More from Yuri Acurs:

Odd. We've already learned that neither "citizen journalism" stock nor "assignment" stock works as a paradigm. Already many such businesses out of business.

Wow, they certainly are liars, aren't they? "iStockphoto is now the only site where the Arcurs Collection of photo, video, audio and vector elements can be found." http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-4431227-whats-that-up-there.phphttp://peopleimages.com/image/whats-that-up-there-eye-beautiful-portrait"iStockphoto customers will also notice substantial cost reductions with half of the library now at half the price. This long-term pricing change reassures time-pressed creatives that they no longer have to shop around for a better deal. Almost half of the iStock library includes unique content that is not available outside of the Getty Images family." Nice how they talk about "half the price" - independent collection, and then switch to talking about the half that is exclusive. And we know that they are believable when they've promised things in the past, so "long-term" is certainly believable. "With more enhancements on the way, iStock recently updated the way search results are displayed with a streamlined grid and rollover capabilities that offers customers a cleaner, faster and simpler way to find specific content and the information they need." Faster, with a loupe that takes seconds to load, simpler, with how you have to move the mouse around to see the next loupe, and cleaner, with the double grey frame on images. "new "Only from iStock" and "Editors' Pick" icons that make it easy to identify and purchase the perfect, stand-out content," And we all know what lies those are. Wow.

It's very confusing, there are so many Symbiostock threads that I don't know where to find the basic information that I need to get started. Some links would help.
Yep. It honestly just looks like way to much work right now to figure out how to modify, customize, upload, etc. And I don't want to upload, and change data, only to find the whole things changes and I have to one-by-one something again.

"Who's going to sue if they find one of Yuri's images on Dreamstime?"
Yeah, wouldn't want any of that 'truth in advertising' stuff.

"Where else can you download one of Yuri's photos with the same license as from Istock? Aren't people paying for a license and isn't the Istock license unique? Maybe all content should say only from Istock."
Ummmm, everywhere else, including his own site? Try again.

I detailed this on my blog. It's at least misleading and at most a lie. Especially for yurilux and Getty imports.

I am a beginner in selling my pictures, but not in the photography. My subjects are: architecture, landscape, travelfotographie. But no pro shoots with models.
Sounds like you don't do any planned shoots, and just capture what you find while walking about. The market for that was hot in 2004. Not so much today.

... And you'll need keyword help.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Dan, and the majority here. Stock isn't worth expending a lot of effort on anymore.
I used to consistently upload over 1,000 pictures a year, and that represented a lot of work for me, as a one person operation. This year I will be lucky if I manage to upload 300-400 images.
I used to get really excited when I would have new stock ideas. Now I still get new ideas, but then I think of the effort and expense of producing, processing, and submitting them, and it just doesn't seem worth it. So the new ideas remain in my head until or unless it becomes worthwhile to create them.
If I had a day job, or a skill that would earn me a decent living, I would be preparing my exit strategy.
I don't dare waste any time on the kind of fun, isolated, stocky type things. As I upload my existing work and see minimal sales, I can't see a reason to.

+1 on the removal of capital letters. How hard is it to fix that?
The entire uploading process is awkward. It just is. Look over here, click over there, do this pulldown, go to that page, etc.

Looks like you won't get the PP payment in time for this week's request, as it will be after the (undetermined) date of the GI payment adjustment: "AS SOON as we have addressed the issues outlined in this Announcement we will be able to start pushing the PP payments."

They said the GI fix would be today.
Which timezone?

As an exclusive, I would have liked to hear this years ago. Then again, some people like the option of spreading their work through the "family".

Your "about" page is in direct conflict with your licensing terms: "The images offered at Imagesyard can be used any number of times and there are absolutely no limitations on the royalty-free images."
Also, your English needs a copywriter to come across as fluent and clean. Additionally the description of the content available is quite grandiose when all that is available is similarly styled 3d images when I search on "man" for instance.
I'd suggest losing the "credits". Buyers find them "tricky".
Keep trying.

If that occurs, it doesn't change the fact that PP payments take 6-7 days, which would put the end past the deadline of Friday morning.

Thanks guys, I think the project is starting to work. We are at 60k images at the moment, I am sure we are going to 100k that means we will be bigger then People Images, if we keep going maybe get to 200k images we could be bigger as Stocksy
I see about 200 on your category page, so maybe something isn't working?
Hey Sean, I meant in the network, not me alone. That would be something else ;-)
Ah, sorry. I took "we" as "me", not "we" as "us"...

Isnt that considered to be use of the image on a website?
Yep, nothing special.

I was talking about the collection changes, integration with Getty, and Istock picking where files belong. I don't think they are lowering their standards in order to be more like Stocksy but I don't really look at that site.
I didn't say they were lowering standards to be like Stocksy - I said they were trying to achieve a new "aesthetic freedom" to compete with Stocksy, and their solution was to lower technical requirements, which, as we've seen, have been lowered to the floor. And no, I don't really recall any indication in the past that they wanted to pick where files belong.
