I am not sure that they give specific image by image comments on the application batch. I think Brian posted somewhere, that of your 10, 7 have to be suitable for their collection in order for your application to be approved.
I know that what he said. At least in my case, I was approved only after 4 images reviewed. The other 6 were still pending.
golden, did you have your SV portfolio transferred? SV ported accounts do not have to go through this application process.
No. I was never at SV.

How to add files into some Gallery...!?
I can't find it in gallery settings....
I can't figure it out either. If anyone finds out how to add images to gallery, please post it here.

I still have a few rolls of Velvia from 4 years ago, when the San Francisco airport security people broke my camera on the way to Dominican Republic. I didn't notice it until Miami but I remember them throwing it from the bag on the table. I never got to repair it after. Now imagine being a week on vacation with only a few disposable cameras

Congratulations melastmohican! Beautiful falls, I regret not going to see them last summer. Now I have even more incentive to hike to there next time I'm in Big Basin.

I also had a couple of sales from both today, none yesterday.

I like StockXpert too, and it is usually my number 3 or 4 site in terms of sales. I just hope they get their things together to function as a normal site again.

This morning all my images were reviewed.
Clivia, thanks for the tip about editing images. I will try that for my next batch since I'm pretty sure it's gonna get stuck again.

My images get reviewed within 1 - 7 days. Don't know why it is so slow for you. Maybe write to the admin?
I wrote to support three times. Every time I get the same automatic explanation to be patient and that images are reviewed in the order received. And then, they actually review my images. It bothers me that I have to write to them if I want them reviewed.

My images have been pending for more than 10 days on StockXpert now. In the last two months, I had to write to their support at least three times to remind them to review my images. Is anybody else experiencing this? I know that some fellow contributors have their images reviewed the same day, so I'm trying to find out if there is something wrong with my account there...

These drives don't have good reviews. Hight failure rates...
So which one do you recommend Konstatin?
I did some research and so far 1TB Western Digital Green Series seems like one of the most reliable high capacity hard drives.
I agree with Konstantin.

Great idea! Kudos to Leaf on constantly improving this forum. Let's hope all of us live up to it, too

The reviews seem to have stopped, at least for me. Maybe they are doing it in waves, per contributor. I guess we are not in hurry since they won't be on sale in the next few days anyway. I have a good acceptance so far. They definitely like people images, although some of those did get rejected. I was surprised that some of my better selling images got rejected for lack of commercial appeal.

I wasn't aware of this program at all, but after going through SS forums, it does sound interesting. I see it as a possible learning experience, as well as a chance to watch some events from places reserved only for the press. If some downloads come from it, even better

Congratulations! Wish you many more in future. I'm still waiting for my first sale, but I also need to upload there more actively. Hearing about someone making a sale is always encouraging.

Lisa, if it's of any consolation, you can claim it on your federal tax return. Generally either state income tax or state use tax can be claimed on federal tax return as one of the itemized deductions. For most people, at least here in California, state income tax is usually much higher. Since there is no income tax in FL, you might be able to claim all of this on your federal tax return.

It seems that people have a pretty big difference in their first experience with the first application and subsequent uploads. I would like to believe that Cathy's rejection was just a glitch. I am wondering what it the number of images to be approved out of the first 10 for the whole application to be approved? Some people assume that it is 10. I only had 4 approved and 6 still pending when I was pproved and could submit more. Anyone had a similar experience? By now, I already have quite a few approved so they have been approving the ones submitted later as well.

Congratulations to Lisa and Whitechild! Well deserved! Catastrophe was the person who wrote the funny text describing every single post on the IS forum. At least almost everybody agreed it was funny

They say they are not revealing who the partner is because of the competition. Let's see how this goes, it would be nice to start seeing some sales there in any case.

From YAYmicro Newsletter: "Third Party Sales Earlier this year YAY started distributing images through a third party sales channel. The first batch of images included in this deal was 20 000 images from about 20 different photographers. These images have been for sale since late February/early March, and the results so far seem promising. Therefore we have decided to add a further 20 000 of our best images to be sold this way. In order to choose the best images, we invite you to send us suggestions from your own portfolio." ... "Just make a project folder with 100 of your best images and send the public link to [email protected]." "P.S. The deadline for submission has been set to Wednesday June 17th."
