We can't forget that Istock is the most ethical company on the planet either. They would never enter into an agreement with you and then reduce your royalties. And they would never enter into an agreement with you to sell your art on their site and then drop the price and sell as subscription elsewhere.

Whenever I buy bundles the lightroom presets and photos that are included are total crap and I think they stuff the bundles full of this so it looks like are really good deal (although this is a photography bundles so maybe they are actually good). The regular design tools and fonts are a steal.
Stocksy might be testing the waters on CM to see if it is worth offering bundles on their own site?

I think some people put a dislike as a "ya I dislike that too" not "you said something I don't like".

After working with new upload system. It's all good. I hate change...LOL especially after so many years. I would prefer 20 Images instead of 10 On the web Uploader.
Just highlighting this, fully agree.

For my own content, no other site has categories as useless as Bigstock.

And I bet that the demand for "arterial blood gas" is so high, buyers are going to be really missing those 8 images.
That's not entirely the point... his/her whole collection of medical images is gone. Even knowing how to properly name and label a shot of an arterial blood gas legitimizes the agency. Were his/hers the best? What are they left with? Knowing nothing I would label it something like blood analyzing unit and the buyer would be looking for something a bit more specific.

Mat, thank you for the personal response to my query on the FT site. I have several reasons to have mistrust Fotolia, but am overjoyed that you are now full time contributor relations - in you I have the utmost respect and faith! Regards

I have not received a response to my site mail, but I did receive a response to my Facebook post and also sincere apologies
In the real world, if one business did this to another, a company the size of Adobe would issue a statement to the owners of the mismanaged content (craftily worded by their legal team). Let's see if they just brush this under the carpet, after all who are we? Just stupid nobodies with no voice and individually no significance.

I wish I could say how I really feel but Leaf would ban me.
Smells like a class action lawsuit to me.

Deal Jumbo and Creative Market. They send a LOT of e-mails with bundles. I've used a few of the fonts, but will never be able to use 70-80% of what I get.

Try to go through some old Veer posts, there is a MSG Member by the name of Grant who is very helpful. You can send him a PM through MSG, not sure if he'll get it, but pretty confident if he does he will respond.

Mixed feelings. Yes, INSANELY low. But I'm such a sucker... every time they advertise they have a new bundle I have to buy it. If I love one font in the bundle I figure it's totally worth it, it's usually not much more than one font with 20 more thrown in. Trust me, I would never just go buy fonts and lightroom presets. They likely do very well. Likely very worth it for the artist.

Adobe payments seem to come a lot faster than Fotolia payments don't they? My last one was in about 3 days and Fotolia often left me hanging 3 weeks!

Christian I haven't seen you here in a while! I think you went exclusive with Istock? If you can believe it I was just speaking about your work last week when at a resort in Cancun. I was at a wedding with all these beautiful young people. I asked the bride if she thought her striking bridesmaid might model for a few shots on the beach. There were 38 in our group and by the next day I think everyone had asked about stock photography. I brought up your beautiful beach photos and your lovely wife in the white bathing suit and broad rimmed hat, and although we never see her face, she is in perfect zen mode and makes me want to jump on a plane! THEN I went back to my room and opened a drawer - I'm sure it was her on the front of the tourist guide sitting there. Hope all is well with you. Enjoyed your facebook page!

I subscribe to several news publications, and last week I noticed that I didn't have any feeds from friends. On Wednesday I was in my hotel and for 2 hours read facebook and not one single post from a friend or colleague! I needed to catch up on the news but would have been nice to know what was happening at home too. I think I will open up a separate account for news.

When I was a kid in the 70s, I used to cut out pictures of my favorite fish from Field and Stream to hang on the walls, it was art to me then.
I think history is full of examples of artists that over time came to be appreciated for creating something amazing and timeless. Should by chance years after my death one of my brake disc images make it into an art auction, so be it.
Flashback! And Western Horseman LOL

Someone used the words Veer and Sales in the same sentence? Interesting.
I agree about the keywords. When they remove the keywords figure skater from a photo of a figure skater on ice skates in a pretty sequined competition dress there is something amis.

I thought somewhere Robin stated that announcements would be made here but all communication should be done on the Sy forum? (Or am I confused with the other plugin?)

I really don't know why Leo didn't just polish it up, make it useful to photographers in addition to stock photographers and sell it on themeforest. I think he would have made a killing.

Maybe the brains there noticed the 80 mil that SS paid out and think hmmmmm how can I make a little something off this stock photography thing.... Then they will come to this forum and make a big announcement and we will rip them to shreds.

I use sequence - original file name - a bit of description
1927_DSC_123_SpottedHorse
Then I store them in small folders labelled 1900-1999
May not be perfect, but they are stored in order, in manageable working folder sizes. Everything is in order by upload.
Might not work for someone who uploads hundreds every month. I haven't done a stock shoot since last April!
