I did revise the price but DT have emailed me saying that the buyer did receive the initial offer of 250. No way do I want it to go this cheap. DT say I have to change the price manually buy editing the file. That is the exact same way I did it in the first place. The only way you can set the price is where it says "set a price" with submit next to it.

It's just an arty, organic nature background texture that is just only a single image. No variations. If a huge company like Ikea/M@S were to buy for inside their stores then the price would be paid for sure. I set it at 500 but think I will go to 5000. Of course I have , and will later hear nothing.

453
Oh well. We will see.

454
I have had an email from DT stating that a buyer would like to purchase exclusive rights license to one of my images. It is also with SS/IS. I have no idea when I follow the link in the email what to set the price to as it is between 250-5000.

Has anyone had experience selling exclusively ?

But it has just happened again. Same building that was accepted a couple of weeks ago. 3 more images of the same building (same facade, different angle) just rejected on the basis of "trademark" It seems the rules vary from person to person.

So if sales are tanking on IS and SS does that mean nobody is buying ?
YES, why to buy when you can get for free!

Free ?

I am still missing PP income from Feb which showed on my stats but NOT in my balance. My support ticket is almost 2 months not answered. When I posted on the forum it was locked and I was told to be patient. :'(

I have just had my 3rd email regarding Feb recoupment. My third amount out of 6 is about to be taken so it can't be that that is causing my missing income. Still nothing from support.

A month on and still no reply from support. Unbelievable.

Shutterstock.com / Building release or not building release ?
« on: April 27, 2014, 03:33 »
SS seem to be very inconsistent in the requirement of a building release. I have submitted many exteriors and interiors with no requirement but some they turn down for that reason. My last batch nearly all were rejected on that basis. Generic interior that could not be identified. In fact they are empty and due for renovation.

no prob, PM your email address and I will send it to you

Thanks Dave but I managed to get it. Nikon said their server was down but just checked and it's up. Installed A and B firmware as it says on Nikon site it addresses issue of dead battery. All done and it's still the same  :(

So I get to the Nikon support page and click to download the latest D200 firmware. Nothing happens. Nothing downloads. Can anyone else confirm the same problem ?

Dreamstime.com / Re: New design for submission page
« on: April 23, 2014, 08:22 »
Well I find the new upload page is pretty useless because you can't select similar files for copying and pasting to save time like you could with the old design. Why do people have to mess with what isn't broken ?

Yes you can, Herg, they've hidden it as an "autopopulate" button on the top right side of the upload box. Click on that and a pop-up appears that give you the old copying options (I found it a couple of days back).

Much appreciated.  :)

I don't think it unreasonable to feel neglected at still having heard nothing from support. That money has gone astray and I have no way of proving it.

Is there a Nikon slr body that would fit these lenses that you recommend ? Would be good to have HD video too.

I don't sorry. Just the 2 batteries.

Yes, when this problem first started to rear up I just put paper in the force the battery closer to the terminals getting a better connection. This now doesn't work. Cleaned all points with alcohol on cotton bud but no avail. I don't think it is the batteries even though one may not be Nikon, the other def is Nikon (came with camera) and they both show dead. I can't even get enough power now to even work the menu so I can try and update the firmware. So frustrating ! It is obvious by all the many other users out there that it is happening to that this is a D200 problem. So now I can't even get power to fire up the data screen which renders the camera a piece of expensive junk.

Lots about D200 "dead battery syndrome" if you search online.
One thread here.

With Li-ion batteries in particular I wouldn't try discharging them except in the camera, or charging them with anything except a charger designed for that battery.

Yes, did a bit of digging myself and found a can of worms. Time to invest in a new camera I think.

All points are clean but I did clean with alcohol as you advised just in case. It still shows one bar on the power and then starts flashing. Everytime I turn on the power it shows fully charged for about a second before dropping. Both batteries were working fine after being fully charged up until yesterday which puts the owness on the camera. Around 5 years ago I would say there was an intermittent power problem between almost no power and fully charged when i was out on location shooting in cold weather. If i pushed the battery further in and used a small piece of card behind the battery it seemed to cure it.

Again, the electrical pins inside the battery housing do not look out of place or bent and I haven't done anything to them. It's a mystery :-\
