I also tried with previously rejected files and every one of them got approved.

Some people who are Istock exclusive really don't understand how easy and fast it is to upload to most of the other sites.
Particularly GL, it's the easiest of the lot.  Don't see the point of not uploading there.

Nothing for me since the 12th, either.

BTW, how is BS doing for people since they brought in subs? My running total is significantly down on what it used to be.
My running total is about the same but I was bridged over so I believe get higher payments for subs than those that weren't.
ETA  just checked back and yesterday's sales are now showing :D

Only for two more weeks, unless, of course, you are at the bazillian, kazillion download level :P
Only 2 weeks left???  That went quickly :( It was nice while it lasted.

I appear to have but one solitary file marked as Deactivated and still having a premium price! All my other stuff has been relegated to Main.

Well that's one more that me ;)

Well still not a single sale for me for yesterday. Very unusual as I do pretty well there normally.  I guess just ebb and flow then if others have seen sales.

307
Hmmm.... All my P+ appear to have been demoted to main. I don't think that will benefit me or iStock. Hopefully they have simply not gone through everything yet.
Same here so I'm hoping that it isn't finished yet.

I have never had anything in the Value Bin, my slider only has 4 choices. What are the prices for small size in Value Bin and S?
It goes from 1$ small to 4$ large.  My ones in the bin are all really old images so don't come any higher than large

Are sales registering on Bigstock?  I haven't had a single sale today and that doesn't often even happen at the weekend.

310
When I use the slider all of mine are in the lowest pricing.  That is worrying.  Also I only have collection filters for Main
or Value Bin and about 80 of my worst sellers are now in the value bin.

I'm not on Cutcaster, Zoonar or Panthermedia, so I can't speak to those.

OK thanks

You can get away with a lot more over there then you ever will here unless you are one of the special paid members who get away with more because they help to support the site.

I think that is a bit paranoid of you.  I don't think that Leaf is going to have favourites just because somebody pays 25$ a year.

313
I've never removed my port from anywhere but just give up on uploading if the work is more than the gain.

Normal sales for me.

315
How do you do at Cutcaster Lisa?  I didn't get a single sale last month.  That's the first time that has happened at any site that I upload to.  I've had 2 so far this month.  I only bother because it is so easy to upload to and I live in hope that one day if it changes I will at least have my port up there.   I dropped zoonar and Panthermedia because it was too much effort for such little returns.

316
I've only had 2 sales so far this month which has happened before.  In the last year I have had 2 months where I made over 40$ but several months where I made between 3 and 10$.  I find sales there a lot more random than most sites.

I'm of deep belief that if one thinks money is main goal in literary anything in life, then one is heavily misguided by wrong values.
Money is definitely my main goal for shooting stock.  If it wasn't I would be shooting a lot more arty stuff. I don't see anything wrong with that.  It's just something I do to make money.  I certainly don't dislike it and I would rather be doing it than many other jobs but money is still my main goal for shooting stock type images.

It doesn't help to keep saying "Lets say that you are using a few Google Images", like any image online is owned by Google.
I thought exactly the same thing.

Lately I am getting 100% acceptance for technical quality but keep getting dinged for model releases.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Confused about credits
« on: June 06, 2013, 05:51 »
They sell different credit packs.  Somebody that buys 100s of credits pays a lot less than somebody that only buys a few. Your commision is based on what the buyer paid.

Wow I'm shocked if you thought that what was meant as advice is argueing. My only point was change the things you can and don't waste time worrying about the rest.  If you think that is argueing then I truly am sorry

Why wouldnt I figure out the best way to increase sales?
The only way to significantly increase sales is to upload lots of great quality, great concept images that are well keyworded.
Of course, but you cant deny that the agencies have a big influence on sales. Check the SS forum, loads of people with big ports with extremely high quality images and vectors are down significantly. What about IS? Did all those people shooting extremely high quality stuff all of a sudden submit crap? I like to believe not.

But if I get 100% rejections and new stuff isnt picking up any sales, you need to figure out whats wrong. I dont need someone telling me that I am the problem. I am constantly changing what I shoot, and my work is improving, but most of all I shoot what I love. I am not going to do isolated table top work, just because it sells. That has nothing do to with complaining, I just need to be passionate about the subject otherwise I cant give it my all.

Loads of people mistake figuring out something or questioning something with complaining. And its those people that just plod on getting no where because they accept everything thats happening around them. Fair enough, they are probably happy people, but dont they dont need to get the idea they that they have to lecture people. Live and let live.
Don't be so touchy, it wasn't meant as a critisism as I have never seen your work and I'm sorry that you took it that way.  My point is that the things that the agencies do are out of our power to do anything about.  I have been hit very badly by site changes but there is zero that we can do about changing that.  About the only thing that we can do to help is to improve our work and keywording and upload as many good quality image as possible .  I don't deny that the agencies have a big influence on it but there is nothing we can do about that so all I am saying is concentrate on the things that you can change and not waste time on things that you can't.

They got back to me and said they purchased it from Dreamstime and are contacting them for more info. Of all the stock sites it was the one which has terrible poor sales for me.
So they didnt get the EL from DT then? Or do you have an EL sale on DT for the image?

Why would you need an EL for a movie poster? It's unlikely to be resold or have a print run more than 500K surely?

From DT's website;

"Using our regular RF license you CAN:

- illustrate websites
- decorate you home or office
 - create advertising posters, flyers, postcards and any other promotional material of this type
 - create unique interior designs
 - illustrate books and CD covers and booklets
 - illustrate magazine articles and covers or newspapers
 - create wrappings for different products
- create posters for humanitarian campaigns or social campaigns
 - create company presentations"

Case closed...  :-\
No that says create, not sell
