I had files on Corbis through the Getty House program. I have no idea how big my individual royalty was, I was getting 20% from whatever getty made, at least this was my understanding of the contract. But if this is what they offer externally than it must have been very low as well.

Why would they kill off TS now?
Getty created Thinkstock to compete with Shutterstock on subscriptions but Thinkstock failed to do it.
Now Getty brought subscriptions to iStock and made it even cheaper then Thinkstock.
I think they will close Thinkstock very soon to concentrate everything in one place.
I earn in getty family 15% IS and 85% TH. Thinkstock was a pitbul created to compete to SS but ... was IS who drop...

Is scam plan.
Subscription must be:
- A lot of number of images, hundred per month or many per day.
- Proportional benefit for contributor.
- Competitive risk for the agency (if a client download all the images of a top contribuitor) SS 750 x 0,38= 285 dollars...

I dont care if they are desperate but the subs on FT just went up by 15% points for me, which can mean a 400% increase on a XL sub sale. Without opting in to DPC. I take that raise any day of the week.
The only way this will really work is if people continue to opt out of DPC. They'll still get a raise in commission, but their sales on FT won't be undercut by sales on DPC.
It's a choice between a slightly lower (but higher than it was) commission on subs sales vs. a slightly higher commission that will quickly disappear as DPC sales take over and Fotolia sales drop.
Thanks for explanation...!! 4,71 go to Fotolia and 0,29 for me... I prefer this abuse to get into DPC...i want an "Opt - out "option for these fake 25$ subscription pack!!... I realy LOVE now Fotolia!!
