If no. I cant upload to SV as I cant use batch upload and one by one upload is painfull

If you use the script available from the PTWiki site (http://photoTechniquesWiki.com), you can easily attach it to an action or droplet and then it's dead easy to create an upsized copy of your image at precisely 48MB.
I have an action which runs the script then saves the resultant upsized image in a 'submit to Alamy' folder. I have created a droplet from this action. Then when I have a batch of images ready, I just drag them (or the folder that contains them) to the droplet and photoshop does the rest for me - I end up with a folder ready to upload to Alamy. Job done

Tampoco aspiro a poder vivir de esto, o por lo menos a corto o medio plazo. Sobre todo porque tendra que multiplicar por 30 mis actuales ingresos mensuales en el microstock para igualar los ingresos de mi profesion, que ademas, me deja tiempo libre. Que tendra que hacer para multiplicar por 30 los ingresos del micro? Si nos fijamos en los top members, emplear ms tiempo en hacer fotos, editarlas y subirlas, contratar modelos, etc. Algunos como Iofoto, como sabeis, tiene empleados o subcontratados en los que delega ciertas tareas. Pero mejorara mi calidad de vida? No creo porque en este momento disfruto de la fotografa como hobby. Si mis alubias dependieran de ello y estara dia y noche haciendo fotos, editandolas, subiendolas... igual dejara de disfrutar tanto. Pero esto no quiere decir que me d igual que nos reduzcan la comisin por las subscripciones, o que rechacen mis fotografias por razones estupidas, etc. Cualquier intento de unir a los contribuidores o promover acciones que los beneficien est, por la propia naturaleza del mercado de microstock, condenada al fracaso. Lo que yo intento hacer es tomar mis propias decisiones y hacer lo que creo que me beneficia a mi. En el fondo, esa es la esencia del capitalismo: el egosmo individual favorece el beneficio colectivo.
Estoy de acuerdo pero no totalmente. Los usuarios de este foro, por ejemplo, somos competencia, no hay duda, pero no enemigos. Mi profesin me ha enseado que la competencia te puede fastidiar operaciones puntuales y viceversa, pero hay algo que siempre se mantiene constante a lo largo del tiempo, lo ms importante, cuando el mercado va bien, va bien para todos pero cuando va mal, por buen fotografo que seas lo pasars mal.

Puedes corrigir my espol si est muy malo.
Tranquila se entiende perfectamente Mi mayor cantidad de dls es en SS, pero tambien tengo alli la mayor cantidad de fotos. Algo que si me llama la atencion es que 123rf mucha gente dice que vende bien, tengo mas de 550 fotos alli y las ventas son pesimas, mucho menos que en IS donde tengo la mitad de fotos
A eso me refiero exctamente. 123rf es mi segundo en ganancia y para otros no funciona o funciona mal. Creo que en parte teneis razn en el tipo de foto pero, si hago un ranking de mis mejores 10 fotos, al menos 5 se repiten en el 70% de los sitios (aprox). Y esto se puede comprobar mirando los portfolios de la gente del foro. De todas formas tiene ms valor la opinion de los que teneis portfolios mas grandes, el mio todavia es pequeito

My point is that I think we should focus on more specific subjects (even though I also voted in the more generic ones).
For instance, instead of technology we could have, besides the existing "communications", "computers", "science", "engineering". Instead of "food" we could have "fruits", "vegetables", "chocolate", "desserts", "drinks".
I think this would be better even if each of us doesn't fill the five images quota.
We could also make a rule not to repeat an image in a new lightbox. So even if we keep "technology" wide as proposed, images used in "communications" would be out. But that would require people's commitment not to simply delete the banner but stay in the lightbox.

First of all sorry for my english (so no comments about spelling... Dont you think this industry is going worse for us? Subscriptions, search engines, long upload process... Sometimes I think that for some sites, we are enemies. If we complain as the recent example of fotolia, do we get something? 100 or 200 guys stop uploading make the diference? I imagine them laughing in front of the monitor. Sometimes a top member raises the voice and they pay attention. As these things happens our earinings decrease (or perhaps increase but investing more time and money than the necessary, so decrease) But will the sites hear someone with a portfolio 500.000 images? If that person say that it is not healthy for his business to get paid 0,25 usd per image and threaten the sites with moving his portfolio or, why not? creating its own microstock site... will the sites react? That person can have big power to negotiate. That person can represent other peoples portfolios. For example how much images do we have here at msg? 1478 members x average portfolio... Im sure that Leaf has the way to calculate dreamstime (for example) portfolios of the members  Does World Stock Photographers Association (WSPA) exists? It is just a thought PS: dont know how it sound... Why dont you all learn spanish???

yeah that is probably true....
we could still use more helpers to add images to the lightboxes next week... if anyone is interested. We could use 4 more without a problem.
Well, I only selected the ones that had direct relation with communication and leave a computer, a mouse, a chip... for "technology"

Aprovecho este rincn en el que puedo expresarme ms agusto para hacer un par de reflexiones sobre lo que veo ultimamente. No llevo mucho tiempo en esto pero he sacado una conclusin. Siempre nos quejamos de que las ventas son bajas, que tal mes ha sido malo y el siguiente peor. Crea que quejarse era una caracteristica espaola pero veo que se ha extendido a todo el mundo Tambin creo que es cierto que unos sitios funcionan mejor para unos que para otros y es algo que no acabo de entender. Como puede BigStock ser el segundo en ganancia para unos y para otros (para mi por ejemplo) el noveno? Cuando esto se repite un mes tras otro, la estadisitica dice que no puede ser casualidad. La nica respuesta que se me ocurre es que los sitios favorezcan unos portfolios ante otros (conscientemente o no), bien por el pas del fotografo, su antiguedad... o podra ser que unos tipos de keywording van mejor para algunos sitios y peor para otros? Si hay otras opiniones me gustar saberlas. Y luego el tema de las subscripciones... El caso Ft ha sido lo peor que he visto en la industria hasta el momento (tampoco me puedo esperar algo mejor de el sitio que, para mi, peor trata a sus fotografos, por lo menos el sitio de mi pas). Podra escribir un libro con mi experiencia en este sitio, desde el trato con el "soporte tecnico", el motor de busqueda, la migracion al v2 , el proceso de edicion de datos... Esta tendencia a reducir las ganancias del fotografo deja claro que para la mayora de los sitios, nosotros significamos poco. Nosotros tendremos que esforzarnos en sacar mas y mejores fotos para ganar lo mismo. No nos engaemos, aunque bajen los precios mediante la subscripcion, se van a vender las mismas fotos (los que necesitamos el coche para trabajar, usaremos los mismos litros de gasoil, cueste 0,90 o 1,50 el litro). O pensais que Fotolia va a convertirse en un shutterstock (en cuanto a numero de descargas) por tener la comisin mas baja del mercado? Opiniones al respecto. Quiz los que, como yo, nos tomamos esto como un hobby, invirtiendo en equipo, modelos, un estudio, ayudantes y lo ms importante: tiempo, podiamos hacer de esto una profesin pero sinceramente, no veo un horizonte claro, parece todo muy voluble. Bueno no me hagais mucho caso, me apeteca escribir algunas divagaciones

i uploaded 6 images in january and almost forgot about them. in the first days of may i received an email from alamy support apologizing for a delay they were having with the payments by check (what payment? ), so i went see and found i had a sale in february! (got ~USD280!!). with only 6 (yes, six) images!!! i guess i was lucky.
