« on: October 06, 2008, 13:36 »
I will do that tomorow. ISO steps are: 100, 125, 160, 200, 250, 320, 400, 500, 640, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3200, hi-iso 6400, hi-iso 12800. which is very cool! LCD has 960.000 pixels (comparing to old 40D and others with only 240.000 pixels) so image is incredibly sharp! Unbelieveable! I am still reading user manual (270 pages lol) to learn all capabilities, bit it is very similar like my old 400D, but eos 400D (XTi) is a toy comparing to this 50D! (I imagine what machine must be 5D!). I love this camera so much, I would sleep with it, but I am afraid it can drop off the bed at night and break

EF mount. LOL Description (revised) Item Specifics - Camera Lenses Camera Technology: -- Maximum Aperture: -- For Camera Type: SLR Focus Type: Manual Lens Type: Extreme telephoto To Fit Camera Brand: Canon Condition: Used Lens Brand: Canon Item Specifics - Telescopes Condition: Used
This is a very rare Canon 5200mm photographic lens - possibly one of only three ever built. THE largest & most powerful prime lens ever created for dedicated SLR use. Built in Japan it was purchased by a Chinese company & shipped to China where it has since had little use & is now for sale. The optics appear in perfect condition. It is my understanding that a customized SLR/DSLR/EF mount can be created/included by the team of optical engineers who presently look after the lens. Due to its large size, it may be better suited to astronomy applications. It takes two people to lift the lens. It could also be mounted on a customized truck or SUV. A large geared or motorized support head would be needed to get the most out it. The magnification of this lens is truly staggering. If mounted to a Canon XL series video camera for example, a reach of 1000x optical (at least) would be possible (approx 37,500mm). The lens could also be mounted to HD & cine cameras. Tracking the space shuttle would not be a problem. Perhaps it's already been used for that purpose? - (Did I just say that??!) Manual focus of course. Yes rear drop-in filters can be used. With so few ever built Canon spent "squillions" on the R&D, not to mention the manufacturer of this lens. Original cost price?? - don't even ask!! In all seriousness I can't be accurate. The Canon factory picture shows the lens mounted to an SLR camera (circled in red) - this will further give you an idea of it's size.
For all those out there with a big collection especially Canon 1200mm EF F5.6 owners, this has got to be the ultimate lens for your collection - quite simply it's incomplete without it.
At present the lens is in China & I am selling it on behalf of the current owners. That's me in the picture - I am currently in Australia. The view scopes mentioned in the Canon information (below) are not included/available. The EBay auction states the lens is in the USA, but that is not the case - I have had to put down my a US address because the EBay auction site seems to have trouble with Chinese postcodes - much to my dismay.
Shipping is not included in the final sale price. Estimate shipping a medium size fridge.. All serious bidders MUST contact me prior to bidding. Bids placed without contacting me first will be removed. I will not ship to Italy, Russia or any South East Asian or African country.
I have the right to cancel this auction at any time if it's taken over by nutters, spammers & time wasters or if it's sold elsewhere. I am negotiable. Any other questions please feel free to contact me.
Will Ship World Wide

because I am ashamed of my photographs, I am bad photographer, and my images are ugly.

I noticed something:
since I became bronze canister, I dont get rejections for artifacting, or some microscopic error reasons. I get about 100% accepted now, and I dint change anything in my technique since I was not bronze, and I was getting pretty much "artifacting at full size" rejections before.

for some reason I was not able to pay via paypal for my camrera, PP gave me this explanation: Dear <Peter>,
Thank you for contacting PayPal.
<Peter>, I apologize for any inconvenience it has caused you. I understand you want to complete the payment but unable to. Let me assist you.
Upon careful review of you PayPal Account I see that it is because of PayPal's Security System that is not letting you complete the payment. In fact you have unlimited sending limit for you were able to verify your PayPal account.
To provide one of the safest online payment services, PayPal reviews every transaction before it is approved, and occasionally, we must limit funding options or decline a payment. These decisions consider every aspect of the transaction, including the merchant's settings and PayPal's statistical models. From time to time, these complex security measures may affect some accounts in good standing. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Note: I hope you understand that as much as I want the payment to push through I cannot. Unfortunately I cannot override the system. What I would suggest is to try it on a later time or you may use other payment method outside PayPal. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.
We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter, and wish you continued success on PayPal.
Sincerely, Jho PayPal, an eBay Company
So I ordered the EOS 50D from a local store at price 1800$, and I expect it in 3-7 days. It is a little more expensive, but I have waranty near my place, and not gambling with custom fees. I ordered from ebay this wireless shutter release, and one more battery
