it seems that they do not care about their own business, or it is a business just to write off taxes or something ....

123RF / Re: How are sales today at 123?
« on: March 29, 2008, 14:21 »
most of 123rf are subs and credit sales at $0.50. 123rf  from all the big 7 they pay the least and also dls are not frequent. When SV, FP or some other site will be in the big 6-7 I am to stop to upload to 123rf. I think the only way we can influence prices is to support the sites that pay more. By uploading to all 10 sites, we encourage some to make money at our expense. Do many people do same two jobs one for $50 an hour and the other for $.50 an hour in hope to earn more? that how we behave by uploading to all the microstock sites.

Mostphotos.com / Re: voting system reaching annoying point
« on: March 29, 2008, 13:52 »
I just checked alexa.com and compete.com for MP. Both sites do not have yet data for MP.
that means that traffic is still very low and that expecting sales (that is more than one sale a month) is premature.

check compete.com. it shows number of visitors. IS is growing, StockXpert is growing, FT is growing, SS is declining.

Computer Hardware / Re: How to speed up Photosohop
« on: March 28, 2008, 09:58 »
i use toshiba laptop with 4GB of memory. no speed problems with CS2 . my problem is the disk space. 80GB disk is not enough, I am using external 500 GB disk for backup, but what needs to be still on the machine uses almost 75 gb and I have to delete files almost every day.

I think I understand Trebuchet. He was not accepted at SS and on his retries was resending to them images approved on failed attempts to be admitted. And again they rejected  some of the previously approved images. But the will power  was strong and he got in ...  :)

iStockPhoto.com / my first Istock achievement
« on: March 27, 2008, 19:07 »
For the first time, today finally the number of downloads is bigger than the size of the portfolio:
224 dls and 223 files.  Next goal is to make it $100 per month. this month will be $80-85.

364
best of all systems is when buyers vote with euros.

it is 3-4 times less with the same portfolio  than FT, IS or DT

Shutterstock.com / Re: slow week at ss
« on: March 27, 2008, 08:33 »
this month is slower for me. the best month was the first one when I uploaded 600 images. I read somewhere that before uploading twice a month was good enough to sustain downloads, but now even once a week is not enough.

367
I like photography, and I do not like uploading if it does not pay.

368
last two batches results: 30 of 32 admitted, 10 out of 11 admitted. I do not know if is due to the complaint I sent to them about 7 out 8 images rejected. No response from support. Glad to be lucky 2 times out of 3 then.

Adobe Stock / Re: Just not worth the effort (for me, anyways)
« on: March 24, 2008, 08:52 »
very strange. I am both new  to photography (a year) and to microstock sites (less then a year). fotolia has accepted 812 of my 1251 photos. for the first few months I had no idea about proper lighting, keywording, or isolation. Still they accepted 150+ images.

I think FT is easy to get images in. I have had strange rejections from them also. I wrote to the support, and that stopped. May be just a coincidence though, they never replied to my complaints. Do not give up on FT, they are doing better and better.
