It's really too bad that FAA is making itself like Zazzle. It worked really well before.

Print on Demand Forum / Re: I wonder how much per month top artists on Fine Art America makes.« on: March 26, 2018, 11:56 »
I did reasonably well in the first few years. In some lucky days, I could even make over $1000 in a single day. Usually I had sales every month.
However, since it became pixel.com and started to carry products, my sales have gone downhill. Last year, I only made 3 sales. This year, none so far. I hope it could focus on the fine art side of the business because it was its strength, and not get distracted by products which have not likely been sold in big volume as its owner had hoped, I suspect. 253

StockNumbers, how many clips do you have now?

Increasing, what you are saying is interesting.
For me, SS has surpassed P5 by selling many times more in the past few months. Even though my P5 port has a few hundred more clips because I have contributed longer. Also SS has a tendency to reject night clips by claiming excessive noise. These clips are often accepted by a reviewer. Sometimes I resubmit but more often I just forget and move on. 255

I sure need more clips.
But if the best match does not change, only those with historical good sales are seen. The new ones will most likely be buried. It may affect you too. 256
General Stock Discussion / Re: When best match does not change....« on: February 23, 2018, 23:28 »You're toying with deleting your best selling clip? Erm, yeah... makes sense. It doesn't sell anymore because the landscape has changed. Haven't sold any in at least about 2 years. 257
General Stock Discussion / When best match does not change....« on: February 23, 2018, 18:01 »
Is it only me?
When the best match does not change for a long time, and your most downloaded files are always on the top, it can be a blessing or a curse. Unfortunately for me, the most downloaded clip has a very specific location, and the landscape has since changed. I wonder if it explains my slow sales at P5. I am toying with the idea to have this clip deleted. What do you think? 258

I also sold one clip for over $100, but not from P5.
The review team is great and very fast, but only one sale for nearly a month. ![]() ![]() Must be something wrong with me. 260

I use VideoMach, it's not free. No problem with 4K, importing or exporting. However, I don't upload video to Getty.

Why is there an assumption PC cannot do ProRes? All my clips are ProRes and processed in a PC.
You just have to shop for the right software. 262
Pond5 / Re: Something is wrong on pond5 sales since September 2017« on: February 10, 2018, 17:09 »January and february 2018 update on my account: shutterstock sales in these 2 months - 27 sales and a lot of days till the end of february (more than 1.000 usd). Pond5 sales in these 2 months ...6 sales (less than 180 usd). Is there any reliable explanation? I share your pain. I feel the same. If you don't get many sales with a large portfolio, guess I have to feel lucky that I get sales at all. 263

Hi Franky,
Thanks again for getting back to me. I should mention the login error has gone. I am mostly interested in seeing how the keyword section works. Now you metioned sync, I am checking again. My last sale was on Dec 31, 2017. Does it mean that the sync is working? The version is 3.7.9. 265

Did you shoot at the location? Is there a video showing you in action? 266

I have updated the software. The result is the same. There is no value in the columns. 267

Wonder how I should use DM's keyword section.
When I am in the keyword page, the sub tabs including DL, Last DL, $, ... and so one, only shows 0, or 0.00%. I am sure it was my mistake. What is the correct way to use the feature? My second questions is, even though I was able to upload, DM show "Error: could not log in to Account Management. Check your credential..." What does it mean? What am I supposed to do? Thanks. 269

Software - General / Re: Sony app requires my birthday for registration, how do you feel?« on: January 19, 2018, 16:44 »
According to Sony's Privacy Policy website, birthday is not a requirement: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/legal/privacy-policy/
Sony's support really is not very useful, and the employees and supervisor won't provide any more contact info such as their legal department or people at higher level. This policy actually prevents some customers, such as moi, to buy their apps. 273
Software - General / Sony app requires my birthday for registration, how do you feel?« on: January 19, 2018, 16:00 »
I don't understand why Sony Playmemories requires my birthday to buy an app. My camera is registered, and I can pay with a credit card.
Does it bother anyone else? 274
Pond5 / Re: Something is wrong on pond5 sales since September 2017« on: January 17, 2018, 13:40 »
My sales are not that great either. It does seem to decline, even though I have made a lot of efforts to increase my port to over 1000. I only got about 2 sales in Nov and one in Dec., and has got none for January 2018.
