AGE is good agency. One of the last mom and pop run agencies out there. I wouldn't worry about their credibility. As for how your images got there. Likely a sub agent agreement with one of you other agencies.

Seriously? You want people to watch as you get abused?

AFTER I requested all my video clips be deleted and my account closed, I got an email from FT trying to explain how there was a bug error that made clips available to be bought for pennies through a subscription scheme. Like a perpetually wayward spouse, they have a way of falling back on bad habits. It's your heart baby.

Pay an extra $100 and get this instead. Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100 I'm guessing the optics on are way better. I own DSLR Canons, I have a couple of Canon G cameras and am quickly realizing they are falling far behind. Look at the Sony a6000 also.

I don't invest that much in my productions at all. I price between $40 and $150. Mostly I sell at around $75. If the clip is reasonably unique, then quality doesn't matter. I'm thinking now that $50 rock bottom for simplest bare bones clips in HD is about right.
And I don't think the market should bend to the bottom feeders at all. If they can't afford it, too bad.

Overpricing low quality work is an insult to the intelligence of customers. I guess you guys are choosing not to read what I write. My "real" stock clips are currently priced at 60 dollars. I also have other work that will be priced higher. But keep focussing on the test shots if you want. I really dont understand why you work with pond5 or act like you are just discovering now that it is a crowd sourced marketplace.
Huh? What someone is willing to pay for something has no correlation to their intelligence. Smart buyers understand they need to keep their suppliers in business and therefore pay appropriately. Smart buyers know that paying $10 for a clip makes them look stupid and cheap to their clients. Smart buyers think 60 bucks is a bit too cheap for "real" clips. I think it comes down to how we look at ourselves as and our own personal worth.

Why share your income with buyers? It costs you time and probably money to sell your vectors to the buyer. PLUS you should be trying to derive an income from the creation of said vector. You are cheating yourself acting as the sales outlet allowing the buyer to get your time for free. It is not good business. You will eventually get tired of being a nice guy and decide that paying your bills is more important. Save yourself a bunch of headache and just ask the going rate.

Friendly advice: you need to have someone with a good knowledge of English proofread and correct your pitch.

I dropped FT because of their poor sales amounts. I was getting a $1.50 for some HD sales. No thanks. Worse than iStock if you can imagine.
I had dropped them also for .21 subs the lowest around.
What % do you get from the $36?
I am getting ready to dive into making animations and I will only upload to places that pay a high % or reasonable with good volume, a lot of work goes into making them.
I feel Istocks new program for vids as an indi not enough royalty and vids as an exclusive thier $$ are quite high priced, could be good but not sure they will have the sales.
No, $36 is the commission you get from 75 credit sales price of 1080P video. It's way higher than $20-23 you get from Shutterstock.
You must have had a sweetheart deal of something, because I never saw anything close to that. Most of the FT sales were in the $10 range to me. They rarely sold anything higher, and like I said the dollar subs killed any idea of continuing with them. There is no way they paid higher than Shutterstock. None.

I've actually had the slowest week for downloads for more than 10 years (I'm not kidding), down 70% on the previous week, so I think it might be meaningful.
Trends are trends, a week is not too early to see them.
I am not sure that you can define a trend if the elements/variables that you have are not stabilized yet.
trend |trend| noun a general direction in which something is developing or changing: Stability is a trend in stasis.

Okay, clearly it's way too early for meaningful trends []
So, why do you ask?

The Sonys and guess others take Canon glass fairly easily. Plus you can get these from Metabones; You get f/2.8 from a f/4 lens. How sweet is that?
The Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds Speed Booster from Metabones allows a full frame Canon EF lens to be mounted to a Micro Four Thirds mount camera and in doing so, increases the angle of view by 0.71x and increases the maximum aperture one f/stop.
When a lens intended for full frame sensors or 35mm film is mounted to a camera with a Micro Four Thirds sensor, it transmits a larger area of light than the smaller sensor was built to accept and therefore the effective angle of view of the lens increases. The Speed Booster condenses light from the lens and projects it onto the MFT sensor allowing it to utilize all of the lens' light and effectively reduces the crop factor of an MFT camera from 2x to 1.07x, producing a full-frame angle of view with an MFT sensor. A corresponding increase in the maximum aperture of one f/stop makes the lens more effective in low-light situations and able to create a shallow depth of field.

Why is everyone so desperate to jump into these dodgy start ups?
Have some self respect.
Amen!! I have so often wondered the same thing. "...has anyone had any sales yet on GlitchStock?"

I hardly ever use my Canon stuff now, using Panasonic and Sony. Will probably get another Panasonic cameras next for 4K video. Canon have lost the plot, apart from the high end pro cameras that might be a waste of money for microstock when they become obsolete so quickly.
More than that, Canon, and Nikon don't seem to get it. I wanted to buy the Nikon 1 V3 but found the the WiFi control allowed for basic shutter release or thereabouts. Completely useless when you look at Panasonic or Olympus and I assume Sony.

"Deborah Dorchak - Also, the larger images sizes made no difference to me. I have a plugin on my Photoshop that allows me to blow up an image to any size without losing the resolution. I saved a lot of money over the years buying 1 credit images and then blowing them up as needed."
thanks for the laugh Deborah
Obviously, they're not going to be the quality she thinks they are, but there's nothing that says she can't modify the image as needed. There's no licensing terms that say an image has to be used at or below the size licensed.
Actually, she's technically correct. She isn't GAINING any resolution but she isn't losing any, either. In practical terms there is also something to be said for her position, since a good 6MP image will produce a respectable 30x20 inch print (100ppi is still pretty sharp) and from there on the more you blow it up the further back you have to stand to see it, so the image degradation isn't likely to be a big problem.
An image can be up-resed a fair amount before it starts to fall apart. As for "saving" money? You got to be kidding. Images are one of cheapest, highest value items they can buy.

Sometimes the best thing that can happen is a total disaster. The person who made this and perhaps some of the other hapless decisions will be given his ten million dollar bonus and asked to leave.

Even though sales have increased, I'll have to say no because of the time of year. It should be a lot better.

Question -- How does the NEW iStock stack up against Shutterstock? Answer - take two dozen eggs and place them one on top of the other.
New video sale on iStock -- 16/09/2014 8:16 AM MDT HD 1080 (mov) Regular $7.50 USD
Old video sales on iStock -- HD 720 (mov) Regular $17.85 USD 06/03/2014 6:00 AM MST HD 1080 (mov) Regular $22.15 USD 06/03/2014 5:12 AM MST HD 1080 (mov) Regular $21.85 USD

I imagine the next phase will be to change the amount we receive in our accounts from dollars to New Dollars. The amount in our accounts will look the same BUT payout will be at the rate of one standard dollar for every three New Dollars in the account.
