Well that's an early arrival. Second best month with an RPD of $2.08 for photos and video combined.
Considering about 112 video licences sold in May (and 30+ images) it's really not a great result overall. Would think video sales would bring up the RPD more.

What a cool Pond, how well he sells...

Overall May was not a bad month considering a couple of agencies turned slow. May is third best month so far in 2023. Pleasing to see Adobe Stock performing really well and has now left Pond5 in its dust trail.

Seems as if Adobe Stock is successfully gaining customers from other agencies. I cannot believe how dead Shutterstock went this past week (and Pond5 no better) and struggling for most of this month and yet Adobe Stock has been powering on. The attached from 26 May 2023 shows what you can earn in one day with a couple of decent video sales. I've also been reporting Adobe Stock was at the bottom of the four main agencies I contribute to for YTD earnings. Adobe has now passed ahead of Pond5 (YTD) and tracking to pass iStock - less iStock picks up.

And maybe there's been a drop in uploads and now realising they're missing new quality content that is going to other sites like Adobe that treat their contributors better

RPD was $1.55 for images and videos combined. Earnings down to just 42% of last month's record earnings. Still was sixth best overall.

I had applied to become an author to upload to VideoHive but something went wrong with my account that they weren't able to or didn't want to fix. Looks like a favour in hiding, glad it never happened now.

Over 30 days now without one sale. This is a first in a very long time. Looks like Shutterstock's controlled Pond5 is now in death throes.
Yeah, I had 4 sales in April followed by those Dataset and Partner earnings - and then nothing ! Maybe it was those dataset earnings that were the kiss of death???
Annie, have you any sales since? I am now full zero sales across more than a month now the dataset earnings have moved off the timeline chart. This is the worst I've seen Pond 5 in months, probably even a couple of years when my port was so much smaller. This is the reason why I would never go exclusive anywhere, especially Pond5. ETA finally a sale come in today with a commission of $21.60. It's a long time between sales though.

Exactly what happened to me too Annie. Interesting you have had the same result I have. 👍

Yes to whatever works for the individual contributor. Even 100 percent royalty is 0 if there's 0 sales for the month which is now what's happening here.

@blvdone how are video sales on Pond5 going? I was getting around 2 sales a week and now haven't seen one sale since April 7, almost 30 days ago.

I got paid the correct amount this morning for last month but May 2nd is still showing $200 over what the earnings say it should.
Definitely a bug.
Scroll to the right of your earnings summary and check if the extra $200 is reported in the Contributor Fund column.

Maybe investors are privy to earnings data which is sinking faster than the RMS Lusitania.

I'm showing +$200 on May 2nd and had opted out of AI as soon as the option came available.
Not convinced this isn't a bug with some of the previous month's earnings not being reset.
Gnirt how's things going with MS... haven't seen you post much at all lately?

Is it only me who didn't get nothing ?
There's a couple of people on the Facebook page who reported had got nothing. Then there is another who reported $300 so probably varies a lot across contributor portfolios.

I was hoping it was a bug delaying bigger commission downloads because all I've seen this month is 2 x $1 video and 7 x 10 cent stills - complete rubbish.

Yes just noticed this about 15 minutes ago.
$43.70 discrepancy.
This sort of system reporting issue has happened before.

If the other 3 billion people on the planet without internet access can ever get online, then even just 0.1 percent (3 million) of these new users who become customers and consumers of stock imagery will boost contributor earnings substantially imho.

April 2023 was second-best month so far this year despite a painfully slow last-week of the month. The three attachments should tell the remaining story...

Pond5 gone dead for me. Last sale was on 7 April.
Anyone else see a drop off in sales?

Reviews (at least for video) can be very fast on Shutterstock. Like in a matter of minutes sometimes. But makes me think if significant numbers of contributors have reduced their uploads or stopped uploading altogether.

I used to be a very happy istock exclusive.
But those days are gone forever.
Mind you, many of my friends still are exclusive and still making decent money. Luis just gave up his day job to only do getty/istock as full time income.
So, the proposals mentioned above, should Getty follow these suggestions? Will it improve their business?
eta: as for money, why dont you take those lucrative assignments they are offering you?
That would give you a stable income, even if ai steals all the stock business.
Luka Azman (who has a YouTube channel by his name) is also exclusive and I understand does very well with it. He has an awesome portfolio of photos and videos.

Another BME for iStock... which exceeded the last BME by 52%. This is what happens when you video count goes from barely 100 to over 980 (soon to pass 1000) over the last 18 months of uploading. RPD was $2.91 for images and video combined. iStock is at the top of the main four agencies for the current month so far - albeit brought forward from March.
