Looking for support at MSG with this story sounds to me like coming to police station saying: "I raped my neighbour's wife a few times and - believe it or not - my neighbour slapped my face and he doesn't want to give me my lawn mower back."

Yet it is not easy to kill a troll. One story goes that if a troll comes to eat you, you must offer to feed him a lot of food first. Then, when the troll isn't looking, you put a backpack on your stomach. When you sit down to eat, you take a knife and cut a hole in the backback and shovel food into it. Tell the troll that he would be able to get food to his stomach faster if he cuts a hole in it like you did. That will be the end of that troll! Source: Wikipedia?

I've never heard of any any other virus except mentioned Trojan (plus some rumours about viruses on Macs with installed Windows). I have VirusBarrier (free version) installed - it scans computer for hours but never found any problem.

To be fair - Fotolia pays to contributors still same amount regardless of credit package that buyers bought (it's less than promised with small packages but it's for example 37.77% - instead of "bronze" 23% - with 7000 credit package with payout in EUR). DT's maths scares me more.
come on! who gets 7k credits?
You're right, not many bloggers I guess. But I'm glad that I don't have any 0,08 sales on FT.

I've bought HP ZR24W LED display about a year ago. It's much better than my previous LCD screen from LG LCD. Black is much "blacker" but still plenty details in shadows, I don't have to look at display in right angle, no darker corners, much better visibility in daylight. I did all the tests available and it's almost as good as Mac Display for fraction of price. Some reviewers say black isn't that great but when I reduce brightness I can hardly imagine it could be significantly better. But I didn't compare it to Eizo displays.
Is your HP a $500 monitor? If so, I can't afford that and probably have to deal with the light leaks and whatnot, but thanks for the info!
You might try smaller HP ZR2240w. It's from 227 USD at Amazon. Not that good but still great value for money.

I don't use them because I can't be sure that the site that distributes these brushes and shapes is really allowed to do it. Original creator of these brushes might be somebody else. There are too many thieves in this business.

They made you shoot people?
Well, I guess that's one way of eliminating the competition.
No. They made me shoot reviewers. :-)

I would say - forget pills or mugs. iStock doesn't necessarily need new contributors. You have to come up either with some new fresh idea (as Difydave wrote - showing some sort of "story" would help) or your copy of what you see on iS must be better than perfect. You can't make perfect studio shots with 60 watt bulb. Many of images that you can see on iS wouldn't be approved these days and for initial review they must be even better.
AND... When I sent three still-life images for initial review year or two ago - I was rejected although each of images was in fact accepted. These images were not similar at all - different objects, different lightning, different settings but iS said - well done but we want to see variety of your work. In fact they made me shoot people to be accepted.

This works well at PantherMedia by checking "isolated objects" box. Unfortunately contributors have to check "isolated" box when they submit image. It also works (but not that well) at ThinkStock by checking "white background only".

Klamar is not Czech photographer as mentioned in article. He is Slovak. And "Klamar" in Slovak means "liar"

I make monthly few dollars on referrals. I just post from time to time some of my referral links to FB. I wouldn't spend my time on writing blog or web because of it. I think that most of newbies are crazed by all these "get rich fast blogs". They click on your link, register, submit few images and when they find out that they will not become microstock billionaires within one month they start to look around for another way how to make money without working. IMO Luis is right - if you want some money that worth mentioning - focus on buyers.

I took a brief look at Mark Stout's photographs. It seems that he had problems with initial application to iStock and Shutterstock :-) It's just another of many articles of below-average photographer who's looking for someone to blame for his own lack of success.

I think that almost everyone sells EL. There are months when ELs make about 20% of my income. At Shutterstock you can allow Enhanced License in "Resources" - "Your Account", at Dreamstime by checking "Web Usage" and "Print Usage" boxes when you submit image (or edit image afterwards). I'm not sure about iStock but I think that there is no possibility NOT to sell EL.

It differs from agency to agency. You have to read instructions of particular site carefully. Shutterstock has some restrictions regarding print on demand ("Restrictions: Use or display any Image on websites or in connection with any service designed to sell or induce sales of "print on demand" products using or incorporating Image(s), including, by way of example only, postcards, mugs, t-shirts, posters, giclee prints, wallpaper, artwork and other items.") On the other hand for example GraphicLeftOvers offers Merchandise License (up to 10000 copies) for 45 USD.

They're going to become first agency with 50 million images online (and downloads per image 0.000000001). Positive is that thanks to this app - part of "pin'n'steel" generation could finally find out that every image has its copyright owner and that it is normal to pay for image. Well I'm not naive - most of them won't start to pay for images but at least they will know they should.

Good month, similar to April but 10% less compared to May. Believe it or not - BME both at FT and DT. Very good month at SS and 123 RF. Only 10% at Alamy compared to May. Slow sales on BS - 3% of SS sales (as usually).
