... Don't upload anything directly to theme folders. It will be gone when you update!
Thanks. I will do my homework now...

Leo, I see that you apparently uploaded a new version of Symbiostock today.
Can I simply copy this over the old version and expect everything to be ok?
Thanks for pointing out the \' problem. Its an easy fix.
Yes, delete theme...re-upload theme. All of your settings and data will remain safe.
Is overwriting an option as I have uploaded some custom logos etc. into the theme folders I guess my behavior should be punished with 10 slaps on the fingers using a bundle of Ethernet cables...

I found a small bug I guess:
When I try to write some text into the "Customer Area Greeting" on the "settings page" of Symbiostock it won't save apostrophes properly.
The final result adds a \ in front of the '
So it's impossible to write "don't" -> it will look like "don\'t"

Your right! The area where you set prices and stuff should have default size values that can be changed. I don't think thats a big change to be honest with you. Could probly have it in a few days.
That would be wonderful to create our own levels - which may a b!tch to code I would imagine... But you can do it

Panoramic images will get a funky looking watermark since the watermark won't resize. It just sits on the bottom of the image, regardless of being cut off. Well that's what's happening in my case since I decided to create a square watermark utilizing the entire watermark area.
It might be some tedious work to program an automatic watermark resize for different aspect ratios or I just have to reduce my watermark size/aspect ratio.
Not really hard - right now the watermark just *splats* dead center. BTW - did you change your watermark ok or are you using the S default one? I can make different watermarking options in the future.
I created my own watermark in the maximum pixel dimensions that you posted in the settings section. I guess I could just make it in a 4x2 aspect ration to avoid that problem for now but then it won't cover that much of an area for portrait oriented images... Once the images are being watermarked, there is no going back right? I would have to re-upload them in order to apply a new watermark or even if you implement a script for watermark resizing?

I just tried to add my own End User License Agreement but I must be doing something wrong. I added my text to the page that is installed by default. http://xyz112233.com/end-user-license-agreement/ - saved and working if I access it directly. Then in the Symbiostock settings at the bottom there is a field for: See License Link: I enter that URL into the field and try to save it but it won't save. So whenever I look at an image and want to click on the End User License Agreement link, it just reloads the image page instead of directing me to the agreement page. Am I missing something?

Bugs reports belong here: http://www.microstockgroup.com/symbiostock-technical-support/symbiostock-test-build-the-bug-stomping-thread!/ These are no high-priority issues more like, well, wishlists of what could be added/corrected to improve the Symbiostock experience. 1. I'd love to see the images centered on the "product" page. Doesn't really bother me when the image is landscape but don't like it too much when it's vertical. 2. I have no problems giving you and everyone else you mentioned credit to this release but is it possible to add a copyright line to the footer using the admin's name just to emphasize ownership of the content? 3. Could the search function be customized to only search images. If someone wants to use the site just as stock site without any type of blog, it would reduce the clutter a little otherwise the design is nice and clean - don't get me wrong). Those are my current wishes

This might be user error...
When going to the image categories at http://stompstock.com/?page_id=9
I get a 404 when trying to go to any category, including those that have content.
I don't have this problem with my installation, no matter if I select a category that has no or some pictures in it. Try Leo's suggestion.

I watched the first 7 videos you provided and set up my Symbiostock version with no problems whatsoever. I already uploaded one image, made price adjustments etc. - everything works really nice. I know there will be some bugs lingering along the way but this is miles better than anything I've ever tested on Wordpress. Super duper!

I just installed the Symbiostock theme and everything went smoothly. Nice.
I will start fuzzing with it and see what stands out and report it here.
Good job and thanks for your efforts!

It's late here now, so I won't be installing it today but I sure can't wait until I wake up tomorrow to get this going!

click_click I was wrong. PNG is available at any size (and is transparent if you upload that way).
PNG does not have a special pricing system, but the pricing system gives a flat rate of amount-per-size at upload.
You can follow it up and set special PNG prices after upload though.
Sounds terrific!

Darn pulled up stocksy.com and was re-directed to instagram
I guess that retro, semi cross processed, faded, 1970's look is in... Again??
Not again... Still! You see, if you cross-process your images you become a true artist and hence your images are worth more.

Hi everyone I forgot to mention the theme itself is at bare bones minimum for testing and add to that the demo you see there is a fresh install of wordpress and the theme...so it looks a little blah. I hope to release it today with a small startup tutorial. Regarding png price yes png can be uploaded if transparency option is desired and if you upload named jpeg it will take meta from jpg to create page info. Pricing for png right now is based on large but I can change that soon. It also generates transp preview. Png only available as large.
Perfect!

Videos look great.
I probably missed something and of course I don't want to to dump more work on you but I couldn't see pricing options for png files.
Would I just have to use the vector pricing for png files? Or did your example just not contain a png version and was therefore not listed?
I think you mentioned the system would generate all file types automatically as long as the file name is the same. Is that correct? Will png then show up if it has been uploaded as well?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and interrupting your workflow...

Just send a DMCA to the ISP of VS if you find blatant infringement
What or who is VS?
Vectorstock
Thanks, it's getting a little much with all the abbreviations... Especially if one is not submitting to them.

Anyone can make a video. Let's see some details.
True but I dare to assume that Jon knows very well what he is doing with "this video". I'm sure it's part of a campaign to first create a buzz and brand awareness. They use the homepage to measure the interestingness (is that even a word?) and go fishing for interested submitters who might also not be SS contributors yet but deserve a look at their content. This might take a while until it's up and running (mostly gathering content I would think) but this is the first step...
