For me the ranking usually sits like this 1. Shutterstock 2. Pond 5 3. Storyblocks (still no benefit from the commission reduction)

Somewhere in the 30k range.
On a side note the new layout is very confusing. Ideally the login dashboard should show money, last sold pics, last accepted pics etc.

Do you also stabilize them with the warp stabilizer? What is the best way to build workflow around it?

That plus how amazing mobile photos are getting. Shot a wedding where a lot of people were shooting amazing bokeh and low light photos with their galaxy and pixel phones and instantly sending to others over google albums/whatsapp etc.
The game is going to be us learning more about the craft and getting better at story telling. It'll be more about doing stuff that can't get replicated by all the tech wizardly of the new gen phones that will instantly upload to places like FOAP.

My goal is to import a bunch of clips, cut their length, and do color correction.
I've use AE before for this, but the mere headache of importing a folder full of 4k and trying to make proxies for them so I can see them at speed has forced me over to Premiere, where at least the ingest function will do that automatically. I can't believe AE can't do something so basic.
This is because your use case is designed for Premiere Pro and not Ae. After Effects is primarily for two basic kinds of work 1) Motion Graphics design 2) Visual FX. Your workflow is definitely designed for Premiere Pro. Be sure to check out the Lumetri color workflow.

I think I've been making this mistake as well. My flow is loading multiple videos, cutting them, stabilizing, color correction and grading and then using AME to export. Would this end up working better on premier as well?
Second, have an issue with the warp stabilizer. I leave it for encoding overnight, however i have to ensure the warp stabilizer has run before i drag drop them into AME otherwise that stabilization blue bar gets encoded into the video. Is there a way to set this up better so that i don't have to sit through the stabilization process.
Yup, have found warp stabilizer a little bit of a challenge as given above

Having a strange issue with stock submitter uploading files correctly to Adobe stock but not submitting them. Have been facing this for a week now, I've checked that my settings are correct and I've not accidentally ticked Upload only. Some help on this would be amazing

Gave Premiere a shot, it has its challenges but i love the fact that i can play my clips in a non RAM preview sort of way. Seems to render really fast as well. Guess I'll need to learn this a little better now

Looks interesting, maybe you'll want to post a short info on why it'll work better than lets say opening up shutterstock and using their tool.

It is sad that I cannot find new tutorials. Real useful tutorials.
Do you know about RSS readers? Most of the good photo/video blogs have an RSS feed. That is what I subscribe to. I get daily world news (NYTimes, CNN, NPR) plus a dozens of photo/video blog posts every day. I scan through them, and just go past the headlines on maybe 5 to 10 per day.
The headlines (typically w/ first paragraph, but sometimes the whole article) gives me a constant feel of what is happening in the areas I am interested in. The headlines that talk about a new video let me pick and choose which videos to go watch.
For me, that works much better than just subscribing to YouTube and then watching random things that come through.
At any rate, if you are not familiar with RSS, go check it out. On a Mac, my favorite reader is called "Reeder" and is available on the Apple App Store.
Can you mention some of the good blogs that i should follow via rss

Heard a lot of issues with DP in the past, dollar clubs, crazy low prices and royalties. Ha s it is become a better place to be now?
Its still owned by shutterstock right?

They still make Final Cut? lol.
Yes, what's lol about it?
For timeline editing that doesn't require After Effects type manipulation, it's great. A couple times faster than Premiere and probably 10-20 times faster than After Effects. The difference is quite enormous.
For single clips to be uploaded as stock I use After Effects because it gives you maximum control. But man is it slow...
I've heard this a lot, AE being much slower than premiere. Seems like its time to give premier a shot for my stabilize, grade, export workflow

Hi everyone
So I've been trying to sell stock as an individual for some time now and i see that many of you sell as a company rather than as a person. On the payments, taxation etc how does this benefit? Should i also be looking at setting up a company to sell stock.

Tried doing that as well, it made the decision even more complicated. Hence just the AE vs Ap ask.

Shutterstock Pond5 Adobe and Storyblocks
Istock with their 20% and penny sales are not worth it.
Envato Videohive have now capped many contributors to 10+- videos week so if you take this seriously not worth it. It'is a pitty as they were gettying sales although their upload system was a nightmare much improved lately.
Stocksy Video I don't know as I am not in
All the others a big waste of time
In my opinion there are only four video sites worth uploading to. I don't see much benefit to paying a agency distribution middleman. I prefer having a direct relationship with those four companies.
Which agencies?
So if its going to be only these 4 then it might make little sense to share out some additional commission to the blackbox team. Then again, depends on how much effort you put in editing and key wording

export times are much faster if you work from Premiere. Even if you use exactly the same effects as in AE. The difference is like 12min from AE and 2min from Premiere. It doesn't matter if you export via AME. I've added results here: https://video-stock.org/test-pc-mac-video-rendering-performance-with-defined-adobe-premiere-project/
Thats very very strange, it seems that using After effects is somehow limiting the CPU usage (30% in your test). I've noticed a glitch though, sometimes during rendering 4k vidoes after effects does this throttling of CPU usage. Not sure why it happens only for 4k Well so point one in premier's favor, faster render times
