Luis, that was a bug yesterday which is fixed and the sales that were made in this time will be corrected into the according tax statuses. Please check and confirm, that it has been fixed on your account as well.
Bug is Back. I have 9 cents deducted from 30 cents - it should be 0.

Does anybody know how exactly is rank calculated? At Fotolia it's clear - subscription sales are equal to 1/4 of a download but I can't find any similar info on Deposit. Thanks.

I don't see how PhotoDune will be competitive with the other sites if it only has photos. Buyers that like photos, vectors and illustrations will prefer the sites that have everything. There's no incentive to use Graphic River.
I think the sensible option would be to let us upload everything to PhotoDune and give the buyers more choice. Graphic Leftovers was only for illustrations originally but they took the sensible decision to accept photos.
I agree. It's a little bit unclear for buyers when they have to change site to buy illustrations. I would prefer to have a possibility to upload illustrations including vectors directly to PhotoDune.

<sarcasm> Oh, oh. Here we go again. Someone spouting logic with rational thought, which if left unchecked, would result in the masses thinking for themselves, which would lead to the disintegration of society on a global scale. It must be stopped!!! </sarcasm>
OK. But before I stop thinking - the problem is (in addition to my confused facial expression) that full size of identical image can be sold for 5 USD at PhotoDune or for 2 USD at GraphicRiver; EL for 24 USD at PD or for 30 USD at GL. And no more logic now.

Hi everyone,
This is one area that has been a point of confusion for our review team and we're working at clarifying it for everyone. PhotoDune and GraphicRiver overlap to some extent and we're working at establishing clear guidelines as to what needs to go where (including examples). Once we have this information we will publish it to our public wiki for author reference.
Apologies for the inconveniences here and thanks for your patience.
they do need a few more "reviewers"
We're already working on it.
I have to say that I'm very confused. Some of isolations or photographs of textures were refused although these are photographs. On the other you started to accept illustrations. Wouldn't it be simpler and more logical to upload photographs only to PD and illustrations to GR? I took a look at wiki (probably not updated) that says "Images which are photo-real and are commercially useful as flat .jpeg files may be submitted to PhotoDune, while graphic, vector and 3D-render should generally be submitted to either GraphicRiver or 3dOcean Envato Marketplaces that cater specifically for these types of content. "

Maybe you have already seen this. It should be funny but this situation is so well known to me that it almost made me cry :-)

I'm sorry. As I am not iStocker I didn't know that you have to wait that long to find out how much you made at TS. I hope that it won't change results significantly.

I clicked on the wrong button - brain fart - but I can't fix it. I think polls can allow a vote change - can you do that?
I'm sorry - I can't see this option if I try to edit the poll.

Do we include Thinkstock with Istock?
Yes. Thank you.

Not sure what this poll sets out to discover? Some people earn more or less than other people? That aside your top bracket of $1000 is extremely low, especially for exclusives __ some of them spend more than that on their shoots each month.
I understand that exclusives make much more but I wanted to use same figures that are used in monthly MSG Poll and to found out where in the MSG Poll Results would "iS independents only" or "exclusives only" appear. Well - as for exclusives only - I believe that iS would be still no. 1 in results.

I wonder how would "Microstock Poll Results" look like if iStock would be divided to independents and exclusives. 7.2 vs 4? I'm not iStock contributor but from time to time I have a strange feeling that I should. Actually it's money what makes me happy. But speaking money only - is it worth it? From discussions here it seems that iStock became low earner for independents. Please don't shoot me if you think that this poll is useless.

As I have bad memory, January 1st is for me the best day to stop uploading to some sites. PM is one of hot candidates, especially when they don't want to do anything with their watermarks at the moment.

As for "downloads per image" - it is not bad at all. Unfortunately uploading process is so time-consuming that I have managed to upload only about ten images so far.

You can disable your image (list of your images - edit - disable) and enable it again later.

I understand that popular images are sorted by number of sales, but how many sales does it take to actually appear at all within the popular search results?
All images are in popular search results. But it takes some time - maybe one week sometimes longer from approval for images to appear in popular and relevant search. If you mean first page of popular search - for "Blue Penguin, Trafalgar Square" one sale is enough, for "abstract background" maybe 5 000.

It's good. If you don't mind that average RPD is about 0.35 - 0.4 USD

I agree. I removed few images because of extremely large previews with invisible watermark.

Something had to change at BigStock. I'm on MacOs 10.7 and FTP doesn't work for me when using CyberDuck anymore (last 5 - 7 days). I have installed two days ago FileZilla and it works. Same with Web Uploader - FireFox doesn't work for me now - week ago it did - I came back to Safari and upload to BS works. I don't know what's going on - but try FileZilla and Safari - it really works for me.

I'm contributor of PantherMedia for more than one year. I must admit that this site is so confusing that I have never tried to search my images. I did it today and saw their watermark for a very first time. It is absolutely useless - especially for isolated objects. Was the watermark always the same? I'm not going to upload anymore if it is not changed. http://www.panthermedia.net/?m=4934428
