and you say you're satisfied with them
who said that? shall I pull the very low agencies? we need to compare earnings at the different agencies, thats the real fact! (it is what it is)
they were my 10th best agency in 2011, so why should I stop? unless I quit all agencies beside top 6 who give me around 20% of my income
You did
With figures like that, I finally see where you're coming from but my figures look nothing like yours. On a page I typically have only two or three subscription sales among a mix of mostly Instant sales, a few distribution regular sales and some normal regular sales. If my page looked like yours, I would be a little put off them too but I have to say they've beein doing nicely for me.
exactly! ones do well others not, another example is BigStock! my RPD at CanStockPhoto is close to 1$ which is pretty good, actually it is the 1st or 2nd highest (CanStockPhoto and DT), that said I only have around 15/20 sales per month..
sorry but I was basically talking about RPD

it really depends where you gonna work, if you are going to move a lot better a laptop, if not obviously a desktop, its cheaper and faster

If my calculations are correct, I think it would take me at least 4,500 hours to keyword 90k images with alamy. So that's 100 weeks, doing 45 hours a week. A solid 2 years of doing nothing but keywording. I'm sure some people could do it much quicker. Doing 1 a minute for 8 hours a day, it would take 188 days.
divide that by 2 or 3 because he does have tons of similars, still it is a massive work

Comparing first 11 days of July 2012 to 2011, I'm up more than 200%.
As far as I'm concerned, SS and 123 are the only sites on a great roll these days. Most the other major players are either flat, posting minimal gains or in the toilet.
I was also a big fan of 123RF for years but lately it pretty much sucks, we are over 1/3 of July and I have 6x less than in June and June was like 30% down from May.. doesnt look healthy for me..

Was that 222 up to 711 or 222,000 links to your site? What's the secret? I myself do not understand. Links to a site 220 000. The search is not affected. I do not know what it is. I thought it was a mistake. But the number continues to grow
any sales? selling 21 MP for 3$

Number of links to my site is growing very rapidly - 222 711 Very strange - from one site. Information from Google. Why ?
I believe it is the links from the pages of your website, they are getting indexed

I've never noticed lightboxes make a difference.
I had the same feeling for a while but had many times 3 or 4 files sold for the same buyer, 2 or 3 times had a buyer getting over 15 files

how much time it would take to properly keyword 90K images ??
I would say a lifetime, its a lot of work, I believe he must have his work in a few other agencies, making it more worth

1 - buy a cheap glass to shoot your isolations (you can place the white carton below or drop it) 2 - dont crop your subjects 3 - dont light your subjects from everywhere, try to leave 1/2 shadow(s) only, the coffee picture has like 4 different lights shadows/directions, not very professional 4 - learn first to "light" darker objects 5 - try to surround your object with white/black to avoid unwanted reflections on your subject (like on the coffee)
Did you just do a tut? shame on you!
ooops!

I would carefully read a previous post similar to your question:http://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/5-yr-conttributo-just-sharing-some-experience/ Although it isn't clear all the circumstances in this incident, I think some of the info applies in this case.
Pay attention to what helix7 says in post 19. Although helix7 recently deleted his username here, he is a known to have a large vector port.
I seem to remember several other times where ports were disabled by using brushes/patterns that were not created by the artist selling the work....
exactly! some disabled because of filters too

Back up your files.
apart from the external hd I upload also all my pictures to MostPhotos, there is no review and we can download them anytime we wish for free

What about the workflow? How do you think it's the best? If you shoot or draw everyday, should you upload them in the same day to all websites? Or would it be better to have a special day of the week to dedicate to this?
I have all agencies bookmarked in a firefox folder (I click on the folder and it opens all agencies), most I will FTP and then will submit one by one closing tabs when finished.. there are paid solutions like picworkflow regarding metadata I use xnview (freeware)

folders, no special program, just windows explorer
- 2012 - June - June 8 - NEF - JPG - June 10 - NEF - JPG
if I dont create any new files there are no "June" folders, regarding iStock because of the slots I have other folder saying IS (to know what I have uploaded, DeepMeta keeps it nicely too)
I use sequential file number dsc_XXXX but I have heard that writing little description or title may be good in terms of SEO if you ever plan on building your own website/store etc..

SS going slowly up (the highest RPD was in May 12 with 67 cents, it will continue once I turned 38 cents a few days ago, all time rpd 0.49$) IS down (PP sales are close to 50% the regular income, all time rpd 0.59$ (1494 regular downloads, 3669 pp downloads) FT stable (pretty much the same during the last 15 months, turned silver in Jan 12, all time rpd 0.72$) 123RF stable (jumping from 60 cents to 90 cents since the start, all time rpd 0.77$) DT stable (but higher in the latest 3 months, the only agency that had many times over 1$ RPD, all time rpd 0.84$)

Not that weird. Many who sell well keep things to themselves because they don't want to be copied.
I bet those who tend to complain about $$ are those who have few E+.
honestly I dont understand why so many exclusives report a big drop in sales/downloads, weird!
sure there are many doing just fine but the trend aint positive
For some.
its incredible how can some exclusives still think that iStock is going the right way, wow! thats just crazy IMO! sure everybody is concerned about their own income but seeing other dropping so fast I would be worried too...
