Is there any data on how these same stats looked a year or two ago? I'd think the change from year to year would be even more interesting to see.

The demostration is to show that IS is comparable to SS.

Not just to demonstrate that you can prove anything with statistics, then?

no! it aint comparable in any way.. actually TS doesnt have anything to compete with SS (volume of subs).. in the other way SS has a lot more to compare regarding SOD, OD, EL which everybody keep on having more and more.. IS doesnt look good in the long term, some can have faith..

« on: December 29, 2011, 21:01 »
never applied to an ITIN and so far not an issue, my tax form on DP is still on "awaiting" but on other agencies I have the same form, for me its 10% from US sales (not much actually from them, at least from what I see on SS), no need to apply to anything

Had about 500 images port by mid year and are now just below 1000. Made $7.84 in selling 4 images for 2011. In my books they are therefore 4x better than Zoonar   ;D

I am finishing uploading my portfolio to Zoonar  ;D
I stopped uploading mid year. Put in a lot of effort into the site. Have 500 images now for a year there - still no sales.

I dont see where is the much effort.. FTP and like 5 clicks to place 100 pictures into partners.. that said I can FTP 25GB in a day
Most sites are like that, but only if you do not care about all the marketing opportunities every site offers you. Like Canstock has 3 (you can just upload, or you can upload and index, or you can upload, index and create galleries). They also have lightboxes of which I created 8 and updated them as I uploaded. Bit more trouble than just dropping your images into the FTP client ;)

dont think that lightboxes at canstockphoto will make you sell like crazy, per example Yuri has only 3 lightboxes, it is a lot more about the pictures, also canstockphoto have the similar below the picture, it is more than enough

« on: December 29, 2011, 16:05 »
This site is horrible by all means, and they ask for money in application? ;D

I wouldnt say that but we all have different experiences on agencies, they are my 6th/7th best agency :D

I didn't even send them, their site is simply ugly. I'm surprised how they make sales!  ;D 6th best agency? But can you make money? Really?

have talked about them a few time ago.. like I said 6 or 7th doesnt mean a lot.. this month I have finished uploading all my portfolio but before that I had like 1000 pictures and got like 140 sales for 285 EUR (around 2 years online)

For me they are a Middle Tier Site, no better or worse then the rest in that group.  The upload dance is a pain in the ass . . . . . . . but its their site.

I do like the fact that they tell you who purchased a "License Sale"

the uploading aint that hard

1. FTP
2. Process
3. Pick 100 and copy main keywords
4. Pick that 100 and edit, click on Rights and 30% on the bottom

98% of my uploads are isolations and were accepted. The few that were rejected were for failing to meet size requirements. You can find the reason by clicking on Hidden, and then clicking on the thumbnail. The explanation is to the right of the photo.

I would agree on your work for sure! BUT I would say again that PD is the strictest agency ever and making tons of errors doing reviews (my top5 pictures in SS, 4 were rejected at PD) :)

reviews arent fair in any way once I have double portfolio in all top agencies beside IS (due to slots) and DT (not what we are looking for or similarity)

they do need a few more "reviewers".. they are the agency that rejected me the most pictures, my port at PD is half of SS :D

I'm guessing that everyone who earned over X dollars got one, or perhaps the top X contributers.  I wonder what that amount was :)

havent you got one?

anybody over 10k $ that havent received?

1. a lot of distractions (mainly buildings) and over exposed behind the soldier (ar conditioners on the building have some trademarks too)
2. subject (but perhaps after getting approved they might approve it, I believe they arent that picky anymore)
3. isolation (too rough and tons of saturation)

best of luck for the lowest royalties % in the world :D

Clearly a case of iStockholm syndrome. Worship the monster that bites you. Come to think of it, it's much like North-Korea.

again you are right :D I was thinking of something like FT ranking system (4 subs = 1 sale)

I dont remember a post/topic of you I dont agree, you are a very wise person, wish you a great christmas and 2012!

thanks for your insight everyday
