I like Mojave, and this is the only issue I've come across so far. I will learn to live with it :)

Thanks Chichikov,

I've tried all of the above but it doesn't work :(

I guess I'll have to get used to a different workflow.

Thanks for posting these. Small ports with great variety of subjects, styles and locations certainly has all the hallmarks of stolen work.

I didn't see anything of mine, but it'd be good if someone who is an owner can complain to SS so these scumbags can have their portfolios removed. I wish they'd let third party reports be considered (it'd be easy enough for them to check it out if they actually gave a toss...)

Agreed Jo Ann,

They have the technology, as these were all spotted by just clicking around the 'similars'. I have seen them removing some portfolios recently, so they obviously are investigating reports behind the scenes. I guess all we can do is publicise our finds and hope that they take action quickly.

It just gets worse :(

Clicking on another image from the second contributor above, i get a similar hit from yet another contributor.

This:

https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/grilled-meat-on-dinner-1138138988?src=uC-RhHYOgDgT8MvkiO2dVg-1-0

is taken from here:

https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/food-nd-drinks-fruits-1049190053?src=Si8QRV_HkHQdTTGVCs1rNA-1-3

The third contributor has one of those odd mix portfolios, from crap to stunning! One really caught my eye as the Mac os Sierra image!

https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/nature-mountains-real-1049191538?src=Si8QRV_HkHQdTTGVCs1rNA-1-13

And that brings up similars, so he's not alone in trying to sell the Mac photo!

Go figure.....

......if this wasn't so sad I'd have a good laugh

I was just reading a post on Shutterstock about a suspected image thief, and started poking around his portfolio to see if I recognised anything.

Clicking on a random image showed similars, and it looks as if he took this image and flipped it

https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/beautiful-waterfall-1268058418

from this contributor:

https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/beautiful-waterfall-landscape-1138139069

The second contributor suspiciously had a couple of pages of very nice images with very poor titles, as if he didn't actually know where the location was, so I clicked on one of his images and he'd also taken an image from another contributor and flipped it.

This images was taken

from here:

And this one:

from here:

Please check both of these ports and see if they contain any of your images

Thanks Chichikov,

I tried that, but it literally pastes the first keywords and adds '40 more'! I can get them by opening the inspector, but it's just a nuisance to change habits. I was hoping it would be a hidden setting somewhere and I could just flick a switch.

I appreciate your suggestion anyway, and Happy New Year to you,

Kat

Software / Mac Mojave problem with keywords.
« on: December 29, 2018, 09:44 »
I recently updated my Mac to Mojave and I'm now having a problem seeing all my keywords for a file.

I used to be able to right click an image and 'Get Info', which meant I could easily copy and paste keywords if I wanted the same set for a new image. Now I find the window is only showing me the first 8-10 words then saying 'and 40 more'. I can see those words if I hover over, but I can't copy and paste the selection.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

« on: December 29, 2018, 05:59 »
I just tried uploading with the new Adobe interface, and I like it very much. However, I cannot set the price for the ELs as I can on the Fotolia page from 30-100.

Mat, I know you have said in the past that we can write in and get this changed, but are we to write in every time we make a submission, or are you going to allow us to set a default amount somewhere?

I'm getting a 'sync your account now' banner across the top of my Fotolia page with information and a link to 'sync my account'. I'm pretty sure I did this some time back, and can login on the Adobe stock page, so I guess I can ignore this?

Is this just coming up on everyone's page or does it mean that something isn't actually linked?

I echo the others with regard to the interface and weekly position. The weekly rank gives something to focus on and improve, which is great in an industry that often leaves you feeling demotivated.

Yes, I believe the Fotolia message is universal for all accounts. If you have already synced, you can disregard.

We will be adding the overall/weekly position stat to the Adobe Stock Contributor portal as soon as possible.

-Mat

Thanks for confirming, Mat

I can confirm. I've been hacked and my PayPal account got changed. Earnings have gone. I am waiting an answer from the support, i hope to have my earnings back.

Sorry to hear this but have your earnings gone, or are they just reset at the beginning of the month? You cant request a payment - Shutterstock send it automatically  - and the money for last month hasnt been sent out yet I dont think.

So is there any reason that I am still seeing some sales @ 25c?

Is there an option in there somewhere that only pays this or is it an error?

Thanks

Read this thread:

http://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/lowest-commission-on-adobe-now-25-cents/msg516777/#msg516777

Ah, OK - thanks, I understand now.

I guess I found the opening statement and chart on this thread to be a little misleading. It just states that the minimum for Silver contributors is to be 36c from 24th September, following an update to the 'minimum commission structure'. It doesn't make it entirely clear that this minimum doesn't apply to all sales. Fortunately, those 25c sales are only occasional.

I'm glad of the pay rise, so I'm not complaining, just a little surprised that it hasn't been applied across the board.

I just got a download at 25c?

367
I'm also seeing 22 pages, and the first appear to have been upload around April 2017, judging by the image numbers. It looks as if this contributor has been getting away with this for quite some time :(

He was a decent and gentle man. Condolences to the family - he will be very sadly missed.

I will finish this month at the level I was at in 2011 - down over $1000 a month on the heady days of 2013-16.

I guess the last seven years of hard work and uploading has been a total waste where Shutterstock is concerned.

370
Got my code.

Thanks a lot Adobe :)

371
Hopefully mine will come soon too then.  I was already over 300 when they announced this incentive, and have had more than 300 additional approved since then.  I would have thought that would put me near the head of the line?

Of course, no real rush as I have had the cloud photo subscription for years, and this will just tack onto end of the current sub.  Still, will nice to have an extra $120 earned from Adobe, and I'd like to know that it really came and the code didn't get sucked up in some spam bucket I overlooked...

Same - hope it comes soon :)

372
It looks like they fixed the certificate now, and everything is running as normal.

Please ignore my question.

373
Just want to check that it's just an expired certificate and not a problem at my end.

Thanks

374
Nice to have some good news for a change. I qualify already for the photoshop offer, so I will be watching for the email to head my way.

Thanks very much Adobe.

123RF / Re: Do you make $100/month at 123RF?
« on: July 02, 2018, 04:15 »
Used to make over $100 every month, month after month, year after year, but recently sales have crashed and burned. June was my lowest month there since I joined them in 2011 and, unless thing improve, they are on my cull list.
