Thanks Ron. As long as the buyers side is unaffected sales should be unaffected too. Then again what if they experience the same when they're trying to purchase an image and that comes up at the same time our area is down.
I shudder to think!

1: Definitely streamline the uploading process. 2: Unclutter the edit page after uploading. I should be given the option to collapse sections I don't need/use and be able to save that as default every time I go in and upload 3: As others said the search.

Good I'm not the only one seeing that right now. I'm not a tech-head but it makes me wonder how those internal server errors come up? Is it directly related to the database?

You're not alone. This year has been particularly terrible as far as downloads and revenue are concerned. And I agree this summer is way slower than previous ones and the way the market and economy are the suppliers are the ones that get the short end of everything. New images that used to sell right out of the gate aren't going anywhere which isn't very motivating on our end to keep going. I'm on around 11 sites of which I only upload to about 6. The others just aren't worth my time anymore.
Leave your ports and definitely start working and building on your own. I'm pretty sure that the satisfaction of building your own is far higher than the frustrations surrounding the agencies. And hopefully a lot less stress too since you only have to upload to one place. Once my situation improves I'll probably do the same. I'm also sure that there are others that have already done this too.
I wish you the best of luck.

I think there's a 30 day grace period before it goes anywhere if I read the email correctly. Definitely set it to disable and not free. If it's still available on other sites why give it away there?

Microstock for me is my full time job which was fine when I started out. Back when I started I was a stay at home mom which was fine it brought in extra money to help pay the bills and incidentals.
That has definitely changed this year with sales being really terrible to start the year off I've started looking for a regular job in the last two months. Very hard to come by even with my diverse work history that I had before I had kids.
If you can do it that's great I wish those that are full time the best of luck, for me I have to get back into the rat race.

I see the same. Looks like they fixed it.

Checked my sales on DT and something weird is going on. I got a sub sale today the next one under that says I had a sale on the 20th and the one under that on the 24th (Everything below the 24th is ordered correctly).
Anyone else notice anything weird like that? Makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes either they had an issue or they don't place it as sold unless the buyer checks out?

My default is set to disable. I've been getting the old files emails since last month. This month I'll probably have a few more then I won't get any of those emails for another 8 months.

I agree with Black Jack. I think from what I read on the forums you also have to email support and tell them to group them together so all resolutions are on the same page. I'm not sure if that changed with their site redesign or not or if there's a way for you to do that through your dashboard.

They did change their name to GL Stock Images but I don't think it stuck.
For me when they opened up to photographs my sales took a dive (nothing against photographers at all) after that and never recovered.

If they sent that out in an email I never got it. MY upload limit is 40 and I couldn't make that many in a week if I tried.
Isn't there some kind of legal precedent that makes monopolies illegal? Trying to remember from years ago when Microsoft got sued for that reason.

Some have speculated that the buyer's have a discount but I don't think that's been proven yet. I got a lower than what I normally saw at $4.20 when I usually get $5.25 or higher.
I know they were doing some tests with it awhile back where contributors were seeing smaller than that but, if I remember correctly, they didn't reveal what those tests were for.

Way down over April. The only two that were up over last month were Deposit Photos and Big Stock. Everyone else was way down. Most disappointing was the lack of sales at SS.

I haven't had a sale there since the 20th. I'm pretty sure they're way down for me compared to last month. Kinda been like that all over for me despite getting back online and uploading new images.

Yeah their search has deteriorated a lot recently. Can't imagine the frustration buyers are seeing when they search for something and a lot of the stuff that's shown isn't at all what they were looking for. The exclude keywords box can get filled out really quickly so those images you don't want don't get shown.

I could see how that would work with one site with their network connections that they make. For it to work across all SY sites not in your network there has to be some global registration somehow that recognizes that they're on a site with the theme installed. I'm not even sure that a global one would be feasible, reliable or safe.

Whatever they've done they've killed my port completely. May has been way below everything in terms of dl's and revenue.
Not feeling the buyers love that's for sure.

I'm in the US and I haven't seen that yet. Does this affect all contributors or just those that are outside the US?

Did anyone notice the "interested in becoming an offset artist? notice on their invitation?
I thought the artists they pick were by invitation only? Or was that just a buyers thing when this first came out?

Yeah I'm on shared hosting right now. The more I keep thinking about it the more I feel I should wait until I can pay for hosting (I know I keep flip flopping). Where I'm at I can pay month to month and probably will pay for one month to see if that resolves the file processing issues. If not, then I'll move to bluehost. @Tinny I have absolutely no access to the php.ini at all looked all over the place and couldn't find it. Even the place where it says to configure php didn't have anything it that would help. I know I'm such a pain

I had more time to think about it and think it's the max_execution_time that's messing with things. I found a bit of code but have no idea where to implement it without messing with the core files.
ini_set('max_execution_time', 600); //600 seconds = 10 minutes (I won't set it that high though)
I keep reading about .htaccess but it's confusing.
Thanks.

I got the background image to work on the child theme but the main nav stuck out to the side when I used the css Reef posted earlier. That made the background white but the navigation stuck out to the left and the content underneath needed more white space on the left. I couldn't figure out which css code changed the padding.
Right now I'm good. I'll stick to the plan that I had with the vines then the white space to the right to add a little interest to the page. The only thing right now I can't find and change is the blue link color on my recent post widget. That and I need to put my logo where it needs to go. I edited a core file as well and need to remember which one(s) that was so I can copy them over to the child theme.
