It's not just you.

Reviews may take a long time but that's because Pond5 is a rather successful selling platform for footage which is a good thing.

The guys there are really busy to sell our stuff. Give them time to work through the queue.
I'm sure they know that 3+ weeks for reviews are just too long and work on a solution for that.

Most importantly: They sell frequently and they pay out on time!

Thnx, click.
Regards.

Pond5 / has POND5 support at all?
« on: February 04, 2013, 11:24 »
Before almost 3 weeks I submitted some videos. After 10 days I asked them about approval.
No response.
And no approval after 3 weeks too.

Well known problem or just me....?

For a small pocket, the Sony RX100.  For a bigger pocket, the Sony RX1.  I'd rate the Sony RX1 as the best because that big full frame image can be cropped, so even though it's a fixed lens, it would be like carrying two prime lenses around.  I have the RX100 but want the RX1.

For all the other bigger cameras, I don't see a huge advantage over the small Olympus and Panasonic micro 4/3 cameras.

We know for what  purpose we need pocket size cameras.  :)
Rx1 is for me "camera of the 2012" but 2800 $ ...
How are You satissfied with Rx100?
Stock acceptance  ?

How big are your pockets?  I recently purchased a Fujifilm x100 for exactly that reason.  I wanted a camera with a good sensor (this one is aps-c), good lens which could shoot raw

BHphoto link

My "pockets" are big (and $ deep) enough for Canon EOS M with my Canon pancake ( 40 mm ),  :). On my 5D M2 works pancake excellent.

And Your new camera is excellent. I have tested it in various situation, just brilliant.

So,
I am searching for a shirt-pocket RAW camera with STOCK quality sensor/lens.
Any suggestions?
I have "googlt" a lot, found some models, but for us  "stockers" are important some parameters which are not mentioned in rewievs, tests...
User comments please.

Thnx in advance.

I don't think it is hurting them in the pocket. They don't care if they lose some contributors and some images...there are millions more images and new contributors signing up all the time. I think whatever deal they made with Google is going to put money in their pockets. It's the contributors who continue to do business with them who are going to be hurting in the pockets.

If my sales at IS over the last few days are anything to go by it might already be happening. This week my sales have fallen off a cliff, to literally about one third of what they were during the same week in January 2012. Probably just the normal ebb and flow but I wonder how others are doing?

StockFresh / Re: SF middle tier?
« on: January 30, 2013, 04:40 »
It would be nice if former stockxpert buyers that noticed how annoyed most of us are with istock were going to SF but there's no sign of that happening.  It looks like they're mostly going to SS.  I'd like to see a few sites that pay 50% commission and have good prices for buyers doing better.  Perhaps we have to think of ways to persuade buyers to use them?

AGREE!
+ for Your positive thinking

iStockPhoto.com / IS Earnings Rating ???
« on: January 29, 2013, 07:58 »
We are talking so much about IS, ....

but look at Earnings Rating on right: it is higher and higher...

What is this now ?

Maybe only contributors with crowns do better job?

I am in contact with some friends (IS non exclusive contributors) and almost all have in last 10 days slower sells.

New best match?  Oriented on IS exclusives maybe ?

Focus is fixed... now it is poor lighting.... 8)

Just had a batch rejected for poor lighting.... oh well

No, it is not !

ONE CLICK on Your (or my) batch and voila, You are rejected because " focus is not located where we feel it works best".
Not WE, but HE/SHE...
 ;)
And yes, two days before a batch of similar (but different) photos was accepted 100 %.

If we really want that this action will bring any success, we must inform media !
Maybe then will buyers start to ask themselves, if is worth to do business with such a company..
Not all, but honest fair thinking customers...

20.000, 30.000 deleted pics among 20, 30 millions are smal stone in mosaick, but this mosaick will be from day to day bigger!!!

Just my 5 c
