General Stock Discussion / Re: Jump to 12MP or 16MP DSLR worth it?
« on: February 28, 2008, 13:03 »
I use a canon 5D since two months and my acceptance rate is much better at IS (from 62% to 80% now), for the others sites near 100% acceptance (no big change), except FT who is lunatic sometimes.
It's interesting for acceptance ratio at IS and also XL size, also for cropping or reducing for SS.

Congratulations Sharply, very good work!!!

Crestock.com / Re: What is your acceptance rate at Crestock ?
« on: February 18, 2008, 12:18 »
Good acceptance ratio with sometimes very very stupid rejection reasons like "out of focus" with perfectly focused images and over ridiculous reasons i don't remember, I'm going to stop uploading here.

Mostphotos.com / Re: Who has had sales at MostPhotos?
« on: February 14, 2008, 05:32 »
2 sales 2 month ago, and nothing more...

Thanks leaf, but I've already changed "province of Alberta, canada" by "the USA", so this release is absolutely generic now, they already accepted a batch of 20 pictures last week with the same model release...

432
i don't understand at all:
today a batch of 20 pictures with IS model release and logo cropped:
15 refused for not generic model release and the last 5 accepted with the same release, I'm going mad...

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia tightening up standards a bit?
« on: February 06, 2008, 19:55 »
I confirm too, I have over 90% of acceptance at Fotolia and since 15 days only 20% in some batch...

I resubmit everything on another account on the French fotolia platform and they have been almost all accepted.

for me, FL is only and the best. With V2 sales are exploded...
Yes, I see you have many greats pictures at Fotolia, I just can imagine that it could be if you
upload at Istock and Shutterstock!!!
Fotolia is the best for you because you have pictures only here!!

Same downloads for me since price change, between 6 and 9 by day.
But earnings are raising with L and XL downloads!

Chasingmoments version is the best for me too, the colors are naturals. I 've done a version very near but I don't know how to post an image on the forum.

I trust you Sharply, but I don't find it even by searching with photograph names.

But this don't explain why I don't sell on bigstock and I'm selling well at other sites, even on 123rf.

444
I don't know why my sales are so low at Bigstock, you said 200 pictures and 50$, for me it's 600 pictures and only 40$ since july.

Do you manage your portfolio or other functions I missed on the site to promote your images?
Because I don't manage any gallery at this time, just uploading and that's all!

General - Top Sites / Re: How is January doing for you?
« on: January 16, 2008, 09:43 »
except Istock with new commissions, doing better and better...others sites are like december.
SS is down for me, passed from 45dl's a day to 15 !!!
123Rf still medium, BigStock is always catastrophic (8$), LO is dead (like always), some downloads at crestock at 0.25c...I think stopping uploading to this stingy site.
Mostphoto: after 2 sell in November, nothing more.
Fotolia is like always: good sales but low earnings
DT is like Fotolia: not bad, but need uploading more stuff
Stockxpert is the same as fotolia and dreamstime.
Since my starting in July, my best month is still November with 550$

Maybe the minority of our microstock buyers are not at all interested (and probably cant tell the difference, McDonalds vs Gournet) in really super high quality.

Yes and it's also normal to sell high resolution and quality images at higher price. We can't sell off our work for 25c.
