I can see where it would be important to do so. I don't do locations shoots like landscapes (I wish I could but I have focus limitations in that area) but I have photographed wild life and some of them don't have a location so I'll fix that once I get to them. The last things I uploaded were vectors that I'm slowly getting through.
I still have 450 or so more images to upload but at least those will get the SEO done at the time. I already have the people physically around me doubting that this is going to work...and I would really like to shut them up.

It just dawned on me that I was talking about the image description not the meta description in Yoast. But I'm sure it could apply to both though.
Thanks.

Linux is required if you want to run Image Magick as the image processor. I also don't know if you'll have any problems running a Linux site if your OS is Windows. I had the same question the other day but no idea on the answer. I also haven't had a chance to call them myself. Back to school has been keeping me occupied.
I do hope you get it all straightened out and up and running soon.

This isn't that easy. I don't want long descriptions which isn't easy for illustrations because I really don't want to influence what the buyers would use the image for.
And for those of you that also purchase images do you read the descriptions at all and does that influence whether or not you purchase that particular image?

I've gotten 20 out of 550 done. They're all yellow and I'm okay with that. None of them will probably go green I just can't get that wordy. 3,506 urls submitted of which 349 were indexed. That'll take some time to get finished. I guess we just keep plugging away

Working on it but when my site goes down (I probably have a very noisy neighbor) makes it a bit difficult. This late at night normally I can work without any interruptions. My graph is a flat red line hopefully it'll start looking mountainous in a few weeks

Thanks I've got it now...though it's extremely fussy.

You've got nearly 3 times the amount I have to deal with. I have 550 and the rest of my images are things like font sets and I'll deal with those once I deal with this.
A meta description is just a description of the image correct?

Thanks I'll add them all.
It's on the edit image area no wonder I couldn't find it. I was looking for that information on the actual image page.
This ought to be fun to deal with.

Just got started with the plugin (completely lost but what else is new). Looking at the list where the sitemaps are it generated 9 of them.
Would I use the image site map or a different one or all of them?
I'm also not seeing red or green anything so I have absolutely no idea how to use this thing.

Tried to do a test purchase on an image (I took it offline until I can figure this out) I set all the price values to $0.00 I went to go purchase it to see if that would work for me to test and a paypal page came up stating that there's something wrong with the sellers email address.
I swear it was working fine the other day now I can't figure out what happened.
Anyone with insight please let me know.

I found a setting in the CSS file that added padding around at 50px. I'm taking it down and it's changing the size of the image on the image page. It's making it bigger preview. Not sure if I can get it down to where the preview is the original size or not but it's getting there.

I was looking around on the Go Daddy site and it's available on their Linux Hosting. Course I no absolutely nothing about Linux does that mean (and bear with me cause I'm going to feel like an idiot asking) that their hosting is Linux based (it can be selected during signup not sure if it would be changeable afterward) and will I have problems working on my site with a Windows OS?

I have my domain hosted with Go Daddy wonder which of their packages offers the use of Image Magick.
I also need a monthly plan like pay a few months at a time as I can't do a yearly package at this point in time.

Well this is cute. I put in a support ticket and this is what I got back. ImageMagick is not provided on premium service, for this to be installed a VPS server is needed or a dedicated server The image processor doesn't mess with the original files that buyers would download? Those would remain intact how they were originally created?

I did that and even changed php versions but still not working.
Looking at the php pear packages it's not available. So I'm not sure what gives.

I was going to activate and start Yoast today. There's always sumthin isn't there?
I do have access to my php.ini file. Does it matter where I put this code in there?
extension=imagick.so
Or does it need to go into a specific place? Also my site is currently running PHP 5.4

Shoot. I'll have to hunt it down on my server. That'll be fun reprocessing 550 images.

Okay will do. Should've mentioned that I really need glasses as well Thanks. I like chemistry as well but never pursued it which is a pity. I love science.
