Funny two days ago I was looking for a photo of overwegith (not obese) but cute sexy girls wearing plain shirts and I couldn't find anything on any microstock place..to save my life..so I was looking at Getty....
So today that means....photos are cheaper there......
I went to the site....and they are not only offering images at such low price,
not only that..but with the Biggest benefit of alll...
unlike most Microstock all their images come with indemnification ....
I know this is a big thing with big ad agencies and such because I worked with some before....It is a requirement...
So, now, this is some serious competition with microstock places...
with the affiliate marketing bringing more people, flooding the market with more images..good and bad....now with even more Giants competitors
what else is left?
whats your plan B besides being a microstock photog or artist?

I have a litle over 50 there. I got sales on the first batch....I sent more illustrations but it has been quite sometime now... Now that they are increasing the number of contributors, I don't know how they are going to manage thousands and thousands of images and the whole keywording and everything... it will take foreva.

wow so cool!!!! well, the abuse sucks ... people just go to stock sites get images pay the standard license that doesnt allow cafepress and such ...They dont' read the agreements...
I any case, don't you get tired of bhaving your images abused??
I got my illustrations and opened a zazzle acount myself.....I mean, if someone is going to make money from my work is going to be me ....
since IM no longer istock exclusive I'm spreadking my images on other sites...including cafepress zazzle....so that covers more territory ahahaha

What do you mean by cooperation??? like you do an image, then a second illustrator completes it? or two illustrations with one single account? Why do you think that would work? the only time they colaboarate is in the battlle cages, and then both colaborate. Did anyone have experiences with cooperation accounts on any microstock site? I want to start a project account with an other illustrator. We both will cooperate and build images where both of us do some work and put them together in one image (more images naturaly). I've seen such cooperation at IS but there's no "official" statement on and about this kind of work to find. I also looking for some photographers for cooperation in this way. Anyone here who have to say something about this case?
Well, i know, you have thougt about this and now you would like to talk about this case you never have done. Maybe you can read here about this whitout telling anyone your big ideas and people who have experiences in this can tell something more, thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to register with alamy...Im an illustrator based in the US...
In the registration form they ask if you are Vat registered in the UK?
I live in the US, do I need to do anything regarding the Vat tax? How does international sales work?
sorry for the dumb question...

Hi, I'm jumping in... I have been there for years, but I was exclusive for more than a year...It was okay. Then, a few months ago all the sudden my earnings declined like crazy???.. Just as a way of example, I was consistently making no less than 200 then it went down to 100 or less, and has been like these for the last months, so why do I want exclusivity for?
I have a small porftolio, so Im better off scattering the images on other sites
I cancelled my exclusivity. I want to contribute to more of the big ones.
