You should ask Leaf for a Verified stamp so we know that you are actually an Adobe Stock representative. A whole lot of people here don't bother posting under their own name, so it is difficult to tell whether someone is who they say they are.
But your explanation makes perfect sense!
The same thing was asked from Mat too when he first posted here. I never understood why Adobe/FT doesn't use it's own official forum for announcements, so these kind of (legitimate) doubts could never occur and/or hurt anyone. The info could still be replicated here as well.

I find it odd that Adobe announced a sale here immediately before adjusting people's accounts for underpayment. So people mistakenly thought they were getting extra sales and got all excited, rather than questioning why they had apparently been under paid for quite a while.
I look forward to being pilloried.
pilloried ?? It's amusing to read how praise and blame alternates in this thread.

Thank you for your responses.
I never give out my email address and after I sent them a message directly, I realized they may have been trying to gain access of my email to login or something? It seemed so specific because they gave me a file number but maybe that is what "they" do ...
It's too late now but you should never give out a "good" email address. I have a free email account on mail.com it lets you create 10+ aliases to throw them away when no more needed. You should try it too for future events.

I stopped uploading to Canstock years ago, that site seams to be on autopilot.
I like 123's simple uploading process and the site always worked like clockwork for me, except the long waiting time. I hope this selective review is just a temporary thing, they must be heavy with uploads so at the end of the year.

123 was always one of the tidiest agencies (IMO) but something strange is going on lately with the review process. Waiting time was long but when finally time came to review stuff, they reviewed all files. Lately they review just a few files, some from the bottom, some from the middle and some from the top of the pile waiting. Just an example to be more clear: I had 60 waiting, one was reviewed but I have no idea which one, the next day another one reviewed. That makes 58 waiting. I uploaded 5 more images and the image count showed 51 instantly instead of 63. Guess what, some of the newest files were pushed (reviewed) over to approved, also some from the middle of the pile. Anyway, none of these newly approved show up in my port yet.
Anyone else?

@DC, I know, I have the same experience with them. My last review in summer took me about two month and two weeks without emailing them but now, so close to the end of the year, it probably takes longer. I gave up contacting them any more.

Is it just me or DP got REALLY picky over some time now? Firstly it was low commercial value, and now I get tones of rejections based on "too many / similar" reason. Even though these are quite different photos and SS / FT accepts the whole batch. I mean DP isn't that good to be this kind of picky, is it...? What do you think? Anyone still uploading there?
Yes, I had the same rejection reason this month and also those images were accepted by all others, even DT. I have ~40 in my earnings and I will not miss them once I make payout. That will take a while with these sub downloads.

Me too....does anyone I wonder?
I'm sure some do. There are some who are under the delusion that doing this increases exposure and that increased exposure translates to sales. Giving images away for free no doubt benefits DT (increased traffic from those looking for freebies can impact google search rank) but for individual contributors I've never seen any evidence that it increases sales in any measurable way.
DT stopped disabling images that haven't sold several years ago when they realized their image collection wasn't keeping up with their competitor's growth. It's all about numbers these days. DT just hit 50 million while SS passed 100 million a while ago.
Actually when you consider their relative sales performance 50 million on DT is far more scary than 100 m on SS
And when you consider 50 million clean library, no duplicates, 50 million is much more than 100 m full of spam. It's a pity that DT can not sell more.

I have 60 images and 16 videos waiting for review from September 22. Two days ago 1(ONE) of 60 was reviewed and I was hoping for followup but nothing happened. Anyone knows how long is the waiting time these days. Will I get them reviewed this year?

I think if you change your option to keep on line it remembers that and next time it defaults to that, not give away for free.
Thanks for the info, good to know.

I have downloads in a short interval (5-6 consecutive days) of each month, sometimes several downloads/day but after that the switch is off. That's the exposure I get and this pattern will not change by giving away some images for free. My earnings at DT are miserable.

Thanks guys, that's what I think too. I started uploading four years ago and this is the first time I got this message. If I wanted to give them for free I wouldn't upload them to micros.

I just got an email from DT: This is an automated notification. Your portfolio includes images that have been online for more than 4 years with no downloads up to the present. In order to keep up with the current standards we believe they should be removed from our commercial database, allowing fresh content to be more visible.
The following action options are available for you to decide:
- donate the image to the free section (default action) which can provide significant portfolio exposure and increase your sales; images can be disabled at any time later. - keep the image online.
In order to review the images and take the desired action, please access the link below. If no action is taken, the default one is automatically selected.
Review the images: https://www.dreamstime.com/oldfiles.php Of course I have images with no downloads, who hasn't but what I find interesting is that they selected three images that I should waste for free, two of them are isolated gift boxes, just perfect for Christmas giveaway. If you look at the wording, first they say that old images should be removed from the database, which I could agree with and also stop uploading. However, later on, they give me two options, to donate or to keep them online. Would you give your images for free, while you market them on other agencies too? I wonder if this has anything to do with what Shelma said at this other thread.

Hello everyone,
I am a newbie in stock photography and I am realy curious if you can help me with the problem I have on Adobe stock regarding similar images
how are these images similar...I understand that the background is the same but the product is different and what makes me wonder is why do they reject both of them because of similarity ?
By Adobe/FT similar usually means that they have enough of a certain type of image, subject is already well covered. I used to get this rejection when I uploaded flowers, now I don't even try. That's why they rejected both images.

coincidentally I happened to re-watch 'McCabe & Mrs Miller' which has Cohen's songs as an integral background, esp 'Stranger Song' which encapsulates the movie:
Like any dealer he was watching for the card that is so high & wild he'll never need to deal another. he was just some joseph looking for a manger
Yes. I love him to bits. And then leaning on your window sill He'll say one day you caused his will To weaken with your love and warmth and shelter And then taking from his wallet An old schedule of trains, he'll say I told you when I came I was a stranger

Shortly after releasing his Swan song " "You Want It Darker"", the great poet, songwriter and artist, Leonard Cohen has passed away. Goodby Leonard, you will be missed. If you are the dealer, I'm out of the game If you are the healer, it means I'm broken and lame If thine is the glory then mine must be the shame You want it darker We kill the flame . . Hineni, hineni I'm ready, my lord

#PureArt,
Well you are right, I was wrong when I said UK people, I should have said UK contributors but in this context I thought that was clear. As you see, I have a language barrier.
For this I apologize to all UK people.
I think you are exaggerating with the rest. I don't hate anyone, why should I, my brother lives in Ireland. But I do hate politics.
As honestly as I can, I tell you, it was your attitude that made me write to you.
I don't mind to ask Lief myself to delete my comments (and yours) if that will bring peace to you. Is there any other punishment you see fit to be applied to me for free speech?
About BREXIT, the press did a good job in this regard.
Now that things have degenerated enough here, I don't wish to monopolize this thread any further, so I retire for the night. Have a good night yourself and don't be so sensitive.
Leaf, please delete this passage if you think that is it over offensive.

Dodie, if for some reason the moderators will leave your post here I will answer you in detail.
In short: I guess your country does not have a 0% "US tax treaty" agreement, but why do you think it is my personal fault? Am I a prime minister, president or king of your country (wherever you live)?
Thanks God, you are not the moderator, I bet you would delete anyone who contradicts you. First, this is an independent forum and I don't think I said anything unjust. Second, We are all paid in the same currency by other agencies and nobody ever wanted to change it. I could understand your demand to FT to do the same thing but asking for a raise for just one category looks somewhat strange. I never heard anyone from the US complaining that is stronger than $ and they want to be paid more. So, as you see, this has nothing to do with governments and kings but with your attitude. And yes, we do have a treaty with the US, well, not 0% but 10% but that is not the point here.

PP fees are not the same for every country. For me it's $2.50 or 2.00/withdraw, no matter the amount. I've set a higher minimum because I don't want to pay for each $35 - $50 portion.
In case that you have your PP fees in %, the amount doesn't matter.
It seems like there is a some kind of fee for paypal, despite it saying otherwise in my email. Looking at my last payout, there was a 2.83% difference from the payout and actual deposit in my paypal account.saying how much their fees are. I cannot say for sure if this percentage is valid for all payouts, as I have had only one payout. But, as long as paypal does not have any extra fees PER deposit, then I guess you are right in saying that the amount doesn't matter.
You will not find any documentation at SS regarding PP. You have to look at PP site. " PP does not have any extra fees PER deposit," meaning that you can keep your money in PP balance, but they have all kind of fees when you withdraw, again, depending on your country of residence. Here is the documentation for my region, it could be different for yours, just replace /ro/ with your country abbreviation in the URL. https://www.paypal.com/ro/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-withdrawal-fees-outside select your country here https://www.paypal.com/ro/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-receiving-fees-outsidehttps://www.paypal.com/ro/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside https://www.paypal.com/ro/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-xborder-fees-outside&countries=

Dear Mat Hayward,
Currently 1 EUR = 0.9 GBP. But when I convert my credits at Fotolia (Adobe Stock) the rate is 0.75. It means: I earn 100 credits = 100 EUR and should get 90 GBP via Paypal, but Fotolia (Adobe Stock) sends me 75 GBP only.
This way all the UK contributors lose 15 GBP from every 100 credits (90 GBP) earned. It is a hidden 17% fee.
Why so? When are you going to fix the rate? Will you update it weekly to reflect the actual rate?
I think the rate is just right. You, UK people don't pay US taxes, don't pay PP fees, you don't pay conversion fees, you BREXIT by ignorance and still you are always the first to complain when you have the impression that you are mistreated. Do the math again, the honest way this time.

Nothing but 30 cent sales and even those are fixed every month 17 downloads plus or minus 1
I don't bother with them anymore
I wonder where are the $0.40 and $0.44 sales that we were used to get one or two years ago. For me they suddenly disappeared
There was a royalty cut last year in September, we were notified by email: http://www.microstockdiaries.com/depositphotos-raises-prices-and-lowers-royalties.htmlAll I get is $0.3 subs for a long time. Maybe their so called "new DPC" has something to do with these subs.
