Thanks for the info Brasilnut. I'm more of a people person so I won't won't make the cut at Harding. 50 MB is crazy!
It seems there isn't a lot of feedback on the macro agencies... I can read all about Alamy, SS, istock but nothing on the high end ones.

It is a smokescreen to distract you from the real problems. They want our attention elsewhere...

Ask the bears to file a property release - or would they need one too ...

They are having too much fun playing with us "meager" contributors. They will rip that band aid off nice and slow... I deleted/disabled ALL of my selling files when they started making contributors pay "their share" of taxes.

I'm doing a lot of research on the Macro world and would like your opinion or thoughts on which one is the best or the worst.
I have hundreds of images waiting to be uploaded but Stocksy is not open for submission. I have it narrowed down to these agencies. 1. imagesource.com 2. blendimages.com 3. inmagine.com
Quick note: Apparently, MS (microstock) is not interchangeable with Royalty Free. The macro agencies really hate micro. I have sister images that have never seen micro but since the "mother" was on micro, I can't upload any of them - such a shame.
I have happily been accepted to arcangel and very excited but some of my images are just not the right "fit" and you are stuck in a 3 year contract so I have to be careful about which ones go on.
Any thoughts or suggestions would make me so happy. All of the blogs seem to be outdated.

DICKR - Well thats it then. Im giving them 24 hours to answer our mail, and if they dont comply our specific terms we are deleting our account there :-)
Did the same when Depositphotos tried to be smart, and so did a lot of other pros. Now they only have crap images at Deposit
Your images are so good! Please don't accept less. You deserve more. I deleted my port with DP as well...

It still feels good to let loose about it even though it won't make a difference. I find comfort knowing I'm not the only one upset ... we are in the same boat.

Sorry to hear about Offset rejecting your application too. It isn't easy getting in from what others say. How are sales at ArcAngel for you? Do you reach a payout quickly or does it take a long time to get established there?

Thank you for looking. I think I have to come to realize I'm not a "snapshot" photographer. I want to be - but I can't seem to fight my style ...

I just submitted my application for ArcAngel. I'm really hoping I get in... This is what I submitted: http://creativeangela.comNot sure if I need more samples? If I don't get accepted I really don't know what to do anymore... Micro is going down the drain and not worth it anymore.

I know this is an old topic but I was just rejected to Offset. I spent a couple of months preparing exclusive content for them. I was not good enough. I'm not submitting the content to SS. I'm not sure where to go with my images anymore ...

I'm "terminated" too guys. I stopped uploading to them many years ago. No big deal.

I'm a quality over quantity type of producer so micro is not working out for me anymore. Something did change drastically of which will never come back again.

Fairplay, can I ask which agency your company started to use? Very curious ... Stocksy?

As a buyer, why don't you go somewhere else? Is it the price that keeps you there? I'm trying Macro and wondering how the buyer thinks ...

Yes, sir. I have already discussed this with them.
"Hello,
I am a contributor. I want to sell some RM photos but they were once sold as RF on Shutterstock and Dreamstime. Is it okay to delete them from those sites and then list them as RM? Do I have to wait 30 days or anything?"
Their response:
"That wouldnt be a problem neither there will be a waiting period, you can just delete them immediately from the other sites and upload at Alamy straight away.
Hope this helps."

I think Macro demands very special images that can't be found on Micro.
I took off 3 of my very best (unique) selling micro images and put them on Alamy RM. People email me all the time asking for them and where they are. Once I point them to Alamy - it gets quiet.
They have not yet been downloaded on Alamy... I'm not sure what this says about Macro but I'm sick of the downhill spiral of micro so I'm willing to take the chance... It is just getting worse and worse every month. So I'm going to try ArcAngel, Trevillion and Offset. I may not get accepted but I'm going to give it my all.

Grizz, what about Stocksy? Are you selling there?
I'm entering Macro this year and very curious about what people have to say.

Jaen - you have an outstanding gallery!
I thought you had to have thousands of images to be in FT Infinite or some company?

I would also like some up-to-date info from fellow "macroers"
I'm about to submit an application to OFFSET. I searched the forums but no one talks about Offset, Maybe that is a rule they have when you become an artist ...
I'm considering these agencies too: ArcAngel and Trevillion
Any insights would be great.

SS has to remove him before the payout! I hope it happens soon... I'm sure he has gotten some money already.

I'm looking at ArcAngel or trevillion. I'm not sure which ... both are exclusive. Something happened to SS last year and I don't think it will ever get back to normal.
