On a happy note my VideoBlocks income is only a couple of hundred dollars off from my iStock/Getty income combined in Sept.

They are not the only agency who dose this. The split is fair and I am happy for the new opportunity for money! I looked over the new agreement and all looks in order to me. Happy to see Pond5 offer what Getty dose to attract more large buyers!

This is the pot calling the kettle black for sure but still worth signing. Video is good to share as well.

Regardless how you feel about Getty you need to sign this and share the video!

Can you expand on "Selling Preferences" and price setting?

I have sold 4 4k clips over the past 2 months. I don't have a ton but subject matter is still king!

Just getting my entire video port online there now. If any company in this business can pull off a good stock site Adobe has that chance!

on Adobe Stock you can work on the watermarked image in photoshop and with one click the mark will disappear upon purchase. Dose the SS app have the same process?

I did say I don't know the market for them and yes this footage has an edgy type feel and I can see it used in ads. Stocksy is a lot smarter then me at marketing. Hope to grow and learn more!

There is a place for all work. I do find the standards confusing there. There is a market for that work so no need to bash the artist. It just seemed to not fit what I thought they would be looking for. I don't see 4K which is no big deal. Pricing is fair so maybe I will submit there one day. Maybe not. For video P5 pays 50% as well and has a much larger collection. Interesting times

yes you still have to add those and I add releases on site as well. It is quite easy to do and going the csv route has saved me hours of work!

After keywording in P5 I then dl the csv I then add or delete as per any other agency. For SS just change the colum to "Filename" On P5 it is "originalfilename" then I deleted all colums except for title and keywords and you are done. Other agencies are different but same process. CSV file is ready as soon as you are done keywording clips do not have to be inspected in order to get csv file.

I upload to P5, do all my keywording on P5 then like above I download the created CSV file for other sites. editing the CSV is super easy. So I only have to keyword once.

The business model is to get subscribers not to make video sales. That is where they make money and where they focus their advertising. Look at it as amazon prime for video. I am happy that the pricing is good for the artist and like it or not I think they have the best chance at the fastest growth.

Thank-you for taking your time to post this. I shoot mostly video but I can assume it is pretty much the same on that side as well. I shoot stock for a living and have slowed my work down in order to produce higher and higher quality! This also points out our weakness in keywording as I am not always specific in my descriptions. Thanks for the reminder that there is still a lot of room in the market for better work!

That is not true, no one has yanked me around more then iStock/Getty for my video clips!!! I often get over 50% Premium Ass. sales which are mostly $1-5 for my HD and 4K!! Pond5, VB, Fotolia and SS has never done that to me! I notice in the middle of last year my sales started to drop to the point I could not continue, it didn't matter what I shot my income would barley go up. Well I had a suspicion that the advantage for exclusive in search for video was gone. I can now state that is a FACT! My dl's since going non-exclusive have not gone down! Now I am happy about that at this point so no complaints from me, but there is no search advantage for exclusive video artist anymore! Other places just sell my work for a set price and focus on advertising and finding new markets. Novel idea I say!!

For images iStock is no worse then anyone else. I dropped my video exclusive and yes that has paid off to be non-exclusive in video!!! SS is the one to blame for the low photo prices! I at least get 0.75 for subs on iStock and remain image exclusive there. They all try to play games at some point. I am doing more and more custom work outside of stock. There will always be a market for good work so that is what I care about!

Amazing work, I would suggest "Stocksy" You need to either do that or advertise and sell on your own. Don't take just dimes!!
