Hi guys, i have a couple of nice 4k footage (mp4) and it's impossible to upload in IS because they ask for an apple codec (Prores 422 Hq)... the problem is that i'm on Windows 10... do you have an idea how i can convert it this specific codec? I can upload my footage on other site, but not on IS...

it's crazy... sometimes, when i had a pics rejeted For nebulous reasons, I upload again and then they are accepted! Not the same staff, not the same criteria ...

Hi, i uploaded, 2 days ago, 5 editorial pics of my visit of the South/North Korea border. SS accepted the pics wih no prob (I even sold 2 photos), but rf rejected all my photos for theses reasons : mage Unsuitable as Stock Photo - Too Offensive - Improper for General Viewing... Pretty ridiculous no?

I read all the posts even though I was not very active in the answers ... I do not usually respond to people who make derogatory comments and do not bring anything good in a discussion. No need to name it ...  But, It allowed me to understand the reality and the fight for professional photographers or those who are more than amateurs (vs stocks vs amateur like me) ...

I also want to add that I did not start with 160 or 300 photos on stock, I uploaded around 20-30 pictures per week (more or less) ... since my debut 2 months ago.


Then, English is not my first language, so excuse me in advance for mistakes!

with such stats i imagine your folio....really I'm still puzzled why agency accept portfolio that clearly are not brilliant...what's the point of adding infinitely portfolio who doesn't add anything to the industry but only manage to "steal" some sales for other contributor?
they want rf to have only amateur? because this is the way industry is going and is reflected by the quality of new submission.

You do not have to be afraid to be robbed if your portifolio is so beautiful! I feel the frustration of a person who does not sell much ... and yes, I'm an amateur photographer, not a professional ... that's why I keep smiling even if I only sell one photo per month, unlike you!

Hi, i have a newb question! Can i upload the same picture 2 times (for SS for example)? 1 for editorial use and one for commercial use? Some of my pics will be good for both (commercial & editorial)...

Hi, i'm new since 2 months, 150 pics on AS/FT and 13 sales total 10$ US. I think it's not bad considering that i have the same number of pics with SS : only 5 sales  total 1,25$.

I didn't say it is inaccurate.
It's official word from iS admins.
Check out their forums, but remember you're not allowed to quote from them or link to them here/anywhere else.
And they've just been reshuffled, so it's difficult to find old threads.

Hi! I'm new in the stock market, my portfolio consists mainly of travel photos.

I registered as a contributor on the following sites :
-Istock (255 pic)
-Dreamstime (255 pic)
-Adobe stock (130 pic)
-Shutterstock (110 pic)
-pond 5 (255 pic)
-123rf (250 pic)

I had sales on Adobe (10 pic) and Shutterstock (4 pic) only...
I noticed that the sites that are the most severe in the analysis of the photos are the ones that pay the most ... in my case, Shutterstock and Adobe. Did you notice that?
