What's the rush? There are 100 or so hours left in the month. Jeeess...you'd think we were misled before by Lucky Oliver, Snap V, Yay, etc., etc.

I have one measly sale with Yay all this year and six sales in the last two weeks with Veer. I think some more patience is necessary for some of us.

The sales stats page was promised by Bryan for late this month. I haven't had a rejection problem at all with Veer. All SnapV images were approved. Most rejections on new uploads mirrored rejections from one or another of the other sites. I usually just submit a few images at one time. Maybe that's the key. Or maybe I'm far better than I thought. So I'm pleased so far with Veer. And 6 sales in two weeks ain't bad for a new site.

I do one thing only. I ask them to Google the following terms: Wedding Photography, Micro stock photography, Macro stock photography, Commercial photography, and Photojournalism. Then call me in a week to discuss. That exercise will teach them more about photography careers than all the college photo classes they could take in a lifetime. 99% of the time you'll never hear another word from them on the subject.

Ooops. I'm not on any of those sites except for Veer. And WAY too early to make such a judgment on a new site. So far, after wading through my 261 images I find 6 good sales. To me that's a great start, far superior to all new sites I've tried combined. And it is beating my sales at Big Stock, Yay, and Featurepics by a huge amount. Looking forward to the sales reporting module they are promising this month.

Oboy, A previous response from Veer said they would have that sales report page by the last week of this month.

I also think something is out of whack regarding the very low number of views shown. For awhile I had one sale with zero views. ?? Maybe it's my great reputation that triggered that sale. Ill bet it's a problem with the software that will be fixed once the sales reporting module is complete later this month.

What bothers me about this change is having no suitable notification of the limit raise. The notice is buried in the "Alert" tab with nothing signifying that a new message is in there. The prior alert in that tab was from back in May. You'd think they'd at least send out an email or put a flag on the site so you'd go to the Alert tab.
The explanation there is a reasonable one. Too bad they weren't more up-front with it.

I thought the payout has always been $50 so I'm not too depressed. My current total is $45 so it'll still be every two months or so for payouts for me. I think that Veer will soon supersede BS in sales for my images.

Rejections are just so random I would be nuts to go exclusive with any one site. At IS I just had one image in the vertical format accepted and the next image of the identical scene but in the horizontal format rejected for "artifacts". Same settings taken 10 seconds apart.

My acceptance rate is 95% there. But most were transferred from SV. Maybe since I only upload 2 or 3 at a time lately I don't have so many rejections. Most of my rejections are for "lack of commercial appeal" even though all have sold okay on other sites. Just another example of the subjective nature of the beast.

According to you, YOU asked what they were looking for and presumably wanted a truthful answer. So why did you concoct a bigotry motivation?

I agree. The first 4 sales at Veer were of images not all that popular on the other sites. I liked the images and wondered why they weren't better sellers. Example: http://images.veer.com/IMG/TIMG/MPP/1280953_T.JPG

Whatalife,
Example: a recent day showed 10 downloads and $45.66 on the stats user_view page. But on the my_uploads page for the same day showed only 6 downloads and about $12 in income.
Does the my_uploads page not show ELs? If not I can't find where to see them. I do see under Extended Licenses a Total royalty column but no way to see when those royalties occurred. Any ideas?

For me:
Veer very exciting. 4 quick sales first week. Promising.
IStock still good. Odd thing there: Huge sales one day (stats page) but not shown on downloads page. Emailed them about it but no response so far.
SS slow this month. DT good StockXpert super slow.
Yay? Must have closed shop around January 2009. Big Stock still moribund. FeatureP. Are they still running?

I'll gladly trade quick sales for a tardy sales reporting function. The shock I feel is that they are actually getting sales right out of the box. Makes you think they know what they're doing.

...next month or so.

I'd be skeptical too Click, except that sales have started there immediately -- at least with my images. Better than the first entire year of Yay and Lucky Oliver combined. With about 95% less hype. Not too bad for a week or so in the micro business. I won't even start my standard rant on the Snapvillage fiasco. I'm real inclined to read "a month or so" from this bunch as pretty close to 30 days.

This is promising also re: my inquiry to Veer.
Me: When will we have a sales reporting page? If I knew what was selling from my portfolio I could more easily plan more uploads. Lou
Them: Hi Lou That feature and a few others are in progress, and we will be rolling them out over the next month or so.

Ryan

I too am astounded that there is no stat page by now. I've had 4 decent sales so far that is far superior to other newbie sites results so early. I won't be digging through them again to calculate results though. My evaluation so far is "promising". But, c'mon Veer, give us some numbers already.

Cyber, You've got the right idea and a great attitude. Your progression will continue as long as you persevere despite outside pessimism. That's true for microstock or any other endeavor. Your past occupation means nothing. Your view of the future is what counts. And the drive to achieve it. Good luck.

I have a whopping 2.50 euro total there this year. I consider Yay a total waste of upload time. What do you expect with a government financed/run operation plus no marketing?

It's worth browsing your images to find sales. I just went through 250+ of mine and found sales of $0.35, $1.75, and $5.25.
Not bad for a new site. Leaves Lucky Oliver, Yay, and SnapV and many others in the dust.
You'd think they'd be rallying the troops with these results by now, along with a nice sales reporting feature.

I don't know how to find out if I have a sale. I browsed through some of my images and saw a few views. Is there a stats page somewhere re: sales that I haven't found? You sellers: Have you been notified of a sale?

Nice going Talanis. Yours is the first sale I've heard about there. Now I'm going to go look at my portfolio. I'm drooling already. Wish me luck.
