again"!

this time with the unique link which asks you to create a new password..

I just used my existing password instead of creating a new one and it worked..

so you "don't have to" create a new one..

39
I did not get an email notice, and am unable to get into ESP. Very frustrating.

don't worry.. there is nothing to see yet..

40
just received the email..

it says "follow your unique link" but there is no link to follow :)

Could it be because I had already signed in without waiting for my email a few days ago using my iStock email and password?

I just sent an email to support asking about it..

I had an email this morning with the "...sorry for the delay" intro and no unique link. I haven't written to support (came here to see if I was alone in this hiccup or not). I filled out the support form found at the contact us if you can't sign in link and the text they display after you submit that is:

"Your message has been sent to our contributor support team.
Our aim is to provide a response within 2 business days."

I sincerely hope that customers get a better response time than 2 days. And if customers do, why not contributors...

I saw that too..

I will consider myself lucky if I get a response within that time frame..

remember how they were supposed to send out ESP credentials by Feb 3  :D

Selling Stock Direct / Re: Best platform to sell direct?

legacy symbiostock by leo is great and I am still using it..

It's not about the script if you are not having sales.. it's always about the content..

and obviously there is no script on this earth that will do your marketing for you..

Yep, that's the standard answer.  ;)

Which is true :)

The script is working perfectly fine.. anyone who goes to my website can make a purchase right away..

You can try it.. it works ;)

General - Stock Video / Re: Videoblocks slowdown
« on: April 14, 2016, 08:29 »
no..

it's because you all came here to brag about your sales and people who weren't even aware of videoblocks learned about that site which automatically created competition for you..

everybody wants a piece of the pie.. once people hear it's a good site, they will flood that site with their own content..

if you are having great sales on a given site, the most important way to maintain your sales is;

to "not announce that site on public forums"  :D

45
"dreamstime, the world's largest community in stock photography"

What's the point of blatantly lying? Having fun announcing their dishonesty?

46
I think they want you to change your password from time to time and not use the same password for too long.

I had to reset my password too, but what you are saying can not be the reason, because I had changed my password recently and it was only a couple weeks old when I had this problem a few days back..

now I can't use that password again thanks to skrill screwing up something..  (they probably had a security issue..)

Off Topic / Re: OMG America!!!
« on: March 24, 2016, 21:39 »
the only way to prove American people are not dumb is to elect Bernie..

he is once in a lifetime opportunity.. Hillary is worse than trump.. at least trump is not pretending to be a "democrat"  :D

48
There used to be one for istock with over 30 000 members, but I think it was closed.

This is nothing like that.. istock list had sales data, thus was more interesting.. this is just about the number of images people have..

So reading this thread, three possibilities:

  • They got tired of being harassed by others,
  • They got tired of harassing others.
  • They died.

or,

they just have better things to do..  :D

things that actually pay the bills..

50
I was going to start a new thread but then I saw this one..

Could you guys, video masters, answer a quick question for me?..

Let me elaborate first.. I am a vector artist, (as some of you may know) but I am creating some animated footage right now.. I am NOT looking to mass submit my animated videos to as many agencies as possible.. that's stretching it way too much, for my current workflow.. as long as I cover %85-%90 of potential earnings, I am fine.. I won't bother with the small agencies and the extra %10-%15 earnings they can bring.. here is the question..

does submitting to only pond5 and SS cover %85-%90 of the market? or do I need to add 1 or 2 sites more? and if yes, which should the third and/or fourth site be?

That's all I am interested in knowing.. Thanks in advance for your kind help!..
