Thank you, I will test it

Great picture!

If you search for 'globe buildings' at IS and others you could find similar conceptual works, so I think you should have no problem submitting it. And I think yours is more appealing.

I have the same questions than you about Alamy and starting with RM, so thanks all of you writers, your arguments and suggestions are very useful to newbies like me.

No words about my problem with Veer FTP only upload exposed several days ago.

I have had also problem uploading to GLO, CanStock, I can't upload to 123RF because size, but I can upload them with the same size through the 123RF site.

Help in cirilic alphabet doesn't help very much.

Working with categories a) takes a lot of time specifying my preferencies or b) produces some mistakes tranforming for exemple arts (dancing in my case) into art objects.

Model release already existing produces duplicates in agencies, and this is a hard problem with some of them as Dreamstime (it can produce rejections and we couldn't change or delete them).

As others have said, I can't change country and language in Fotolia.

I think I will wait this testing period before start paying, and new software is appearing that I can test as well.

I also enjoy with postedition, but in the last months I have worked the pics less and less, and my approved files were increasing. Many buyers want to edit the photos their way, so we have to correct minimal issues, that's all. I don't like very much the result, too fade, too homogeneous for me...
Nevertheless I see sometimes very photoshoped images with a lot of sales, or chosen by editors, so it seems there is no absolut rules.

Hi!
I have just downloaded the stock submitter today, and I'm setting the agencies accounts. At this moment I only want to upload files, not to submit them.
I have had a problem with Veer FTP, every time I try to check the not submit button an error occurs and the program have to exit.

I'm in the same than you, I'm new in micro since a few months ago, I have had a little sales, but a ridiculous amount per month (I know I need a strongly bigger portfolio), and I have the same problem than you with SS, it's impossible for me, I need to have 7/10 accepted images and I always have 5 or 6.

So, compare you with other newbies like me, I use to do that, and I see I go better that the most of them (but nothing to do with vector artist, that is another world).

I think like others your portfolio is very attractive, and sure you will match the micro style little by little (I'm working in it, but I have to do much better).

I also think like others that several of your pictures are too much filtered (but if DT have accepted them is because they think they can be sold), and that way makes more difficult to sale them. Think it's better for you working less a picture, less work and more possibilities.

And for the suggestion of doing collections and caring the tittles/keywording, I am working in it too, and I think it'is very important. Have you tried Picniche, prostockmaster or other keywording tools?

Veer / Re: Does VEER actually sell for any of you?
« on: November 24, 2010, 20:58 »
I'm new there (and in microstock...), I have a portfolio since september, actually I have only 15 accepted images (not for a bad ratio of acceptances, but for the incredible long time they spend in evaluation), and in this time I have had 5 sales ($10 total).

General Stock Discussion / Re: Isolations and more isolations!

The way of epantha is the way I use, but I use a large sheet of white paper instead of the white board, but if you can I could be better to use the white board. And of course, the tripod. As she says, getting a pure white with PS is very simple most times.

I think like lisafx and donding, if you can do it with a white background in studio, it works perfectly. If not, forget it; as you all say, it's too much work for those rejections or minimum gains, I have a few pics isolated in different ways in PS, all of them from my beginnings. Now I produce the white background while shootong or I upload the photo in context. I don't want to waste my time stupidly.

Well I'm one of those stupid guys selling raw files on DT, thinking on doubling maximum size price and attracting buyers, and I confess I only have sold two or three of them, and all under subscription. So I'm going to delete all of them, because the gain doesn't worth, and if I lose one subscription sale, I don't really matter.
Learning from errors...
