It seems like it's when an image is more than 20 mb or so that it crashes. Is it GD lib or is it the memory? I tried editing the htaccess as well as adding a couple of lines to wp-config.php but it still cant handle 20mb plus files?

I went ahead and uploaded more. It only did it with one file. Strange.

When I try to process uploads from FTP I can only select 1-6 images, if I select more, it just sends me to an almost blank page with just Process Images written on it.
Is this memory exhaust relating to gd lib?

It's basically just 590 x 442 in dimensions. Looks good and all, only problem is there's a lot of height missing. No one else experiencing this issue?

Hi guys.
It seems my photo preview on the photo page is cropped ie. potential buyers don't see the entire image. Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance, you guys rock!

I've been waiting to send a sitemap to Google until I finished revamping all the images currently up on my site (about 700). After those are done, all new ones added will be right as soon as they get there.
Does this make sense? Or would I be better off sending the sitemap on even though many of the permalinks are going to be changed?
To me, it seems to make sense to get those done correctly before I submit the whole thing to Google (and Bing), so that's what I'm doing. Hope that's the right strategy.
Advice to those just starting your sites: get Yoast and do SEO right from the get-go. It's very time consuming to redo hundreds of images after the fact.
Do you have any particular advise on how to set up Yoast, or did you go with the standard settings it comes packed with?

OK great! I am switching to moneybookers as they charge less for currency exchanges than Paypal so lots of money to be saved there.. I'll recommend it to non-US peeps

Hi guys, do Shutterstock deduct 2.5% when paying out via Moneybookers? Canstockphoto seem to do this, so I was wondering if that was common practice for all agencies paying out with Moneybookers.

cardmaverick: would you mind sending a link to the terms and conditions that you referred to in your reply?

Well Im already IN the Getty Flickr collection but I'm not fond of it.. I just had a 100 pound sale from a guy who found my photos on Flickr which is why I thought about expanding that option..

Would it be legal to put up all your stock photos on Flickr with a watermark - and then wait for prospective customers to contact you? If you dont put any licensing text on their or instructions? Or would it even be okay to write for licensing contact [email protected] ? Quite a lot of people sell through flickr so that might be an idea? Getty is not an option..

Do you know of any process where I can automatically filter out photos with more than a certain resolution? I wouldn't like to go through 5000 photos.

I hope you'll be able to give me a bit of advice on this matter. I've got a large number of photos, and wish to find ones that doesn't meet the minimum requirement in terms of resolution and then resize them so they do. This process should be automatic. Any ideas?

I've got this nagging feeling that I'm losing out on money when I convert from US dollars to my country's currency. I'm using Paypal and wondering whether other online options would have a better currency exchange rate?

Hi
I'd be interested in getting in to the Chinese or Japanese markets. In fact any general up and coming market perhaps outside of the Anglo-Saxon world. So, do you know of any microstock/midstock sites out there?

Hi all,
Is it possible to download your portfolio from SS? I am shocked at how many photos in my portfolio I have managed to delete on my own hard drive..
Thanks

Hi
Do any of you use a certain photo management software? I would like a piece of software where I am able to tag each photo as to wether they were accepted or not at the agencies - I would have to do this manually. Of course i cant keyword a photo dreamstime because that would show up in the actual metadata of the file so I guess i want a program that are able to make keywords seperated from the actual metadata part..
Any suggestions?
