Shutterstock.com / Re: It's nice that Shutterstock is pushing social justice agenda on their blog posts« on: February 23, 2021, 04:03 »The poor and other causes were forgotten. Now it's the idiology of gender, races and that sort of thing. Excuse me but I am 48 years old and I do not adapt to these times, maybe I could be very old. It is something that is fashionable and many companies are doing it. It is to keep up with the times, very cool and fashionable! Todo lo progre esta de moda. Its always about the poor and always has been. The stupid social justice warriors are just to dumb to figure it out. They push their little agendas and just turn it into a circus and the tyranny of minorities. 253

Then open a twitter account (anonymously) and go complain on their twitter account and facebook account.
Shout it to the heavens! This fake social justice bullshitt is just companies trying to show how street they are. Its meaningless and empty gesturing 254

General Stock Discussion / Re: Uber drivers are workers, will this affect the Stock industry?« on: February 20, 2021, 15:10 »If you think a contract is outragous don't sign it. No one is compelled to sign up to an agency no agency requires you to submit a minimum number of pictures or direct you on what to produce and mostly they don't restrict your ability to sell elsewhere. You are not compelled to do anything. Even Jon Oringer was quite blunt about the latest royalty reductions when he stated publicly that anyone who didn't like should just go and take their portfolios with them. 257
General Stock Discussion / Re: Uber drivers are workers, will this affect the Stock industry?« on: February 19, 2021, 11:56 »I hired Shutterstock and Adobe to sell my content and I give them a percentage of every sale. So they work for me. Oh I hope that was a tongue in cheek statement ![]() 258
General Stock Discussion / Re: Uber drivers are workers, will this affect the Stock industry?« on: February 19, 2021, 11:56 »Uber drivers are workers, UK supreme court rules Seeing as most stock agencies are not based in the United Kingdom how on earth do you even begin to think that this ruling would in any way shape or form have an effect on the the stock industry? ![]() Plus what Jo Ann said above which I agree with. 259
Alamy.com / Re: Super keywords?« on: February 17, 2021, 11:03 »
I'm pretty successful on Alamy however unlike dumps like shittystock you do have to be very careful you don't spam keywords, be very accurate with keywords and descriptions also add plurals i.e. dog, dogs, cat, cats.
You should also take the time to complete the optional data. If you get it right the sales do come in. Get it wrong and their system identifies poor keywords by what customers search for and click on as well as buy. So poor keywords mean your images get pushed down the search rankings. Bear in mind what sells on Alamy is totally different to the stuff the microstock sites sell. 260
Shutterstock.com / Re: Attacked because of a keyword - what can he do?« on: February 17, 2021, 06:06 »Glad to hear I did not use officially offending words! The model is from the UK, not American, so I wasn't sure if there were cultural differences on this topic. If he writes again, I'll tell him there's a difference between an incorrect and a racist word, and if he's searching for incorrect keywords at Shutterstock, he'll find billions of them ... There is nothing offensive about using the word afro. Afterall if someone is "afro-caribbean" you use the word "afro" 261
Shutterstock.com / Re: Attacked because of a keyword - what can he do?« on: February 17, 2021, 05:16 »
Braids or plaits also braided, however they can be described as an afro with braids
https://therighthairstyles.com/30-best-black-braided-hairst/ As to your dipshit terminally insulted facebook contact they obviously didn't check shitterstocks latest "afro" offerings as it includes white women/caucasians I would just send him a thank you message and advise them the key words have now been amended. Then block the idiot. 262
Shutterstock.com / Re: Attacked because of a keyword - what can he do?« on: February 17, 2021, 04:59 »
Why are you even worried about this?
Just ignore it and block that dipshit you are just being trolled. However if your model does not have an afro hair style as she has braided hair then I'd remove the keywords as it is misleading. You might want to consider corn rows. And no afro hair style is not offensive. As to shitterstock they won't give a sh-it 263
Shutterstock.com / Re: Banned by Shutterstock?« on: February 15, 2021, 04:11 »I've heard many contributors were banned by Shutterstock last year when they changed the royalty structure. Why were they banned exactly? Did they write bad things about Shutterstock on their forum? Were there another reasons they were banned? If you were banned, let me know what exactly happened. Make up your mind then. One minute you are slating shitterstock on their forum and threatening to pull your portfolio next minute you are making statements like the one above. Do you really think if you moan enough that ss will reinstate the old royalty program? 264

Shutterstock.com / Re: SS sales January« on: February 04, 2021, 10:16 »The fee structure is based on the capitalist system of supply and demand. Nothing to do with fascism. You don't work for Shutterstock and no one is forcing you to contribute. One of the primary definitions of Fascism is nationalism which they are the complete opposite of. They are simply exploitative bosses. For example? The reality is ShutterStock is run as a facist organisation, it doesnt remotely come anywhere near capitalism.Shutterstock is a product of unfettered free market capitalism. It has nothing whatever to do with Fascism as far as I can see. To draw parallels with concentration camps is a bit ridiculous really.
