They just rejected the 12 shots I uploaded in 3 batches. One of them was a close shot of a lifeboat on a carge ship. They rejected it because "Thanks, but we have too many similar photos already. Try to upload something else please"... Sure! Try this: make a search with "lifeboat": 76 photos will show up. Discard the ones where there is no lifeboat in it (yes it happens sometime )and you will end up with ..... 16 photos. Now if 16 photos of a subject is enough for them, fine. Be aware of it!!! That said, I don't care, these photos will sell well somewhere else. They will lose much more than me! Claude

In Montreal, the "artificial" shortage is over and you now can have a 40D almost anywhere. Did I say that I really love it? Claude

As for complaints though, I don't think a co-op type site would have any less complaints than other sites... perhaps more. It is the nature of humans to complain. you can't and never will please everyone.
Very good point! Claude

Hi Bjorn, We had that type of discussion few months ago about setting up a coop of photographer. It was very interresting from my point of view but the tasks was huge Anyway I still think that it must be something that we must look at it. Claude

You're right for LL Lozeau. But I don't know for the D300. I suggest that you call them regularly and grab one the minute they receive a stock!
For my 40D, I called them tuesday morning and they told me that they had 2 in stock. By the time I got to the store, they had sell one already!
The other one was for me!

I would get the 40D if I was you
I can't wait to buy a 40D; but I red somewhere that it is not really weatherproofed. In fact, they sealed only the two doors, the port access and the CF access. There is no seal around the pop up flash nor around the lens... So I don't think that we can call the 40D a weatherproof camera! Claude

Well, first of all I would certainly hesitate before buying a 1000$ camera on eBay... Don't be fooled by the 17 or so accessories, many of them can be found in any dollar store! But the prices for the camera and the 2 lenses are not so bad. In my opinion, I would buy the camera with the kit lens (in a photo store!) and then shop for any other lens, depending on your needs... I'm not sure that these two lenses are well adapted to this camera; sounds like a Ferrari mounted on 12 inches tires And remember that Canon just lauched the 40D, so expect more rebates from them on the 30D! I wish I could upgrade my XT to the 5D too but it is a littlebit too $$$ But the 40D seems to me a logical step to the 5D. From what I red, what I find the most appealing is: - Improved image quality (DIGIC III, 10.1 Mpx, 14bit) - 6.5 fps, wow, that's a lot of images!!! - Live view (not sure if it works well but it sounds fine to me) - More control over the exposure (better spot metering) So I just added it to my wishlist for Chrismas Claude

Hi Leaf,
the link doesn't work; maybe it was removed from Amazon?
Same thing for the link you posted for the Canon 1DS Mark III...

Well in fact I knew that I would have to be careful with the exposure because of the filter but with braketting I tought I could handle it.
But I can't see why the autofocus has problem...
Anyway, I'm on my way to buy a circular one too!

Can anyone give me some advice on a good medium price filter? I don't know where to start.
Thanks!
I bought a non-circular one and I'm not satisfied with it. Can't explain but my Sigma 17-70 has trouble focusing with it, and in low light, focus is almost impossible. I "think" that it is due to the use of a non-circular... if I'm wrong, please someone correct me! So it ended in my bag and I'm now looking for a circular one (which is more $$$).

Why don't you give the ShutterStock Press Pass a try?
I know it may be a little late but who knows?

Well that's what Adelaide was reffering to; we had a thread about building a coop site few months ago. That was a great idea but building a new site is I think a full time job!!! And we would end up with another new stocksite Claude
