I have a feeling they modified the search engine for people who turned subs off forcing them opt-in again.
I believe you are right vphoto  As ALL of my activity on this site stopped the day I "opted-out." Also ... they heavy hitters would not have returned unless it hit their revenue stream significantly. Mark

I've bumped my pricing up to $11.00 per image for RF+Extension allowing resizing. As I hope the higher commissions will be worth any wait in between sales.

A heads up to everyone it appears that "Attila the Reviewer" has surfaced at BigStockPhoto (BigStock). It has been seven days since my last approval (1) and 29 rejections since then. Hell ... even God rested on the 7th day.

With only a couple of posts to your name, and the designation of "newbie" here on MSG perhaps you are not familiar with the wanderings of "Attila the Reviewer" who has been known to crop up from time after drifting aimlessly from stock site to stock site ... All,
Right now I am experimenting with sending certain images only to MostPhotos. While these images that I will put up on MostPhotos are not "exlusive" images by their definition (probably should be "Sell The Rights") they will be sold at their RF prices and nowhere else. I plan to test around 20% of my portfolio with this midstock only type of strategy. I'll let everyone know if I see any results.

I just checked alexa.com and compete.com for MP. Both sites do not have yet data for MP.
that means that traffic is still very low and that expecting sales (that is more than one sale a month) is premature.
I think they've only just started pursuing international markets within the last 4-5 months. Prior to that is was Swedish based only I belive ... Mark

I just began to upload there two days ago, got some immediate rating which didn't bother me, and suddenly, yesterday, four 1s. Just checked, they were given on two pics by somebody who registered the same day. He uploaded five pictures and gave 48 ratings.
How can you see who rated you? I'm still having difficulties to navigate around MP as it's so slow, heavily programmed and loaded with scripts. The navigation map looks to me like the Gordian Maze ;-)
PS - and I wish they would get rid of their spell errors. Looks so unprofessional. Your pictures are beeing uploaded... I can always hear the bees humming then 
I made an enemy myself, so I can expect a stalker re-registering too and flame me with 1's. Whatever...
Flemish, When you click on an image thumbnail, right where you see rating, click on the number of votes. An example would be: Rating 7 (54 votes) ... click on the "54 votes" part. There you can see a list of who's voted on your image and what ratings. From there the names are linke to their profile. I hope this helps. Mark

I agree with all ! Especially with KiwiRob ! They must have just been 29 crap photos. I just better give up on stock ... hmmmmmm 5 straight consecutive BME's across all sites for both #of sales and revenue since the first day I started to educate myself as to what it takes to be a stock photographer. nawwwwwwwwwww I think I'll stick around a little while longer. Better look in your review cause this freight train isn't stopping as it continues to gain steam My thanks to all that had realistic comments as to why this might have changed suddenly for me at BigStock. Once again BigStock is near and dear to me at heart as it was my first stock site. I do not mean to offend anyone there with my sense of humor. Best Regards to All, Mark

Come on Mark relax a bit BigStock is one of the most forgiving sites around. Least rejections for me. In almost 2 years in June, 233 submitted 33 rejections.
Just a bad week I guess. It will get better.
No worries jorge ... I do understand that. My post is just a little fun supported by that fact. We've all had a brush with "Attila" at various sites ... and life will go on. Attila is like "Kilroy was here" Spotted Everywhere. Mark

Well I signed up, but haven't started uploading yet. (so even though I dd use you as a refferal, don't expect any euros off my sales - for another year:) anyway...
Do you know if there is a way to search images by sales. I've been looking and browsing through the photos tis morning and haven't found one picture that didn't have 0 sales. -I'll keep looking
Also while getting 12EU for a sale and being able to skip any review process ar enice from the photographers views, I wonder how well they're doing in terms of attracting buyers. or what they're doing...
Scorche, Thank you for the referral. Shoot me an email over on the MP website when you get a chance and I'll be happy to help when your online. There is no capability to search by number of sales although that may come in the future as the site is growing its sales daily from what we here. They have been attracting buyers who have been making cash deposits for credits from what I have heard and have posted elsewhere here on MSG. As far as actually seeing a sale ... I have had my first sale there and from what I have heard, without mentioning any names, several other regular MSG members have sold there as well. I would very much agree with you vphoto The community is great, but ultimately it will be the cash that counts. Having made my first sale there for 12.5 Euros in commissions was truly a wonderful thing and I hope that many more follow this year Mark

MostPhotos has created a very unique community which I think is incredible when compared to all of the similar sites out there. I do believe there is room for it and that it serves a void in the current marketplace.
One of the things that I like the most about MostPhotos is the fact that I get to be the judge of what I believe well sell. We all know there are photographers that have had a photo rejected for one reason or another only to have another agency pick it up and have it go on to be a best seller. However, along with the ability to upload anything comes with a distinct responsibility which I gladly accept.
I also like the way that MostPhotos has found a way to market a niche of more artistic photos that tend to get rejections at the traditional microstock agencies.

I dont know why but my 123rf earnings are 10x BigStocks 
Oh don't get me wrong ... my earnings at 123rf, DT and FT all exceed BigStock. I was merely pointing out that BigStock's average commission is higher than the others. Mark

For what its worth my average commission per image sold at BigStock is around $1.10 when compared to $.94 at FT and DT.

I made it into StockXpert on 2nd attempt. However, everything happens very slowly there. I've also heard that "batch" rejections are quite common there so please have tough skin Mark
