I made that thing with metal tube where you put some berry ( i used elder which doesn't wash of when it hits clothes) inside and blow it out to hit people. A policeman was in the parked car infront of my house with open car window, I couldn't resist and I hit him in the eye , his face was all purple from that huge soft juicy elder berry , he got out and slapped me few times lol
Priceless , for all the rest there is mastercard 478

The only numbers I know is that it took them half a year to pay me last time with all kind of excuses , like we didn't saw you in our list , then we thought we payed you cause you requested payout long ago , etc.
Now we are on the same track again , two months , not replaying to my e-mails , forum posts etc. 479
Microstock Services / Re: Moneybookers mastercard« on: February 17, 2010, 19:37 »Problem is that American companies can not make payouts on moneybookers... FP for example is not so big , but I get MB payouts whenever I request one , last one not so long ago so there is always a way just if they are willing to try. I dont know but it seems that Cutcaster also can use MB according to this: http://www.cutcaster.com/info/payments By the way I don't contribute to sites that cant arrange moneybookers payout , and many people that I know also dont. I wonder if someone can make a list of those new sites that are able to pay us with MB so I dont have to search one by one I know that all big 6 , Canstock , Featurepics , Bigstock and Crestock can make payments with MB. What about others ? 480

Adobe Stock / Re: Increase in Credit Value at Fotolia?« on: February 02, 2010, 23:50 »Actually I think they say a % of credits. Observe that all our accounting there is in credits, which only become $ when we ask for a payout. Not that I agree with this, but I think they have their wording correct. I think you are right , in case when that credit for buyers and our credit are not valued the same , the % they pay us has no meaning whatsoever. What is that credit now , they are not paying the % of the image price but % of something they invented. Whats next , 100$ credits for buyers and we get % of number 1 again ? I wonder if that's even legal , maybe it is , but definitely its not nor ethical nor moral. 483

I just signed , I have to say I like isyndica, but few things that come to mi mind about my use of isyndica:
First , in your catalog page you can sort images by date and image title , there should be an option to sort them by file name , at least it would be very important for me and for many people I know , that are using serial number infront of the name of the file. Then , in the upload ( or syndicate ) page , you can see what images are uploaded where. Well , i doubt that anyone has started using isyndica from his day one , people have many images that are uploaded to some sites but not to other. I think an option to also manually set what images are uploaded where would be more than helpful , and make things easier. Only my first impressions 484

Milinz , as you said you were rejected 6 times , is that "game" over or you have to wait for some time and try again ? If so how long ?
I'm in the same boat , only there were 5 times in my case , last time I had to wait 6 months I think ( cause that waiting time passed long ago ) but I still don't dare to try my luck again , especially if that is my last try , so thats why I would like to know that. Thanks 486

This doesn't belong here , but if provocations are allowed then the answer has to come what are you talking about , USA always cared only about its ass. First you declared war to Japan after Pearl Harbor, and than Germany and Italy declared war to you because of that , but the fact is that USA avoided to declare war to directly to Germany at the same time they did to Japan. So you never entered the war before Axis declare it to you and that's a fact. Again those conflict with Japan was for pure economical reasons , and by the way the backbone of your navy was destroyed in a single attack. Second , if it wasn't for Soviet Union Hitler would have taken Europe without any problem , then got stronger and take it on you so you had no choice but to enter the war to save only your own asses. If the Soviet union joined him as he planned , you would be also speaking German now and that's another historical fact you cant avoid. Again your bravery erupted few days before Japanese would declare defeat to the Soviet Union , so you started a nice genocide against pure civilians with atomic weapons only to avoid Eastern part of the world falling in hand of Communists and protecting only your own interests. World peace , haha , yes sure , so you have to be thankful to the rest of the world as much as they have to be to you and no one owns you nothing. And since you obviously like jokes lets me also throw one: Yo know how US proved the existence of mass destruction weapons to UN ? Well ,luckily they kept the bill. Big kiss 487

The level of outrage over something SS has no control over, plus the ensuing misinformation that was being spread, was pretty ridiculous and very unprofessional on the part of some of the contributors. Thank goodness calmer heads prevailed over here at Microstockgroup where accurate information can be shared. If it weren't for contributors that part of taxing only sales from US buyers would not be mentioned ,they didnt have an answer on most important questions ...and first reaction on contributors unprofessional behavior was especially professional I agree with that part that something was ridiculous 488
Shutterstock.com / Re: IRS Withholding Taxes for non U.S. Submitters« on: May 30, 2009, 19:22 »..First, as you are fully aware, the Internet was created by the United States under the supervision of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore. There would be no such thing as the Internet if it weren't for good old Al. Since the U.S. created the Internet, it is only fair that it reaps the rewards from any commerce done over the Internet.I don't think Al Gore would of got very far without the invention of Alexander Graham Bell. Perhaps the Scottish should reap the rewards of the telecom industry Ever heard of Tesla , with your logic about rewards based on his patents somebody would own something to this part of the world big time , probably for every single button that was pushed in the world today , and that would not be all 489
Shutterstock.com / Re: IRS Withholding Taxes for non U.S. Submitters« on: May 27, 2009, 22:48 »SS, not the photographer, is the seller - that's why we receive a commission. Exactly , I'm a manufacturer from my example above , I'm not selling anything in US , SS is US seller , so what do I have to do with US , I'm not manufacturing there, I'm not selling there, and I haven't set my foot on US ground ? The can treat my income only as SS expenses 490
Shutterstock.com / Re: IRS Withholding Taxes for non U.S. Submitters« on: May 27, 2009, 22:28 »Notarized copies... Funny how different countries work. I have a bank account in UK and, as a non-UK resident, I was able to apply not to pay taxes on investments. All I had to do was fill in a form, sign that I was telling the truth, etc, etc. I guess the fact that my address was not in UK also counted, but then this is not much for a proof. SS is US based and we are not , so "our income" can be legally treated by US government only as "SS expenses" cause in this story only SS and US contributors are under their jurisdiction and rest of us are certainly not. We can have legal obligations only to our governments ,and I see no reason why should we provide anything. If we don't pay our taxes we will legally answer to our government. If a American seller wants to sell a shirt manufactured in China , he will pay the Chinese manufacturer , import the shirt and sell it on US ground to whoever. US can charge him the import tax , income tax , whatever , but they have nothing to do with that manufacturer in China , for his income he is responsible only to China laws, and does not have to provide nothing to US , especially not to pay US any taxes on his income. 491

Im not an accountant and I just came from a concert so I'm not in the best for for thinking , but one thing comes to my mind
With this logic , don't all those countries where the buyers are from have the same rights as US in this case , and are also entitled to their part of the cake from all the cumulative fee that left their borders from its citizens pockets. Also , if we, that provide free images to SS , (cause we are not payed for the upload) have to pay taxes to US where SS is based , with same logic SS would have to pay part of its income that came from our images to our governments the same way as we do ? Why would SS avoid double taxes and we don't , or why would US have more rights than other countries in this case ? 492

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Tripod on a plane« on: May 18, 2009, 15:52 »
One tip
With or without the tripod avoid Etihad Airways , they just made me travel 1000 km for nothing , didn't sent my documents on time , I didn't get my visa approved they wanted to make me pay about half of the ticket price more to cancel the flight for a day or two , and they don't want to refund my money. Their employment didn't know whats a .pdf file , even when they use them daily for their application forms , doesnt know what a attachment is , ( they lost 2 days in the process because of that ) ,we had millions of stupid problems , and my two friends got their visas approved even they we sent all the documents together as group. Imagine my surprise in my phone conversation with their employee who was working on our visas for more than 20 days , ( they claim they need 14 days) when I find out she did not know that Dubai is U.A.E. as well as Abu Dhabi. So they were apparently mad at me for canceling my flight they planned for me 2 days after the flight I payed, that was today , cause they need two more days for my visa approval. Those people are not normal , and told me to forget about the money they took for the flight and for visa expenses. Great vacations I had ![]() 494
Cameras / Lenses / Re: Tripod on a plane« on: May 13, 2009, 20:28 »but why would you need to carry on the tripod. i usually carry on the fragile and important equipment (camera, lenses, film, mem cards, flashmeter, etc) . tripod is not going to be damaged by handling, and should better be in your cargo. in some countries you may be disallowed too, as this can be considered a likely weapon, considering that even a camping knife is disallowed in certain countries. this could delay your flight, why cause it a hassle for nothing. some security won't take no for an answer, and remember you're in foreign soil. Perseus , sorry about my English , obviously I wasn't clear enough. I wasn't thinking about taking the tripod with me in the plane , only camera and lenses , and leave the tripod in the cargo that will go bellow. So I guess that's OK ? Anyway I will stay at my friends house , he plays some sport professionally there for a year now so he already warned me about "protocols" in Dubai and even promised my mother that he will be responsible for me ![]() 495

To end the story, after few e-mails they told me I wasn't payed cause somehow their records showed that the payment was sent to me a month ago.
They finally did the transaction today and the money is on my account after 5 months. 500
Crestock.com / Re: I think Crestock is refusing to pay me« on: April 22, 2009, 18:11 »
Maybe its time for a quick update about this matter.
My Crestock agony is now lasting over 5 months , they claimed few weeks ago that their moneybookers problem is resolved and they will pay first people who requested their payment first. It seems they "forgot" and skipped me again like in december when they were paying just "small fees", now they made few payments , but still not a trace of those 600$ that they own me now , and apparently they have no valid reason not to do it. Lars is ignoring my forum posts (as you can see at their forum) , he is also not responding my e-mails to him ,and he just pretends like I don't exist. I'm not an expert , but it seems to me that with the practice they are using , they are walking on that other side of the law. |
