He submited 750+ images in one batch at SS, and got 190 aproved? Dont you get a warning for such things (5 warnings - ban on 3 months). ?
Aproval rate less than 30%, it is waste of time to me. He had to click categories for each image. OMG.
It is ridiculous. No wonder we dont have sales these days, this guy overwhelmed search with new images. lol.

Check this debate on FT forum: http://us.fotolia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=138543what do you think about other companies selling prints of our images, bought from FT. Do they need to by extended licence, or not? I think it OK way to promote further more our work trough FT API program, and I am OK with this. At least they dont buy subscriptions! LOL!  I didnt quite read TOS, so maybe this is wrong what they are doing, I dont know. What do you think?

some news: Last minute update on MoneyBookers:
We have had answer from their part and it looks promising. This payment option will be back online soon. We cannot say tomorrow but surely next week MoneyBookers will be available online again.

No! I do it only for the money. I like to shoot industrial art, old abandoned factories, big old rusty machines, and stuff like that. That does not sell well on microstock.

I never use USB plug, I have a card reader on my PC, integrated, and it is easier for me to eject memory card and stick it into PC and transfer images.

I have a personal webpage for a year now, and it is time to re-new my domain, but I dont see how the site helped me in terms of sales. Do you have personal web site, and do you think it helps you?
I think I wont re-new my domain, it is just waste of money and FTP space. Not popular enough.

Something what I HATE on fotolia is when you click on your own photo to sort keywords or anything else, site counts that like view...

I have more downloads today (sunday) than on friday! 35 vs 30.
Yesterday (saturday) - 20 dls.
Thats pretty low, considering my average of 80-100 dls per good day.

I upload regulary. The other day I uploaded 250 (got accepted about 200) in single batch, but didnt see any incease in downloads. 30-40 downloads per day...
I had about 80-110 downloads per day in April & May 2008 for example.

I dont agree, I put a lot of time in past to sort my keywords, and optimize search chances, but now all that work is wasted.
But anyway, sales are OK, so I dont complain. They seems to change search engine rules every few months.
Fotolia, PLEASE DO NOT make any more changes to search engine! This setup (from 1st september 2008) works very well!
Surprisingly I am also doing well this September. I stopped putting lots of keywords in Fotolio since when some people thought that having less than 10 keywords would give you a better position. I guess that strategy now works for September! Haha! I'm not complaining!
nope. that worked in july. since august it does not work either. sorry to dissapoint you what ever the rule is, it is working OK so far. have regular sales. good.
