General Stock Discussion / Re: microstock and royalty-free - the same?!?« on: August 10, 2007, 16:47 »
No, you are not mistaken - you find RF images in Macrostock as well as in Microstock. Microstock has its name from micropayments (I think I read that somewhere in a book about microstock).

Not for me - number of sales went down, second worst month (only month worse was my very first month), but credits were ok (bout average), due to 2EL at the beginning of the month.

I am not serious either, even though I am trying to generate some income from microstock.

For me FT is going well (almost back to April levels which was my best time at FT), istock is stable, but SS is rather slow. We'll see how this will develop, especially since I won't be uploading any pictures the next days (and haven't uploaded much this week either).

General Stock Discussion / Re: Stock photography and % your total income« on: July 02, 2007, 17:09 »
My income fluctuates quite a bit over the year.
Not only the microstock part. So I was trying to estimate an average. But since this is my first year in microstock, it is hard to estimate it well. I am self employed, but not in photography. 440
iStockPhoto.com / Re: Istock increased sales?« on: June 19, 2007, 15:16 »
compared to last week yes, otherwise, not so much compared to the time prior to the latest best match change and the change in the search bar. I think it will be almost what it was before they changed it.

General Stock Discussion / Re: My new idea file and observations« on: May 01, 2007, 17:16 »
I do. Just not the way you do.
I am getting regularly textbook material, since I work as a teacher. Furthermore I buy additional magazines for teaching and look closely at the pics used, the kind of motives needed. Then I write down ideas I get, and possibly sketch the idea. My problem is - finding the time to put the idea into pictures. 448

Adelaide, I've always been interested in visiting Tallin, I hear it is a beautiful city. Also if you get the chance check out the Curonian Spit.
Never been to any of these places, but saw reports about them, looked great... . 449
General - Top Sites / Re: April earnings« on: May 01, 2007, 03:37 »
FT - 62%
IS - 23% SS - 15% (even though I just joined SS in the second half of April) LO - 0% (I leave that account idle) Interesting, even though the number of Dls went down with FT by 20% for me, the income still rose by almost 30%). 450
Adobe Stock / Re: Can this really be true..?« on: April 25, 2007, 01:54 »How an image can be a 'top sales today' image when it has had zero sales is beyond me, but there you are. From what I gather they update these statitistics only once daily, so the sales you see with the bestsellers, are those they had previously, not including the sales the picture made that day. |
