It's not only the images of people that are getting rejected. I just had an entire batch of 50 or so interior photos rejected. I wondered if they just don't want those kind of images anymore.

Rejections are mostly due to "QUALITY ISSUES", but I don't see any quality difference between the rejected photos and accepted photos of the same themes. So, I'm just confused. Maybe it's just that they already have many photos of the same theme?

Im seeing quite a few. Adobe is kicking SSs @ss to the curb.
Shutterstock's photo revenue is less than 1/20 of AdobeStock's so far this month for me.
Almost the same here. Wow!
Wow!!

Yes, and others just over $1.00 and $1.40 as you mentioned. Adobe Stock has started 2024 really great for me and way in the lead. So far I feel like Adobe is the ONLY site that is rewarding the work I put into microstock.
Oh, good to hear. Is there any policy change on Royalty structure? I wondered if I moved up a ladder based on total number of sales or something. Meanwhile, Shutterstock royalty is back to the lowest tier. lol
The royalty rate remains at 33% of the price paid per asset. The price paid varies based on the plan the customer has committed to.

Yes, I wondered about that too. That means, more customers are buying smaller subscription plan with higher price per photo. That's good for us.

It's nice. I didn't have many $1 or more royalty last year for a photo sale, but this year, I see $1.40 commissions. That resulted in increase of royalty per photo sale by 20-25% it seems. I don't know what changed on Adobe Stock, but it's nice and I like it. Anybody seeing the same thing?

Speaking of Shutterstock, I'm having the worst month of the year and potentially the worst since April 2022. Without those bigger sales, Shutterstock is like an old broken down Ford Cortina.
Same with my SS sales this month. Really dropped off a cliff. For the most part, all my main agencies are down, too, but I guess that's expected at the end of the year. But as you can see in my sales chart, it's puzzling how SS has dropped so far so quickly to the point that other agencies are outselling them, which rarely happened before.

I'm surprised to see Storyblocks outperforming other agencies. Impressive.

What's the average sale price per a video sale on Adobe Stock and Shutterstock these days? Is it like 80-90% video subs?

Why freeware? You got to pay for good stuff. It costs them to create those softwares/plugins that'll help you make money. If it's free, it's POS crap. You get what you paid for.

dall e, stable and firefly
but they are not as good, especially with people.
hoping firefly improves in 2024. would love to use an ethical engine as mymain workhorse.
Just tried Firefly using the same prompts I used on Midjourney, but Firefly images are totally unusable. Adobe has a lot of catching up to do on this.

I still havent used midjourney, For many reasons, one of them is that it puts out an easy to recognize look and I didnt want to have another midjourney port.
But I guess if you do interesting creative stuff other people dont do, it is less of an issue.
And it is really good with people.
We will see.
What do you use if you don't use Midjourney?

Why do these tools seem to have problems with human hands?
I agree. The biggest problem in Midjourney is missing or extra fingers. It's annoying to see good image with missing/extra fingers. I don't submit them.

You are adding great stuff, especially fantastic people content.
I might have to reconsider my position on midjourney.
Thanks!! What do you mean by "position" on midjourney? Subscription plan?

Update. So, I have added 2,500 AI generated photos to my portfolio. That's a little less than 30% of my photo portfolio on Adobe Stock right now. I'm seeing sales increase especially in the last 2 weeks now. I hope this trend will continue. So far so good with AI photos.

Where are you selling your images? I don't see any sales under blvdone on SS?
I'm selling them on the streets. Or sometimes I go door to door to sell my AI stock photos. It's not easy though. Cash only.

With the volume you are uploading you will make a lot more than double. You have a lot of experience and that makes a huge difference to all the newbies just starting out.
Thank you and I hope so!!

It took about 10 years to get 6,500 photos on Adobe Stock, but I already have 1,300 AI photos approved and 2,100 AI photos on review cue in less than 3 months. Efficiency is astonishing. By March or April next year, hopefully I'll have more AI photos on my portfolio than conventional photos.

Thanks!! Just got my 2nd higher price AI photo sale at $3.30 just now!!
As long it works, I'm happy with you and the other 500.000+ AI contributors doing now exactly the same.
Yes, I think it's working for me. My goal is to double my monthly revenue from Adobe Stock by doubling the number of photos by early next year.

You will see double digits, for sure. Maybe not very often, but they are so nice to see. I'm still waiting for a triple digits single gen-AI sale...
Wow. That's nice!!

Good for you, you are happier with that.
For me, working with AI is like
- being limited to stereotypes the AI knows - digging through thousands of images, repairing and preparing the best, like an Indian on an Accord - generating someone elses Art
This can't be compared to photography at all. The skill set you need for photography is much broader, and the results are miles ahead of those that come out of midjourney.
Thanks!! Just got my 2nd higher price AI photo sale at $3.30 just now!!
