Nice logo for a new stock site. :)

"Heigh protection of personal information;"  :D  ::)
Although my knowledge of the Swiss language degraded a bit lately, it doesn't sound like a typo a native Swiss speaker would make.  ;) In case of litigation, does anybody have experience with Moldovian lawyers? Could they be bribed with Swiss cheese made in Xi'ang?  :P

I'm going to be based in Bangkok for probably the next 12 months or so, and spending some time traveling from here around the region
I'm in the Southern Philippines till April. Feel free to hop over any time.

I prefer Agatha Christie for a good mystery story. At least you have to wait till the last pages to know who did it. ;)
PS - Do you work for them, Igor?  :P

A year ago we had a leak of information. It is a complete anti-advertising, to which we have no relationship, although it was about us.
Yes it was, and it was by me. I just like to leak.  :P
You were hosted then in Moldavia, piggybacking on the fame of the "Swiss" brand name. You had hidden all your WHOIS info. There still is no real business info on your site but you made some progress hosting your site physically in Switzerland. To be trustworthy in business, more will be needed, alas, than changing the physical location of the server and putting Swiss flags all over the landing page.  ;)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Audio stock recommendations
« on: October 17, 2010, 04:19 »
may i know what tool u guys use to record a good quality audio?
I usually rent the London Philharmonic for a day.  ::)
PS - Ivan described his workflow in detail a while ago. It's not "recorded" but sampled, except for the real vocal lines. The only thing you need is a good program and a keyboard (not the one with the letters, but with the funny black and white sticks).

It's tough to make an honest buck when the monetary foundation of the entire economy is dishonest.
I've been saying that a while now! It's nice to see someone else sees this too. :)
After Wilson 100 yearish ago allowed that private banks can print 10x more money than they actually have, the monetary system, not based on value but on debt, was doomed. I thought everybody saw Zeitgeist by now, starring the Federal Reserve as the House of Horrors.

"RFStocks is a microstock website that sells the photos and illustrations of a single artist."
There is a plugin so you can have several contributors on one site.
It led me to thinking that the industry should be ripe for very specialized stock sites.
I have been talking about this for a while here in private about a similar site that should carry only un-microstockish editorial in a certain niche, but coming above the Google noise is almost impossible. You will have to seek the customers in your niche actively.

I decided to use Ktools to create my own microstock site just for curiosities sake. It was fairly easy to implement, but the mysql stuff did spook me a little. Anyway, I was just wondering what you all think of it. I have tested the payment system with Paypal Sandbox, and it seems that everything is working properly. Here is the link if you want to take a look: http://rfstocks.com/
Ktools photostore has always been the best solution, imho. Good choice, although they tend to have that stereotype Ktools look.
Also, sometimes the site seems slow. Then again, maybe it's just me.
You're probably hosting it yourself and in that case, beware that no hosting plans were created equal. Especially the database should be fast. It makes a lot of difference with how much accounts you share one server machine. Some cheaper hosters dare to put 500 accounts on one machine.

FD always love your comments ;-)
Spank spammers and trolls. I have a spare Tomahawk missile in my garage but I'll save that one for the moment I know the exact geopos of HeroTurko.  :P

There was a time I would (it never happened) yell at a person standing on the edge of a roof of a high building: please don't! Now I would just yell: jump, jump!
With just 200 sales on "that" site and 1500 on DT, me thinks things should be obvious.

You're always ahead of the curve, Lisa. As i recall, you were also the first one to call him "troll"  :D
You are not here long enough to know that macrosour and alzheimerhippie are synonyms for troll. Trolls are senile autistics with a leftover ADHD syndrom characterized by a pathetic need for attention compounded by extreme jealousy .

Don't feed the trolls (don't reply to their messages) and they'll just move on to another forum about creationism, evolution, god, atheism, politics or the unbearable lightness of being. This particular specimen has no life, isn't a photographer at at all, so why bother? Ignoramus igitur. If he comes back under another nick, I'll kill the attention sucker with a wooden stick right in his weak spot.  ;D Prolly.

General Stock Discussion / Re: standard rf license template
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:30 »
If you use the template for one client only, of course it's allowed under normal RF. If you"re going to resell (or give away) the template for general use, then and only then you'll need an extended license.

So your total sales from 3 subscription sales are E 0,56.
Woops. 0.186 euro per sub sale? That's 0.25$ at the current rate of 1.3. Do we like 0.25$ sites? I guess I'll call it KittenMedia.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Next site to go under?
« on: October 10, 2010, 08:52 »
Yeah, what is the big deal there? Saw the station23 blog too with all the agency bashing. What's the point.
The chap had 4 sales on DT in 3 years. Paulie gave a good and honest advice. Deleting a port (on FP)  wastes all the reviewer's time and money. Of course you can't come back then as if nothing happened.

Elena is a tough woman since she programs/manages the site virtually alone. I don't think FP will go under soon. I never had any problem with Elena, on the contrary. As long as she carries on, I will leave my port there, just out of respect and support.

Sidenote: I prefer wineblogs over whineblogs.  :D

Would probably be useful to mention that its basically useless unless you donate $3 to your cause, whatever that may be, and whoever you are.
Ah. I thought it was free since he didn't mention any payment in the OP. Well I'm sorry but I don't send money to an anonymous business(?) that has no name and street address. It's a matter of security since plugins can do hidden things on your SS account. I also won't install Chrome.
