The colors aren't agencies - they are the months of the year for the past 4 years. I sometimes report sales per agency, but I submit to 16 or so of the most popular sites that you see on the right in the Poll. I mainly take images - I do have some videos and I keep meaning to do more videos, but so far the earnings are almost all from still photos.

The developer can be reached at [email protected]. He posted this email a few months back in one of the threads on this forum Steve

I'm sure some of the more sour people here will have a hard time accepting that your sales haven't gone down the toilet since 2013 That is true, although I have continued to add new images through these years. The game has changed from one where adding new images translates into increased revenue, into one where new images are needed to keep your earnings at around the same level. If I calculate earnings per online image - which I do from time to time - then my earnings per image are certainly not as high as they used to be. However, with the work I put into it, I am seeing a small but steady increase in earnings over the past 4 years. Steve

It sounds like you are not asking about Stock Submitter, but how to develop your own programs for doing something similar? Perhaps someone will be able to answer that, but I doubt if the developer of Stock Submitter would be willing to share how he developed his application?
Perhaps we are still missing the point of the question?

It still isn't clear. Are you saying that you have uploaded 10 images, say to the Shutterstock website and you need some program to log into Shutterstock and add in metadata to the images that are already on their site and submit the images for review?
If that is the question, then Stock Submitter can do all that, although it starts at the upload process itself rather than expecting you to have done that via some other system or approach.
I find the biggest advantage of Stock Submitter is that step in the process - all the other free systems can be set up to upload images to multiple sites. As far as I know, Stock Submitter is the only one that takes that really important step of logging onto each site in turn and entering the specific information that each site requires to accept the image as a submission. For iStock and Alamy, that is quite complex, and the program does it without any need for manual involvement. As you can tell, I'm definitely sold on this system!

It happens when there is a captcha or similar on the agency website and normally shows the log in page for Fotolia (or Pond5 in my case) and if you directly log in via that pop-up, you are often shown one of those captcha tests that you need to pass manually. So it is a necessary part of getting past the traps that the agencies deploy to stop spam registrations

I agree - look also for opportunities to put yourself in the shots in ways other than a seated back view. A bit more action would help in some cases.

I sometimes have an issue with Pond5 - it is the captcha that catches me out. Sometimes the new window with the Pond5 sign-in just sits there and nothing happens, and sometimes I get the captcha appearing and I can complete that and the program signs in. I think it has also worked when I separately go to Pond5 in a browser window and sign in there. I tend to ignore it and then when it does next log in, it will submit all the previous images. A bit delayed, but nothing lost.

I was surprised this dropped into obscurity so quickly. Did people not click the link because of the Russian URL?

Meeting a celebrity? Well, I'm pleased to make your acquaintance as well! I'm glad you are finding my blog useful - although the articles are obviously in the order that comes to me over time. In a book you do spend more time structuring the "lessons" which might help.
A key thing that I have been saying a few times recently. When you think about a photo, ask yourself - why would someone pay good money for this? What is it about that is of interest to people and how can I make it more interesting and useful to people? How can you see it being used?
If you can't answer those questions, then the chance of that image selling is very poor.

Surely Adobe will fix this soon in LR as they work to integrate their products and Adobe Stock! I also use LR as I need to use those keywords to find my images, and then I use Stock Submitter to create an order that has the first 5 or so keywords as my priority ones. I blogged about the process here: http://www.backyardsilver.com/2017/02/stock-submitter-istock-esp-new-alamy-supertags/As I started using keyword.io to get my initial keywords (which are in the order that they claim are based on sales against that keyword), I start with a sorted order, paste into LR and lose that order, then go into Stock Submitter and put a part of the order back!! Crazy! Come on Adobe - sort this out! Steve

VideoBlocks now accept images from approved photographers. Is there a way to upload and submit images to VideoBlocks from Stock Submitter?

I was only being sensitive with my tongue in my cheek! Yes, that thermostat sells quite nicely and I have to thank Image Brief for the original idea. I also took an image of a bag of ice in response to one of their other briefs a while back. Didn't win that brief, but I have since made $1500 on my bag of ice picture. Total cost to take it - $2 for the bag of ice! I still watch their briefs each day and sometimes submit, and I still find it a source of ideas. Steve

I don't see many people who are buying your claims with no proof except you won't help the competition. What competition if no one cares about your empty tool. Show us something that means something. Wow - what a friendly site we are today! Some one comes along with a free (and useful tool) to generate keywords and quite a lot of other interesting bits that you can use or ignore as you see fit and we hammer them into the ground. Sorry, rjung, on behalf of some other members of the forum Steve
