Would be nice to share our experience of selling pics through Facebook. I've started to do that recently and I've to say that the results are not bad.

I've created the following page Millionstock.com http://www.facebook.com/pages/Millionstockcom/683469791696645?ref=bookmarks

and my profile is
https://www.facebook.com/millionstock.photostore

Newbie Discussion / Re: What are realistic expectations?
« on: June 04, 2015, 18:44 »
Now that the RF stock business has been saturated, I would say a reasonable earning with 5.000 travel images will be 100$ per month, not more. If the quality is medium/low I would say a lower ammount. There is too much competition!

Try with a self hosted site. Probably there you will earn something more

33
NICE tutorial :-)
Good luck!

Symbiostock / Re: People Still Using SymbioStock?
« on: February 02, 2015, 06:53 »
I'm also very happy with my site www.millionstock.com

Sales come especially from contacts collected in the last years, people that knows my way of shooting. Some sales from SEO.
I would say definitively that you have to have a self hosted site to drive sales through an ecommerce platform

36
Thanks for the illuminating and nice analisys chromaco :-)

My advice is to use the Wordpress add-on called Symbiostock. The result is a nice gallery and ecommerce site with your portfolio.
I've used this solution, and I'm very satisfied. Check out the result at www.millionstock.com
Cheers!

General Stock Discussion / Re: Travel photography Sales

To increase sales on my self hosted site (most of them are travel pics) I'm developing some mobile Travel Guides for smartphones with my pics.
See the first one at www.millionstock.com/rome.htm
In general my advice is to add some interesting material on your site.
Cheers

For older submissions I think that the best solution is to cancel the old upload and to resubmit the picture

42
Does anyone have any feedback on the usefulness of Google Adwords to the promote the site? It is worth the investment?
Thanks!

You are right rimglow...that's the magic question :-)

Selling Stock Direct / Re: Average Sale Price Selling Direct?
« on: October 21, 2014, 08:14 »
I've decided to stay a little bit lower the average price (www.millionstock.com)
Are you satisfied with your sales?

45
I would say that the best way to promote your portfolio is to build a self hosted site with a link to all your agency portfolios.
Have a look to the model I have implemented on my site www.millionstock.com
Have a nice time! Alex

How are going you sales on Symbiostock in 2014?
Do you think that the registration procedure is an obstacle to sales?

Selling Stock Direct / Re: Self-Hosted at 14.6 - top 5
« on: October 27, 2013, 08:07 »
The 3th place reflects more or less my situation  :)
My SYS site is growing during the last weeks and therefore I've stopped to upload to all sites exept my SYS site.
I prefer to sell 1 pic at 5 USD and receive all the money (total revenue=5 USD) instead of selling 10 pics at 1 USD and receive more or less 0,33 USD each (total revenue=3,3 USD); I find the first way more motivating and respectfull of my creativity.
My motivation to stay in the Microstock market has increased with the launch of m self-hosted site :-)
In the following weeks I want to concentrate my efforts in attracting more buyers to my site....
