it seems some people got quite high EL sales, I wonder why i got very little percentage of EL sales, like 2-3 % of my overall sales. You guys have idea what usually a buyer need a EL license? could it be most of my portfolio are some vector?

by the way, how do u plot this graph? issit some kind of software? thanks. Looks like I am the first this month - a late evening working on stats has given me the edge (plus it isn't really the end of the month yet!)
I had a great June - easily my best ever. Total earnings came in at around $1750, and I still need to add earnings from Cutcaster and YayMicro which seem to be off the air because of that very bad storm in Northern VA last night. I don't think those two sites will make a great deal of difference though! SS and iStock continue to be very reliable for me, but I sold one image on Veer for $99, and a total of 5 sold on Alamy for a net payment of almost $250. Those made a fantastic difference to the month's totals. Photocase came from nowhere with one sale of $58 this month! I only have 3 images online with that site (all others rejected as being too boring) so it is nice to get an occasional sale there!
More details (and examples of the big sellers) on my blog as usual, but here is the headline graph:

Hi all,
I click the images earnings on bigstock, and it shows history of sales with all different price with 'type' - 'standard photo'.
what standard photo means? will i be able to tell what size it had be sold? is it so as eps vector blah blah..
reason is I want to see if the eps vector selling, since it is hassle to upload to bigstock with eps vector, ftp is not supporting the IPTC, only can do by web interface.
thanks all.

up this old thread, so there is no way to tag IPTC data to video..
how you guys deal video with all the keywords, title and descriptions? just simple copy and paste?
I found sometimes i took few similar video with different texts or something, then i have hard time to identify them with just preview image..

one of the worst contributor user interface, there is no way to check the total balance you can request, no idea what had been downloaded. Any word guys on when the second phase of the site update will happen?

the image rights are asking for $50 for every case, and it will take 50% of whatever it got. I think it may works for RM case. basically if the website hosting company will back up to punish those copyright infringement then that will really bring down all violations, most of the site won't take the risk to get suspended for few days. It doesn't matter if you don't use the PayPal button. That's just a tool that I'll use because my photographer pal seems to be doing okay with it. I may even go a different route and use PayPal's invoicing so that PayPal can see the evidence of the infringement themselves. Requesting payment for goods or services rendered definitely does not go against PayPal's policies. That's what they're there for. I also doubt they would go ahead and close your account. The buyer (infringer) would have to raise a dispute and it would have to be investigated. I've done that several times as a buyer myself.
The point however is getting paid. It doesn't matter how you do it. You can send them to your own site to purchase a license if you have one, or you can send them to your favorite agent. The point is to turn these annoying infringements into cash which would give us an incentive to chase them and educate people about copyright.
We're never going to resolve the issue and it's only going to get worse over time. If we find a ways to find infringements faster and convert a good portion of them into cash, they become easier to swallow. Suddenly, copyright infringements aren't so bad. We may even begin to look forward to them
Another option I found is to use ImageRights.com Probably more handy for RM but it looks interesting. The technology is similar to Tineye and the upside is it's free to use for up to 2000 images. I briefly scanned through it and from what I gathered, you upload your images and as they find potential copyright infringements, they contact you and you decide if they're legit. If not, they chase and recover payment and take a 50% cut. Which isn't too bad if you're looking for something to save you time. The downside is, the images have to be registered for copyright. For someone who already has their images registered, it might be worthwhile. I've seen a few people talking it up on the Alamy forums.
That's probably a good idea.

how is iclipart? never really see people talking of it. Hey everyone,
I am wondering if anyone is submitting their vectors to any new microstock sites? The poll results on the left are a good indication for photos, but I wish their was such a poll or list for vectors.
These are the VECTOR sites I submit to. Do you know of any other sites that accept vectors?
1. Shutterstock 2. iStockphoto 3. Dreamstime 4. Vectorstock 5. iClipart 6. ClipartOf 7. GraphicLeftovers 8. Veer 9. BigStock 10. CanStockPhoto 11. Crestock 12. Deposit Photos 13. Fotolia 14. 123rf 15. YayMicro
I checked out GraphicRiver, but it seemed like too much hassle to upload graphics. I also have thought about selling my vectors on Etsy, but that also seemed like too much work for too little of a reward.
Thanks! ~ Eli

in fotolia
Extended X price range is [10-50], if i set to 50 which is maximum to me, i saw my share is 23% which is 11.5, does it mean I will only get 11.5 for extended license? it is very little.

Hi all,
I know fotolia consider 4 credits sale as 1 download, and will 4 credits sales appear as 1 sale or 4 sales?
on the contributor page, under 'files overview' which showed your latest downloads.
I have 1 file have been downloaded 7 times out of 20 latest downloads, but all the thumbnail display is same number sales.. i can't figure it out, shouldn't the number of sales will be increased?

It seems like the problem, i tried to export as the standard format and it plays well..guess photo size is way to high resolution for video.. I don't go bigger than 1920x1080, the full HD standard. The clip is probably slowing down because your computer can't cope with it.

Hi all,
I tried to create a mov video using quicktime pro, but I found that the video is not smooth (it seems some frames are not showing) when i maintain the original size of image (4288x2848)..it plays smooth when it was smaller size of image.
anyone is willing to share? should i resize it to some standard format? thanks!

why come out with contributor level that's so difficult to understand? so the 1 credits is not equal to $1, where can we see the credits we accumulate?

in order to maintain the same commission in future.. one needs to reach contributor level 5, that's 12 month credit total 5,000 - 19,999, what does it means does it mean I need to have a $5000 for 12 month total minimum?

Hi all, I come across this site that found one of my images was used in their card design. It seems a prints on demand site, I wonder what kind of license it will need? i have never got a extended license on this image. I know one can't download an RF image and use it in zazzle store, how about in this case? the website is http://www.dankeskarte.com/Thanks.

Hi, I tried to use prostockmaster to monitor sales of all sites, but can't figure out how to do it.
it seems to integrate with lightburner.com? but there are sites in lightburner.com which I can't key in my web login.. only ftp login is allowed.
and it seems shutterstock sales will not be shown..then it is pretty much useless.
anyone knows a good tool to check stats? stockperformer is good but limited sites..and there is a cost.

I think you can adjust the watermark location on images..try to look for watermark option in your profile. Hi all,
I have only one sale in May so far but my port is not so big(194 - 3D images and 11 video files). But what is bad for me is that insufficient watermark in my opinion. Recently I've uploaded about 55 new images. All of them are gold and silver jewelry isolated on black background. Then after that my "Profile Views" is growing up rapidly but no sales at all on those new files. But what's more interesting for me that's all sales on other agencies have stopped as well. I would be happy to hear from someone who has isolated on black images on 123rf?
Thank you all in advance.

i tried to purge the cache one time and it takes few hours to generate those thumbnail again.. but the problem comes back.
for hard disk space, is it the disk that adobe install on? or the hard disk i save my final jpg? which hard disk space is more critical?

i plug the portable hard disk to another computer with less RAM.. and run adobe bridge and browser the images and it is smooth.
I wonder what is causing the problem, is it because i am running something together? like lightroom, chrome..
i got 6G ram.. the adobe will become slow when i try to multiple select or right click for 'file info'..
Is it because of multi tasking? or cache of adobe bridge? it seems like no warning or alert..just slow..
