there is no problem. as far as I can remember fotolia is paying every 10-12th day of their internal cycle. so if you are lucky to ask payment a day before end of cycle you will get money in 1 day. if you are unlycky to ask payment day after end of cycle you will get money in 10-12 days. simple as that, and it has been like that in last year, at least.

Things take time. SV started more than a year ago, but only the last 2-3 months have given me significant sales there. If all contributors had deleted their portfolios, they wouldn't have gotten anywhere.
It will probably take 1-3 years for Yay to become a serious competitor as well. Deleting a portfolio before that is a waste of time.
what time? my best earners are worse and worse every next month, and I am supposed to believe that some new agency will do better by some miracle? I would be happy to maintain this pace on FT, SS and DT. But I have to work 3 times harder every month, just to stay on the same level, to stay in game.

So they have best upload system does not mean they should sell well. I deleted all my images few months ago, and (so far) it turns to be a right move.

I was wondering what was happening. I used to have stedy sales, but in last 7 days, almost none! 123rf is doing better than IS. I wonder is it worth to upload any more. Non-exlusive.

what about image qualiti? any changes and artifacts on levels changes or saturation?
no difference in image quality between cs3 and cs4. not worth upgrade, until perhaps "Windows 7" 64 bit, but then will be CS5 probably. hhhh

I de-installed CS4, and got back to CS3. CS4 is much slower in real work, dont like it at all. CS3 is more than enough for me.

i got an email from adobe today advertising CS4 but it looked to me that it was just pre-order, I couldn't actually get it yet?! ... not sure if I will though. I am not sure it is worth the upgrade from CS3
CS4 was officialy announced and released 5-6 days ago.

Is it faster? no one has even mentioned the processing speed. Does it matter? not really. Why? because 52 seconds to 45 seconds isn't going to make a difference in anyone's life.
you couldnt be more wrong. This is just a test on 10 files. I usualy have a batch of 200-300 raw images to process (other thay I had 1000 images from cousin's wedding), and it IS important is it going to be processed in 1 hour, or in 30 minutes. I was expecting better performance, because they were announcing that new CS4 can use GPU for processing images, with CPU, for better performance. From this test, I dont think it uses my GPU. Maybe my graphic card is old and useless for PS. lol. Or it uses GPU for some other operations... I will play with it in next few weeks so I will know the difference better.

Dont think they review images for better ranks first. They all wait in the same queue. It takes about 3-4 days theese days.

That explains poor sales (I got accepted some images on saturday, and almost none of them sold yet). I am getting really worried about SS.

I tested speed difference between PS CS3 and CS4 in converting RAW to JPEG.
10 RAW files, 15MP EOS 50D, total about 200MB in size. All parameters were the same in both tests.
CS3 Camera RAW 4.6 - 52 seconds CS4 Camera RAW 5.1 - 52 seconds
(Intel Core2Duo E4600 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM DDR2-800, 8800GTS 320MB GPU).

I delete images with every next session, even if card is not near half full. Oposite for battery, I wait for it to drain completely, and my cammera tels me "Replace battery" (I have 2 batteries so one is always ready).

I just realized you can ask payment as many times as you like. When you ask payment, it acts like you didnt ask, and you can ask again. and again...

did you ask payment BEFORE or AFTER site upgrade? I asked mine 2 days ago, AFTER upgrade.

Tnx.
Before they introduced subscriptions, I used to sell 5-6 EX per month, now I sell 1 in one or two months. Perhaps buyers think when they buy subscription package, they have right to EX licence?!
