if we are forced into the PP why not receiving a few "RCs" from there?
not that I would reach the 17% but it does make sense no?

It's funny how people put the blame easily on agencies.
If you were in their places, what would you do?
I havent seen your answer here

dont know how much buyers think of contributors cut but I would say a very fair agency, something like at least 50% with very good communication and impartiality, that would give higher motivation to create better content, keeping pictures fresh and strong.. too bad to achieve this some millions are needed

from the 500 how many have different "keywords"? are they all different? honestly do it yourself unless you have a keyworder that is next to you like a few meters and you can check and trust.. keywording is very time consuming but at least you will be confident

get more serious about microstock, dont have any dream plans of creating RM collection or other, I just want to be more focused and taking it seriously, shooting more travel than studio (but so far studio looks a lot more relevant in terms of revenue) I need to step up and work (hard) something like 5 to 8h a day instead of 8 or less per week

I have uploaded the initial 10 to see if could get accepted and I was..
I now have a couple of questions....
1 , do the test images go in to my portfolio or do I have to resubmit them..? ? ?.
2 I have just uploaded a small batch of images via FTP ( and after it being a bit longwinded they are now in a queue to see if they are accepted or not....if they are accepted where do i find them as I cant find a button to veiw a portfolio ? ? ?, unless thats because there are no images in it yet..
any advice help would be appreciated, steve.
you arent trying very hard too, the submission aint easy but it is quite easy to see your portfolio, just go to your "nickname" on the top right corner and a few options will show up you need to upload the initial approval batch

My question is for those that do, how much do you sell in Shutterstock and Dreamstime?
Do you have many images that sell at least 10 times a month?
Do you have images that sell more than 20 downloads a month? If so, how high?
And travel photography may also include city photography, which is more specifically what I do, like city skylines and architecture.
Have a link to your work? I honestly do not copy or get replica inspired, I just like to see what people sell and what gets approved. I want to hit the road after next year and do travel and scenic.
I also hesitate to flop over what little I know for someone unidentified and unlinked.
exactly, not to mention only 13 posts, 3 topics created and minimal information shared

... and also please can you PM me links to those images so that I can copy them gain inspiration from your work.
dreamstime links are preferrable because of the geo tagging I can be inspired by them so much easier.
one of the coolest features ever LOL

On my Author Dashboard there was a list on the left of files waiting to be reviewed. There is a portfolio tab on top with all your accepted files and a tab marked hidden with all your rejected files. There was a period when there was no hidden tab, so maybe you don't have that one until you have some rejected.
nop! you cannot see the rejected files (no resubmit), you can see the ones that have someking of "flaw" and you can correct that and resubmit, havent understood how is that possible so far..

reading your previous posts/topics you were non-exclusive, now exclusive, if you want real answers you need to get back and see how it goes again for you but if it wasnt good before dont believe it will be now, not saying that agencies are more picky but sure a little are.. you were independent in 2008? I dont think you will have a RPI of 3$ staying with the top5 agencies unless your 500 files are really sweet

the revenue overview shows all the sales, the regular ones that have also a preview of the pic and the subs that usually are like 4 or 5 together

ridiculous. if iStock were to disappear, the focus would simply move to the next agency. and iStock is the only agency charging decent prices for images in microstock. be careful what you wish for or every one of your images will be sold for a penny before you know it.
aint 7 cents a few pennies?
