Thats the same policy as Panther Media where you can choose a higher price point for images only sold for higher prices elsewhere. Basically you can put them up on Alamy as RF and on your Symbiostock site priced similar. Thats cool.
EVO says that too, at 123.

Interesting from the link is that 'curated' now seems to have replaced 'reviewed'!
'Curated' is the new sexy word that has replaced 'inspected', 'reviewed' or basically 'choose'
I'm just off to curate what I'm having for lunch.
I suggest a moody, introspective burger with smoked bacon and a fried egg on top.

Let there be any good person to lead and handle this website from here msg forums and create and select team from here only. We know that buyers wants images and we also know we want fair commission.
Let me know your views on it.
You go right ahead.

1. Shouldn't need a permit, for the image, unless you need a permit to be in a certain location.
Depends on what is identifiable. The Eiffel Tower at night, yes. Random office building, not likely.
2. Well, everything is designed by someone. What matters is the uniqueness of the item and how litigious the company is.

It depends on which site, but mostly, no. You don't get to know.

I've just been sitting around quietly the past two years or so, being annoyed with all the things that doesn't work properly at iStock, so I thought it's time to actually do something. Share my thoughts on how to improve the site with the people in charge. But how the heck do you get in contact with Ellen Desmarais? I'm not a paying member at LinkedIn so that doesn't work. Does anyone know her e-mail?
Here's another executive. Maybe you'll have better luck: http://fabulousfemalenetwork.net/crowd-sourcing-creativity-and-photos/

Sorry, that's the impression I had from the early advertising, and I haven't looked since.

I cant believe what i see..... Look here ....specially the first line of images: http://www.offset.com/search/kids
Even our interns would get fired if they`d make "images" like this.
and that crap was announced as the new high quality stock agency??? what a laugh...
Wow, I thought it was going to be all national geographic type stuff, not vacation snaps.
I agree but as I see Stocksy is not much better. http://www.stocksy.com/search?src=home&text=kids
Sorry, I disagree.

"Getty Images is finally declaring iStock a Midstock brand given how high they have pushed the prices of iStocks exclusive imagery."
Are you saying they've slapped a label on it somewhere?

Seriously, there's no need to use "scout". Wait a few weeks and resubmit whatever it was. Although the way they are going these days, if they reject something....

That would be up to you to experiment and figure out.

Whooohooo, just got accepted into ImageBrief. Legend. Another step in my photography career. Just one year ago I was rejected. Improvement is key.
I'm in there too. Really surprised how many new things they put up a day.
I have no idea if I ever get to shoot anything they need, but it wouldnt hurt to be part of it. Exposure counts as well.
How do you fare there?
I've only put up one shot specifically from them and 2 from my library so far, and they haven't ended.

Probably one of the best outcomes is turning my wife around to the idea and being able to structure family holidays towards awesome travel photos.
I like to use my vacations to vacation. Stressing everyone out to try and get some stocky shots isn't my favorite thing to do, and I don't necessarily want to lug equipment around either. That, and that most places already have people that live there shooting stock all the time pretty much keeps me away from shooting "travel photos". JMO.

Well, thanks to my pals at Getty, I made about 1/20th what I did last year. However, Stocksy sales doubled from last month, so that's a plus DP, GL, Pond and my PS site may have added $1-150 in there too.

Why, why, why does it still lowercase every title and description?

I thought about it today until I saw that they can use my photograph at any time and as many times as they want without compensation.
Thanks - Jonathan
Well of course that depends on the contest terms.

I would like to ask for feedback from Stocksy contributors too. I'm selling my images on microstock sites but few months ago Stocksy caught my attention, I love their style and images and I would like to become a contributor. I sent them my portfolio already but they aren't interested in my stock images currently so I would like to show them different images next time. I prepared new portfolio, these images are more what I like personally, they aren't from microstock site. I would love to ask photographers which sent their portfolio to Stocksy in last weeks and were accepted if my images are suitable for them or not. If not, what shall I change? I will be very thankful for your recommendation and feedback.

Looking good (imo)

Hey,
My apologies. You are right. They are not identical. I can see that now. They are so similar its crazy that all of these get through. But Im guessing that, as the contributor is a big conglomerate of photographers, they have a much more relaxed reviewing process than the individual contributors. So things are just bulk processed without any humans checking anything. They might as well just have a direct wifi link from the camera to the the IS website!
Wow, the pop up loupe is so slow to come up, I can't hardly see any differences when trying to compare them.
